## Squarespace Reviews
  ### 1. Amazing, user-friendly, sleek websites

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

You can't break it! The sites are beautiful user-friendly, and make it impossible to break the site. You might have to compromise your vision, but then you can't mess it up.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The downside is not being able to customize it exactly how you want, but for your own good.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace is user-friendly so we have more control over our site without having to hire a web developer.

  ### 2. Great website builder

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Holly D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Previously, I had tried to build websites myself. It didn't go well, as I'm not a coder! Squarespace allowed me to create a website that suits my needs almost perfectly. I'm very happy with them!

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I've had a few issues integrating my custom email domain with the domain on Squarespace. That said, I've contacted my domain provided and they have given me instructions to fix this, so I don't think this is the fault of Squarespace exactly.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives me a platform online that I can customise the way I need it to be customised. It brings in leads for my business, allows me to write blogs and share my work. There's a bit of a learning curve with some of the features, but I really appreciate the wealth of information provided on their help page.

  ### 3. Easiest platform to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Audrey G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Is it very easy to understand and use, even if you're not tech savy. The designs are beautiful and it includes all the tools I need for a complete experience: marketing, design, emails, etc.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I need to translate my website and it would have been great if squarespace could have a simple english/french button for my clients to click on. I need to use an extra platform to do that, which is a bummer, but it's honestly the only downside to this.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I need a website to offer my coaching services - and squarespace is by far the easiest, prettiest, and cheapest option for me to use. It answers all my needs for a simple website without all the hassle of trying to figure out the codes and set-ups - it just does it for me!

  ### 4. Squarespace was exactly what we needed as a small press

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alyssa N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

The functionality is so intuitive—so much better than Wordpress which is what we used before. We made the switch because we wanted things to look modernized, streamlined, and we all know that people judge "books by their cover" or "businesses by their website." If you don't have a good looking website, you won't be taken seriously, and now we do, and that's the best part about it.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I would like an easier way to "undo" any major changes that we make to our front-facing site. It's a little nerve-wracking to know that we could accidentally make a mistake and it will be automatically saved and no way to go backwards.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a streamlined way to sell our books. We are a nonprofit poetry press, and selling our books is a good chunk of how we "make" our money to keep going year to year. The orders and shipping area of the site is where we have benefited the most, as it saves us time and energy.

  ### 5. Good proccessor

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ricardo A. | Graphic Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace is very innovative and truly can gelo enhance any business if all of the tools are learned and utilized properly.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The fees on square are kind of high abd the issue I have is when processing bigger orders there are always flags and isses which delays things for me.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its integrated with everything in one place whuch keeps me feon needing multiple programs.

  ### 6. Squarespace is an easy-to-use no-code website creator tool for startups and small businesses

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mate K. | CEO, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I've been using Squarespace for years to develop some of my websites. I've created three websites over the years, and my experience has been primarily positive. It has beautiful design templates with limited customisation options, newsletter, blog, SEO and analytics. It's excellent to create basic, shop-window-style business websites. In higher subscription tiers, eCommerce and payment gateway/account creation are also available. It also allows you to create a free bio site.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

It is somewhat expensive, even the standard business option, and for more advanced features, such as custom code injection, eCommerce tools or account creation, one must pay even more. In the standard subscription tier, the customisation is limited. It tends to run relatively slow when your internet connection is not that fast, and it uses a lot of battery life on a laptop.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a small business owner without technical coding skills, creating no-code websites for new projects from scratch is essential. Squarespace enables me to set up and customise sleek template-based websites within 15-20 hours, including a few pages of content and images, a blog, a newsletter sign-up form, social media links and SEO/analytics.

  ### 7. Perfect for both beginners and experienced web designers!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shawniece E. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace is very user-friendly. I am not a website designer, and I constantly get compliments on my website. There are a ton of templates to choose from, and they are entirely customizable.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I would like it if you could move the scheduling app from one website to another, like how you can do with a domain. I recently created a new website so that I would have access to the 7.1 features. I wish I could move scheduling to my new website instead of creating a new scheduling account or managing it from my old website.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They host domains and build websites. I am a business owner and need a website with a custom domain. Since I have a small business and don't have a ton of funds, I needed to build a website myself that did not look like I made it myself.

  ### 8. A brief but good visit at squarespace

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Geert P. | Freelance Photographer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

The way it is built brings a whole level off ease to creating a website.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

As a website and graphic designer I often need more room to create my own visions. If Squarespace would deliver some more freedom in design it would be the most amazing tool.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace solves building a website with ease and not having to know any css or html. For me it lacks a sort of freedom to make the most out of it. So with graphic design freedom it would be an awesome tool.

  ### 9. No phone support. And their email response is VERY, VERY, SLOW!

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

They promote themselves well and suggest things that a customer should look for.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Very slow and bad in customer support. Not easy to navigate their tools

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None. There is no quick way to reach anyone. Email response is sooo slow and they have no phone support.

  ### 10. Intuitive, all-inclusive solution for small business owners

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Photography | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

It's intuitive and easy to figure out. I like that it includes not only web hosting and simple website development, but also email capabilities. Plus, blog hosting is also easy.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

It has some limitations when it comes to design because the themes limit what you can put where on a page, but for the most part is does what I need it to do and it's failry easy to navigate.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's an all-in-one solution, allow us to host our website, blog posts, and our email list. It's not a robust CRM, but it works for a weekly newsletter email, which is what we send.

  ### 11. A simple website builder for the new business starter

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Quynh V. | Senior Marketing Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

It's super intuitive and is beginner-friendly. That's how it's been marketed as well and when you dive into the platform...you'll notice it looks clean, bubbly and the functionality of it is pretty logical and seamless. I wouldn't say much of it is complex because it's designed for new businesses.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Not many integrations available with some programs and platforms that have been in the market for quite some time. This is an issue if one of our clients has been using a program for a long time...looking to integrate it with their Squarespace website. It causes bottlenecks and the need to look for alternatives, which is a big ask when they've been familiar with a program that's been working for them.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's solving the need for an easy and clean website builder. For any new and upcoming clients that have limited website builder knowledge, Squarespace is what will help them get started.

  ### 12. So Far So Good!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I really like the ease of using Squarespace. I am not a tech person and I was able to build my own professional-looking website, which saved me a lot of money as a new business owner.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I don't like that when you have a form, you are not able to just have a first name. The way the forms are set up are either no name or first and last name. It would be nice to have an option that allows you to collect just the first name.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to have an online presence for my business which is really important to me since I am 100% virtual. It also allows me to link my shop, my blog, my offers, etc.

  ### 13. Perfect for a small business website

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucie B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I had someone else design my sight and then decided sometime later to make changes. I love that I can do that myself. I don't have to hire someone every time I need to make an edit, add a section or replace a photo.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Now that squarespace offers its own email or newsletter service, it blew up and ended the ability to seamlessly do this through my email provider. That's disappointing and more work.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can have a professional looking website that is easy to manage and update and affordable. I don't have to hire someone to make edits or changes when I need them.

  ### 14. Simple, Easy and Effective.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joanna M. | Personal Growth Coach & Energy Leadership Coach, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace is easily integrated with payment options, calendars etc.. I've most enjoyed the ability to build, edit and maintain my website, along with all the available features they have to ffer.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I find that the website design options can be tricky, when inputting your own code for design purposes. There are some aspects of the website building that aren't particularly intuitive either.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

its giving me a calendar, website, and payment processing all in one, this is great for me because everything is in one place under one account. I can track statistics of comings and goings from my website too. Which is AMAZING.

  ### 15. Ok for a No-Code Website Solution

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace is most helpful for people who either don't know how to code or those who may know how to code but don't want to spend the bulk of their time creating a website from scratch. The upside of using Squarespace is you can design a website using templates that can be customized with fonts, colors and other design elements that fit your brand and goals. Using Squarespace also makes publishing content easier without worrying about your website's backend administration, or hosting of your website.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Squarespace does not provide adequate help for issues customers are experiencing, especially longtime customers who are on previous versions of Squarespace. Some of the downsides of using Squarespace are that customer service is often slow to respond to inquiries about technical issues, including downtime for websites hosted on their service. Squarespace has yet to provide any solutions to fix some website features, such as RSS feeds and secure logins, that have stopped working correctly or stopped functioning altogether, even when these features are included in their monthly plans.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace helped me get a website up quickly using their templates and customization features, and Squarespace helped me migrate my content from a previous service.

  ### 16. Very happy with quality for the price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott Z. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Very happy with the learning curve and tools for the price. Pretty happy with add-ons for lists and products. They are continually releasing new tools but doesn't feel like I constantly have to pay more.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Wish I didn't have to show prices for my products. Wish they would expand their API to include image galleries. Couldn't transfer a 7.0 site to 7.1 without recreating. Wish I could print mailing labels without needing to buy postage through them.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making high quality websites cheaper and easier for small businesses like myself. I don't need an expensive industry-specific websites. (Used to have to pay $4000 for a basic template site catered to my industry).

  ### 17. Simple Website Building Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dia B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I love using Squarespace! Creating a website from scratch or based on a template is very easy. It is simple to make any needed changes and embed videos or files on the site.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The only thing I dislike about Squarespace is the difficulty of changing font colors on the website. Once your theme colors are chosen, they make it very hard to change anything without changing colors on the entire website.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used Squarespace to create a personal website and create/make updates to my previous employer's website. I love this platform simply because of how easy it makes my life and my job.

  ### 18. Squarespace good for new small business

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Heather P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

It's very user friendly and has fairly good security

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I wish it was more customizable, and easier to make match my custom branding

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed a website for my small business and Squarespace provides that

  ### 19. Drag and Drop Builder

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danish s. | Professional Freelancer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

The most helpful thing about this is their in-built templates provide various designs.
Another thing is it is very easy to use to build a fresh website.
I like the variety of designs they provide in their templates.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The least helpful thing about Squarespace is it is very complex for beginners because they provide a lot of features which is very difficult to understand for the beginners.
Another thing I dislike is their access to edit the code files. They provide limited access to the files.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Their drag-and-drop feature helps me solve lots of problems to build a new design from scratch within a few hours.
Squarespace helps me build websites in a few hours which is a huge benefit of this builder.
Another benefit is that they provide a variety of template designs that resolve user problems and reduce their efforts to build a new design from scratch.

  ### 20. Squarespace is great for my website and business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charles S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

it is easy to use, effective and has good integration with desktop and mobile devices

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Could have a little more customisation and flexibility

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped me build my own website that clients can find out more about my business and book in courses

  ### 21. Excellent platform for multiple businesses - easy to use and great reach

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam B. | PSR, Law Enforcement, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

The ease of use is the best feature. I am able to create custom websites for all my listings in less than an hour with dedicated content, images, and proper key words. I am ablet to register a custom URL for 20 dollars and SquareSpace does all the seo for me.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The only thing I can say I don't like are sometimes I am unable to find a template to match exactly what I am looking for. I can usually edit the templates they have, but I would like to have more templates to choose from

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I go on a listing presentation as a Realtor, one of the offerings is a website dedicated strictly to their property. I can offer this as I know I can create it easily and for not much money

  ### 22. Easy and User Friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephanie M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I love that squarespace is functional. There are so many customization options.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The web browser freezes sometimes. Also, there should be an auto save option.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None at the moment

  ### 23. I left SquareSpace for Glide but would still recommend

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jesse G. | Board member, founding member of a small 501c3 that does most of their tech stuff., Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace allows users to build (truly) beautiful websites while experiencing a (truly) code free experience. The learning curve is shallow. The product works well. Squarespace is what a template-based website system is supposed to feel like.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

There isn't much I dislike about Squarespace. As a WordPress user, I distinctly feel the limits of Squarespace as compared to the thousands of WordPress plugins. Second, although I feel Squarespace templates are beautiful, there still is a limit, whereas WordPress templates are limitless in terms of look-n-feel. Thirdly the freedom for integration with other apps and systems will not be as robust as other platforms like WordPress.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace solves the problem of wanting a beautiful-looking website without having the money or staff to build something for you. You genuinely could DIY a website with Squarespace and come out looking good on the other end. Second, you don't have to manage the backend. No software upgrades, no server issues, no security problems. It's just you, the content, and your website users.

  ### 24. EFFICIENT WEBSITE BUILDER

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Henry R. | Strategic Growth and Marketing Advisor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace is a website builder that is easy to use and efficient. It has an intuitive interface that makes the process of creating a website simple. Squarespace is an all-in-one platform for designing, developing, hosting and selling your website. It's a perfect solution for those who are looking for an easier way to create their own websites.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Squarespace is a great solution for people who want to create their own website without having any coding skills. It has an intuitive interface and it's easy to use even for beginners. Their templates score low ratings by Google’s Page Speed Tool.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It offers a drag-and-drop builder, so you don't need any coding skills to build a website. The platform helps me to promote my business, it is also very efficient and easy to use.

  ### 25. Easy tools to build your site

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** George B. | Community Member, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Quick start up and easy to use for anyone looking to get their site up and off of the ground.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Tools sometimes are too simple and can use a bit of compexity for those looking to do more than just rich-HTML.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Outreach to clients via a biz site.

  ### 26. Squarespace Intergration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris S. | Director Of Sales, Marketing, And Business Development, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

We can utilize the platform to offer a self scheduling option for our patients. This allows people to have access to a calendar function and can make appointments based on their schedule.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I dislike the fact this function can be used an hour before an appt slot or night before . Sometimes staff may not have access to email at that time and we will have an appointment we weren't ready for.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's allowing us to put functions on the website so patients can schedule their own appointments based upon availability. We do have a higher no show rate with some of these appointments.

  ### 27. Elfsight + Squarespace Integration

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Customization + Simplicity + Innovation of Features

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Poor Customer Service: each experience CS was either rude or not helpful in any way. Often the site would load an old version, even publicly for customers.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simple, low cost, low maintenance branding, commerce, and company site.

  ### 28. Squarespace makes site building a breeze

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jocelyn G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Highly customizable templates provide the bones so you can spend more time on the front end.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Customization limits w/o coding experience.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Selling sites at an affordable cost means making business ownership more accessible, and encourages entrepreneurship (entrepreneur's need websites)

  ### 29. Fantastic designs and easy-to use CMS in a robust all-round website hosting solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashley B. | Associate Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I like the professional templates and that it's possible to manage domains as well as customise any part of a site while being able to very simply set up a solid basic site without much effort. I appreciate the regular improvements and upgrades to the system.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Just that I need more time to fully use all the features to the maximum. Haven't found anything that I dislike.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace saved us a fortune when we first moved our site over. It's far easier to update than our previous site which was hosted on an expensive server. It's easy enough for other team members to use, which means that content owners can manage their content without a huge technical learning curve.

  ### 30. Love Squarespace

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I appreciate the combination of tools available within the website, along with connections to other companies. Not only do I use their website but also their scheduling feature and that automatically connects to Zoom so it's very streamlined.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I wish there were more templates available for the website. They have made it easier to edit them, but some components are still not very flexible. Also, being able to work on a second template to test it out before going live would be super helpful.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace solves the problem of having a website and a scheduling system. It's easy to integrate the two together, it connects to my calendar availability, and works well for group events too. I don't have to worry about reminding clients, setting up Zoom links, or overbooking anymore.

  ### 31. Easy to use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachel H. | Executive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace is designed with the average person in mind. Their platform is so user-friendly and makes it easy to design a website that meets the needs of what a person is trying to do. In addition, the templates are so helpful!

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I wish that there was a way to differentiate between a nonprofit and for-profit user when signing up. The overhead for donations is kind of steep when compared to other ways to receive donations.

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

If you're looking for ease of use, Squarespace is the way to go.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace offers us a way for all staff to go in and utilize the options to customize our website to our needs. It allows for quick and easy changes based on our campaigns, and doesn't overwhelm the system when changing.

  ### 32. My Thoughts on Squarespace Utilization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sairam K. | Senior Data Engineer, Hospitality, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Unlike other website builders, Squarespace offers a mobile app.

It ease web design via HTML5 and drag and drop WYSIWYG editor.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Few bugs which I used to encounter are now a history.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improving search engine optimization of brands across search engines.

Designing websites without coding.

  ### 33. Squarespace - a restrictive jail for devs and designers, a decent solution for non-techies

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Renee T. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace's redeeming factor in my eyes is the competency of their customer support. Professional and efficient. Exemplary customer support model for other businesses, but I cannot say the same about their product.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I dislike many things, here are the two most annoying things of them:

1. The Squarespace builder is overly convoluted - to change a font, you need to go to 3 different menus!
2. The layout customisation is too restrictive - it's customising (a few) pre-made elements. From my experience, you don't actually have options to add any additional layout features (call to action, testimonials, pricing lists etc.)

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Personally, Squarespace does not solve problems for me, but rather creates them. As someone who prefers a more hands-on and involved approach in website creation, Squarespace is problematic because it's not letting you "build" your website, it's more like adding a few "decorations" here and there.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kaela S. | Head of Studio eCommerce Photography, Gallery Sales, Auction Associate, Photography, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Beautiful pre-designed templates that are ready to use. I also love how easy it is to customize the designs and make them your own. The included color pallets and font packages are great for users that need help from a design perspective.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Upgrading the website to Squarespace's latest version required an entire website redesign. I wish there was an option to update and migrate the site to the latest version without starting from scratch. This was very time-consuming. I also wish there was more customization with the drag and drop template designs and allowing more areas to put content. The image gallery is glitchy. Moving images around in the grid preview has a lot of errors. Images will not drag and drop where you put them and Squarespace sometimes doesn't save the new grid.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating beautiful websites for my businesses! Easy to design and change things out. Love the benefits of SEO through my Squarespace websites. Clients can easily find my website on Google due to my SEO work on my website.

The interface is so easy to use as a designer, user, or someone who is just starting out and looking to build out their portfolio or online shop. The extentions are always extremely easy to use

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I think the updates could be more frequent, and the lack of animation customization is a bit hard to work around. But I do believe squarespace will add these in sooner than later.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem squarespace is solving is being able to design a gorgeous website that is unique and brand forward for clients in an easy way as well as hand off assets without the stress of code or potential site breaks.

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Ease of use. Ease of maintenance. No headache of updates & security. Custom code/features fit great with inbuilt features.
Squarespace's inbuilt features usually fulfil needs of most businesses with a need of integrating a third-party plugin, which usually come with its own problems.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Pricing for advanced commerce plan while lacking heaps of features. The abandonment issues – there was no way of updating from Squarespace 7 websites to 7.1 and most of the new features are released for

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Parwinder K. | UI/UX Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

1) It's cheapest in price and easy to start.
2) Squarespace contains a variety of templates that you can choose while creating a website.

4) SEO is very easy. So, no deep SEO knowledge is required.
5) Adding new sections are very easy and they contain lots of options where you can choose what you need to build.
6) Custom CSS option is too good for a platform like Squarespace. With the help of custom CSS, you can modify your website as you want.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Since it is an online website platform so some boundaries definitely will come.
1) Although they have a lot of sections to use but still not enough.
2) If you are looking for a custom website builder then this is not the place you should choose.
3) It would be great if they build an option to add a custom CSS class in every section or column. So, users can control every section as they want.
4) Design option can be improved at some points.

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

Well, I'd recommend it to those who don't have code knowledge and want to build an easy website. But not to those who want to build a custom website.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem I am solving by using Squarespace is when you have less time and your client want an eCommerce store on less budget then Squarespace helps you a lot. It's easy to use and fast to build a website. Adding products is easy an simple process. Well, I am a designer with a little bit of knowledge of SEO so it wouldn't be any more difficult to work here from an SEO perspective.

It allows the non-technical side of my team to make site updates easily. Easy to maintain, suitable for small businesses that don't have the resources for a dedicated dev team.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The "New" ui elements, especially in the eCommerce section that removes features previously accessible. What happens when the old UI is no longer supported? Will those features disappear?

Excessive pay walling of core features. No ability to nest unlisted pages without adding them to the site menu. You cannot have a site.com/documents/document-pages without having them all as pages in the top site menu.
