But, after the arrival of WAMP stack, that is no more true. With this stack, you can work with PHP on windows as easy as it can get. WAMP provides far advanced functions and features than any other stack. It provides apache, mysql, php, sqlbuddy and most importantly, Xdebug. Xdebug is the most useful function for me to debug php errors. There is no other options which is more suitable, available in the market. **What do you dislike about WampServer?** WAMP comes with the by default stack of components, but it doesnt allow us to add other components through this. However there is a facility that allows to add previous versions of the default stacks to test my projects in diffferent versions. **Recommendations to others considering WampServer:** WAMP stack is too easy to download, install and to use. But if anyone is trying first time, they may find it little hard to operate its functions. It is truly beneficial to all the developers who are working on the windows and dont like to work on linux. I have used it to make, to test and to organize PHP projects. The perfect local host for setting up a local machine lab for your website development without having to do it online in a production environment.This is the only best server I had found for running the PHP application. This is an apache server. It have the php.ini for setting the initial variable for the php application. Also it have the support for the mysql. So that i dont have to install mysql seperately. It comes with all the software for developing the web application. PhpmyAdmin in this is very useful for managing the mysql data. it has a very beautiful GUI approach for managing the sql data. It have all the text and field. Apart from forum, all is good. In some cases we felt, wampserver website homepage need to have upgraded UX, currently UX of the wampserver.com website is not that great. First is to replicate production server easily to our local windows machine. This enable us for quick/hot fix and also new feature development. Inside are the tools that make this the best way to administrate a server , even if is an local o publicer . Depending of your aplication this is super secure and almost 99 % of the time is restart free. **What do you dislike about WampServer?** Sometimes when you are using a wamp server needs more hardware that you want , and is gonna get expensive to purchase a server with some especifications to run a simple server, in LAMP server base you can use al minor server to work the same . We built and tested a new Wordpress site on a local pc before uploading the package to the internet. WampServer worked flawlessly, I had no errors locally nor on the server after deployment. **What do you dislike about WampServer?** I wasn't very crazy about the interface. I was hoping for something more, something easier to see and understand. While I was able to learn and teach it to my team quickly enough, it just felt a little overly complicated. **Recommendations to others considering WampServer:** It works. It's GUI is easy to use. To start to stop the server i can user the server button stat/stop. When ever i want to use MySQL i can use start button to start the MySQL server. I would like to recommend to my colleagues to use the wamp server, which we can configure the bunch of technologies at the time and we can use when the we want by using the wamp GUI. For example If i want to change the maximum execution of the script , i can change it easily by modifying the config file and then restart the server, then all the new configuration changes will reflect. Before restarting the wamp server, the configuration changes which we update it won;'t reflect. Like that i configured lot's of configuration like fpdf, file upload max size, GD lib and so on. ### 30.
