## Squarespace Reviews
  ### 1. Great for freelancers and small companies with limited web development experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda Z. | Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Great tool for when you want to build a website on your own, but don't know how to code.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Great and easy to use, but SEO capabilities will never beat WordPress. The same thing goes with design customization. That said, it won't be necessary if you're a freelancer or small local company, and don't have long-term goals of ranking number one on Google for a wide array of keywords.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Used it to help a client build a website promoting his career. Easy for both him and I to update without needing to know HTML or CSS coding.

  ### 2. Squarespace Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Whitney M. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I love how user friendly it is and the customer support is top tier. Its not confusing and everything is clean and simple

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

It lags in popular integrations like sms and certain email providers. I didnt like when they took away the blog app

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

More up to date integrations would be nice especially if you are trying to grow your business and paying for emails should not be something we as users have to do. Bundle it in our plans

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It runs my e-commerce business and I enjoy using the apps on the go

  ### 3. User Friendly with Great Customer & Tech Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Judy B. | Occupational Therapist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Able to set up, design, modify, change on the fly, and develop a website that works for you. It is connected with Unsplash for a wide variety of images as well.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

There is some limitation to font availability, and while most all the functions are user-friendly, I have had to contact tech support to figure out why some aspects were not functioning correctly.

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

It is a great choice when looking to set up, plan, and develop your professional or personal website.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have developed a professional website that includes blogs, resource links, marketing, and product advertising in one easily expandable website.

  ### 4. No tech skill necessary. Build quickly using nice predictable templates!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew B. | Part-time Lecturer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

The speed at which I can create a website without involving any complex domain, email, or analytics setups is impressive. I highly recommend this to photographers and people that have highly visual products. I was able to setup a website with beautiful images and content in less than a day (including domain setup).

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

It requires a business plan to get powerful features such as custom code. As a software developer, this is quite restrictive. It would be nice to add custom module such as an event date countdown timer. This case is very essential because the number of plugins and addons are limited. This will be a deal breaker for many power-users and is not fit for purpose if you intend on adding more features other than what a CMS would already feature.

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

Allow for a plan that accommodates the techies among us. It would be nice to add your custom plugins!

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use this for my personal and my wedding website. The development was able to be done quickly using the lovely templates that they provide. I don't have to worry about the look across different form-factors of devices. The benefits were immediately verifiable by having my friends and family verify the website. The development just became more about writing good content and providing relevant supporting pictures. The content development was made even more accessible with the additional free stock image gallery that is a part of the system. Squarespace allows you to focus on what matters, and that is the content and target audience. Bundled with easy-to-understand analytics, you could quickly assess the performance of the website.

  ### 5. Simple, Easy to use, Versatile

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jarcob C. | Freelance, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Pros:
The ease of the web UI that it provides
has thousands of easy-to-add extensions.
The fact that it's one thing to do it all!
how easy it is to add and remove differnt things.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Cons:
sometimes you know how you want it, but it just really doesn't want to look how you want it to
i have had a few crashes as it does use a little bit of ram (random access memory)

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making a professional website and allowing others to edit and adapt what I have made to suit the different art we sell.
We feel that we have sold more phone cases as a result.

  ### 6. Website Building: Expensive but Scalable

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

This product is a service that never gets harder to build as your brand or website gains popularity or users. It handles itself with minimal problems in terms of website hosting and clealry prides itself on easy-to-use building abilities. Most abilities (photo album galleries, article formatting, etc.) are staple and handled sufficiently within Squarespace.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Some features are moderately cumbersome/challenging to do concerning time efficiency. For example, uploading photos at one point in the website's history seemed to compose individual photo uploads and unique photo processing and individual photo placement within a gallery. To upload a folder of photos and display them in some arbitrary order felt like a timesuck.

Another complaint is the price point. As the website manager for the NPO levying Squarespace, the cost wasn't justifiable considering the minimal traffic we gathered year-round. It would've been more pertinent to just host it for free on GitHub.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For websites anticipating a massive acceleration in traffic and desiring minimal web hosting challenges, Squarespace is likely to be the desired website building solution. It prioritizes content visualization and minimal management.

  ### 7. Versatile

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica L. | Digital Accessibility and Marketing Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace is 100% customizable with any website visions, any views for sales, marketing, and other business needs that come out of a website's utility. Its full integration with other services is great as well.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Squarespace could use more integrations with newsletter importations. For example, we collect emails from people who join our Facebook group, and it would be nice to be able to automatically import that into our newsletter email database on squarespace.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're working to build an accessible website as well as producing newsletters that can work to market our events, community, and products we're selling as well.

  ### 8. Love this easy to use solution!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

It's honestly the easiest time I've ever had creating my own website. The drag-and-drop tools make redesigning each page SUPER easy. My site looks like I hired a web designer

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Honestly no complaints! I know that's strange but I'm honestly having a really hard time thinking of any criticisms. Also pretty affordable for all that's included with your subscription

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's the online home for my small business. As a company of one, I'm glad it almost completely eliminates the need for an assistant to schedule client calls, do intake paperwork, etc.

  ### 9. Squarespace Review

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Suzan P. | Business Development Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I like that I've never had any issues or any problems with payment processing through square space. I do know that I will never have to worry about my client's payments having issues, or if I pay for something and see that it has been processed by Squarespace, that I will have a problem. I know that my money is secure.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I think that it's extremely confusing how Squarespace works with so many different 3rd party payment provider companies. Initially, when I looked into using square space as my main payment processing system for my company, it was way too confusing to try to figure out how to get my accounts set up all directly with Square space, and it turned me off, and made me utilize another company because of it.

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

I would just let a person know that I do not like how 'busy' their platform on their website is. As a business owner, I do not think that Squarespace is user-friendly. When using Squarespace as a customer, I have had a great experience. I have not had a good experience with trying to set it up and use it as s a business owner for my business.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When it comes to problem-solving, Square Space is clearly the company that's getting the job done for the 3rd party companies. I'm not sure people realize how much would be taken away from people making online payments, if Square Space wasn't processing payments and working with so many of these 3rd party companies.

  ### 10. Squarespace - Easy to manage website for Individuals and Small Businesses

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Music | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace has commerce availability (the price is slightly higher). The Commerce portion of Squarespace is easy to set up and you can add all sorts of variables (clothing sizes, color,etc.). You can create various page layouts that should suit most people and small businesses that don't want to go through the trouble of learning how to code. Other website services offer similar layouts, but Squarespace has a robust service that rarely has gone off line or had disruptions to its service.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Squarespace offers to create your own domain name when you sign up. If you already have a domain name, Squarespace offers plenty of ways to embed it as your page name (ie: www.mybusiness.com), but it often isn't as easy as the step by step instructions offered through Squarespaces' troubleshooting pages. Be aware of that as its impact on your website's visibility could be a problem.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While social media sites like Facebook, Tic Toc, Instagram and Twitter are popular resources for most bands and musicians, it should not be the primary method of promoting your music. The next popular social media platform might not be the ideal way to promote your music, tour dates and merchandise. Squarespace helps bands have a web presence without the trappings of social media. You can link to the popular social media through Squarespace, but in a format that promotes your art or music exclusively. I have been able to assist a band with over 12 albums in their catalog using Squarespaces' commerce and flexibility to create a place for fans to discover more than the latest music from their favorite band.

  ### 11. It is easy to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emm P. | Director of Product Design, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

The templates make website building easier.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Some of the tools are hard to find because it was on another page.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building the website quickly by using the templates that are available in Squarespace.

  ### 12. Decent at first, and then amazing once you realize all you can do!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucille X. | Freelancer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I've tried truly every single website builder out there, I think. I've had my website on Wix, GoDaddy, even Google Sites. This is definitely the best to get your website looking good right away. The themes are simple, but it looks PROFESSIONAL, no matter what you do, which is a big plus. Then, once you learn about how to customize more (HTML, images, etc), it really gives you a ton of options and uses for the website - plus, you can get fairly creative with options too!

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The site builder is definitely more intensive. It occasionally lags, and it's slightly too easy to accidentally go back a page and lose everything. I really wish there was an autosave, and I wish it was slightly faster in terms of loading time.

HOWEVER - the options are really easy to use and despite the intensive processing power, it lets you do quite a bit, so it's absolutely worth the tradeoff.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are obviously the basics of a website, but there are a ton of really unique uses for the site which I'm a big fan of that save you from having to pay or use another service.

- I don't have to ever send a Google form to a client. You can make a hidden page (and you can even hide the logo and navigation for just that page) and keep the form there. Plus, it can integrate right into Google Sheets (just like a Google form).

- I have a hidden image page for uploading images that I need to link to from other places (like my email signature). I just copy the URL from there and use it wherever else I need it.

- Instead of using something like linktr.ee, I have several link-sharing pages for posting on social media to help direct everyone to my links (plus everything is branded).

- SEO! This one is big. If you google my business name, I'm almost the entire first page of results, with the majority being my squarespace site.

Basically, you can find some ways to keep everything focused around your website, which helps people find more of my content and services!

  ### 13. Squarespace is a great solution for your website!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace makes building and maintaining your website easy. While there are options to add code and customize it further, there's no need to have a development background or to understand web programming languages.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Because I am a web developer, sometimes it's a little difficult to get the look and functionality I'm going for, but that's probably within their business model and can't be something that's complained about.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Very easy and fast to spin up quick one-off sites! It's also opened it up to allow more collaborators and content creators, therefore eliminating the bottleneck of IT.

  ### 14. Square with Rounded Corners

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luke S. | Software Tools Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

My favorite feature of Squarespace is the templates. If you want something that is 90% built out, this is the way to go. You pick your design, input text and a logo, then you're done! It really is that simple. But for those of us who want a bit more control, Squarespace also makes it easy to edit just about every detail of the page; everything from the design to picking your exact HEX colors.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The navigation around Squarespace can be a little clunky. It's not totally obvious where some things are in the admin console, like the color picker for your website. Something else I didn't like was that it didn't alert me on the annual renewal of my site, so my company email went down for a day. Of course, that day was when a client was trying to contact me!

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace provided a simple platform for us to host our site. It helped us with a nice landing page where we can assist our clients and earn new business just by handing out our web address! It's a great tool and digital storefront.

  ### 15. Squarespace rocks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kaitlyn R. | Graphic Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I love the cleanliness of the templates and the variety they offer. Squarespace is so user-friendly you have to wonder why anyone would choose a different hosting platform once you've tried this. I love being able to get my domain through them as well. And now, they've added some basic motion options which take a good sight and make it great with just a few clicks.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Squarespace is missing a lot of font options, there are many, but too often, I can't find the ones that I'm looking for and have to comb through and settle for something similar. I wish the domains were a little bit cheaper. I do wish it were easier to do custom things or have the option to hire someone through Squarespace for small coding projects. I wish they offered coding classes or tutoring, actually.

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

I'd recommend doing the free trial they offer to set up your site, and if you're able, pick a font for your brand from their selection so you aren't totally out of luck in that respect. I also wouldn't be afraid to try out a couple templates, or mix and match. And if you ever see a coupon, jump on it, I saved a lot of money on my second website that way.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to run my businesses through Squarespace. And I'm able to easily help others get their sites started because it was so easy for me.

  ### 16. Beautiful modern templates and easy to get started

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rick M. | Director of Photography, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I was a happy Squarespace fan and customer for many years. The platform is really easy to get a beautiful website up and running without having to know a stitch of coding. The user forums were extremely helpful whenever I lost my way.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Its best feature can also be its setback. It's so easy to use and everyone is using Squarespace. So there's a good chance that your website will look like everyone else's. That may or may not bother you.

Certain features are only available through certain templates. This was a little frustrating since the fonrt

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

I would not hesitate to recommend Squarespace to anyone else that needs a modern website

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was able to have my own online portfolio to share my work with clients

  ### 17. Squarespace is a little difficult to navigate.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I like that you can use it to manage email accounts for a business. Really helps a small business. It keeps everything together in one place and allows access for mutiple users.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I dislike that it seems a little unorganized and not the most user friendly. Some things are really hard to find or navigate through like the menus and options.

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

Definitely look at it before you decide to use it and make sure everything makes sense to you. Everyone is different, and this just did not make sense to me.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As much as I've used it, it seems to serve the purpose well, just could be a little easier to use. I have switched companies and no longer use this software, but I thought it was important to share my opinion.

  ### 18. Great for Intermediate Web Design

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

It has a ton of template options, lots of support/FAQ help, and a million fonts for branding! We use it for our company website and I'm the sole admin/editor. It's easy to use once you understand the tools.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

A few things are annoying: I haven't been able to save my color schemes, so I have to put the colors in individually every time. Also, The Spacer tool can be super finicky and challenging when it doesn't go into the space I want it to. And some of the templates aren't as customizable as others, which you don't know until you get into it.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's great for our website as we are a small business. It has many customizable features, templates for guidance, and it gives us a platform for events, donations, and updates. It's stylish, modern, and loads quickly/saves quickly.

  ### 19. Even beginners can use Squarepace to create professional-looking websites

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kendal L. | Planner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace is very intuitive. It makes it easy for beginners to create websites. It's a very user-friendly website builder that is all-inclusive. There's no fuss with coding; it's simple drag and drop, click to expand menus, ect. You don't have to worry about knowing HTML. For more advanced things, SquareSpace walks you through those processes so you don't need to hire any outside developers to help you. Blogs, e-comerce stores, personal portfolios, organization and business websites, just about anything that could use a URL, can be made with this system.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

When you start setting up, you have a list of popular designs and themes to use as templates. While you can customize to a degree the look of your website, because they want to make it easy fr most folks, the available templates can be quite limited, especially if you're looking for something super customized and unique. (Although if you are, perhaps you are a bit more advanced, so you might not even need Squarespace!

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Their tablet/ mobile feature is incredible. You can see what the site will look like on other devices. Roughly 60% of online browsing is done on mobile these days. I create customer-facing websites, and our target audience is very mobile-forward. Their secondary devices are like an extension of themselves. Knowing exactly what we can expect the site's interface to look like from the get-go is super helpful. I've seen many websites that look great on desktop but don't translate well when you look at it on your phone.

  ### 20. Better than I remembered it from years past.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leah L. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I like the drag and drop. For commerce, printing labels easily and invoicing in great.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I would like to be able to customize sharing media for categories of commerce.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am selling fun products that bring a community together.

  ### 21. One of the best platforms I've ever used for website building.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Ease of use, and the functionality to code if needed. Great templates for beginners and easy to use for pros.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Sometimes, the platform feels like it moves slow - uploading images, drag and drop, etc. could use a little improvement and faster speed.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating beautiful and functional websites for my clients. People that aren't tech savvy can easily use this platform too. It's my most preferred platform to hand off to clients that need websites.

  ### 22. Squarespace makes it easy to look professional

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brett R. | Account Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I like how clean and professional you can make your website look with minimal customization.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Sometimes making changes to image sizing, titles, ect. can be time consuming and difficult.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Squarespace, I can launch a new product and easily sell it quickly while maintaining the entire process. If I want to launch something new or update my website, it will be easy.

  ### 23. Depends on knowledge level

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike Y. | D, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

It is an easy WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) platform for beginner web developers.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

With simplicity comes limitations. If you are a more advanced user and want additional features, controls, stylings, core web vitals, this might not be for you.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace was an easy solution to mitigate the need for additional resource hours for a web developer. Squarespace was a bandaid for an immediate need. It does come recommended; know you will outgrow your environment as you develop as a webmaster.

  ### 24. Very good for Personal use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dhawal J. | Architectural assistant , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

The flexibility to allow various commands to custom make your web interface

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The UI is not very intuitive. It takes a while to get used to the platform

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I made a personal website to show it to recruiters. It really works well for smaller uses as compared to making a company website or such

  ### 25. Simple website creation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I like how simple it is to make a beautiful website. The layouts, blocks, and more make everything look good, and it's so easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

You can't completely customize things. It does make it easier that that isn't an option, but sometimes it would be nice to be able to override that and have more options.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Website creation, search engine optimization, and optimizing metadata for our website.

  ### 26. Great platform for easy, beautiful websites

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Furniture | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace works differently from WordPress, etc., in that it has easy-to-fill sections that can be added, customized, and removed.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Squarespace is expensive; no way around it. The student/faculty discount helped.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Squarespace for our professional business page.

  ### 27. Easy to use for non-coders along with great integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Honestly, just how easy it is to edit things once you've created the foundation for your website. Everything is relatively easy to update, and anyone who can make a powerpoint deck should be able to use Squarespace.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The speed of the site loading whenever you're editing your website. Things just feel slower and laggier than it should, and it can be a drag. If everything could be snappier, then it would be a win.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a bare minimum main marketing website for the company. But over time, we've been able to create additional pages, and it's become a bit more robust than initially anticipated due to the various integrations, such as Google Sheets (for easy forms) and scheduling (for classes that we offer)>

  ### 28. Easy to learn and customize your websites

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shauna B. | A, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I'm rating Squarespace a "10" because they are continuously rolling out new features for 7.1.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Sometimes Squarespace is buggy and you have to start your edits over if you do not save frequently.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have 2 Squarespace websites that I have built for my organization. It is pretty easy to learn how to use out of the box.

  ### 29. Great Upgrade!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

We liked being able to manipulate and create the web pages on our end without having to hire a custom coder. This feature was super helpful for quick changes in copy, content, or holiday season!

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Squarespace wouldn't support integration with many apps we needed to add to our store for our business to run smoothly. The embed code widget did not correctly showcase our media.

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

Squarespace is a great eCommerce platform for small businesses or businesses just starting on eCommerce. However, you may need to upgrade to a more robust platform as your business grows.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Squarespace, we can sell our product direct to consumers, as well as in chain stores.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I liked how they gave an array of different templates, but they can all be customized to best fit whatever site you're looking to have. I like that Squarespace has capabilities to intergate with several other systems.

I also really like how easy it is to host and claim a domain!

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I wish there were more options for templates for photography hosting, something that gave a little more dynamic interest.

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

Just get started! and don't be afraid to take some to find your perfect template. Hint: your perfect template may not be in the category you think.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have solved the problem of getting my photography work in front of potential clients. I have also realized how easy it is to refresh content when nescessay.

  ### 31. Good, but not perfect, platform for building a site as a novice.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lydia H. | Advisor, Legislative-Executive Integration, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

The templates are aesthetically beautiful

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

It's not always particularly intuitive..

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was able to build a website from the ground up for my growing business, and they made it easy. However, I had issues with the original template, and the new one I picked isn't quite as easy to use. So that's been a challenge. But overall, I feel like I'm putting a good face on my personal brand.

  ### 32. We've switched all of our clients to Squarespace!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kasey C. | Digital Marketing Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Easy to use and understand! Once we build websites for our clients, they are able to easily go in and make updates without our help.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

There are design limitations and "paywalls" up for certain features

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Squarespace to help our local business clients become discoverable to their local market. Usually their websites are the cleanest and most user-friendly in the area, making it easy to beat their competition!

  ### 33. An easy-to-use platform with a ton of customization available for those who know code

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Avni L. | Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Powerful, secure, easy to use, and the ability to customize with CSS + JS is awesome

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Really needs a versioning feature so you can easily save or restore previous versions of the site

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm a designer on Squarespace and I'm able to help many businesses market their services and products

  ### 34. Great for start up businesses

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Covania W. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

When I started my business in 2017 I liked instantly that it was user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

Great if you need a website for your business

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to connect with my customers and they can easily view my products

  ### 35. Wonderful alternative to WordPress

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chuck F. | Knowlege Management Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

It's a simple and easy to use system. Type and go. It really does take the guesswork out of web design.
I was able to create three sites for various non-profits. The support that they give is quick and comprensive.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The cost, it is expensive. I wish they had a non-profit option. You can't do exactly what you want, but there are HTML options to get around these.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It takes the coding out of web design, and lets you focus on text and images and design. It has turned me into a web designer, without being a coder. You can get a website up in 10 minutes.

  ### 36. Squarespace is an excellent website platform for anyone.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

It's easy to learn, the customization possibilities are endless with CSS, and the e-commerce features are smooth.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

If you use only a template without customizations, it can look too similar to everyone else's website and not stand out.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've been able to easily build and manage multiple websites. I can easily post blogs, add sales pages, receive inquiries, and have a home for my business online.

  ### 37. Solid Web Host and Such

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shayna C. | Content Writer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I like how simple everything is, but you can still add your own flavor here and there were need be.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The theme, though they're great, they feel too static to me. It feels like a copy/paste template from other places. Though you can create and change to match your personal businesses-it still feels like it isn't your own. Plus the desktop-to-mobile transition isn't the best; I had to cut major pieces of my site to better accomedate the mobile version.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Website creation, SEO tracking, shop setup

  ### 38. Great for working quickly.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremy R. | Marketing and Digital Media Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I love SquareSpace's interface. I chose SquareSpace because I was able to construct my website in about half the time that I could with other platforms I had previously interacted with.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The cost is a little steep, but at the same time definitely worth it. I'd highly recommend.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Designing, managing, and all other interacting with my website.

  ### 39. Good site for making a web site.

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace is easy to use and intuitive to work with

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Lacking a good multi language approach from out of box. but there are 3:rd party add ons for this such as Weglot for example.

Simplicity in creating a professional website, with very little knowledge or time spent. When it's not your core business, you just need something simple and quick to administrate.

  ### 41. The best

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

it's so easy to use, people without and without web experience can navigate it. but despite its simplicity you can design sites that look really impressive.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

there are some features that are harder to customize. certain visual formatting things.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The company owns and operates multiple sites that are all tied to the same square space account. teach site has worked well for the needs of the company.

  ### 42. Get up and running quickly, but with limits

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I like that there are great templates - drop some words in, add some high quality pictures, you can make a decent website quickly. It won't be jaw dropping, but it'll get the job done. I also really appreciate their simple pricing - makes choosing the right plan easy for people I've worked with.

I also like that it's all in one - you can get your domain, hosting, all of it in one place, rather than having it all spread across different services.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I have never liked the interface - too much is only discoverable by hover and if someone hadn't shown me how to use it, I would have gotten very frustrated on my own, and even then, it still frustrates me. I tend to recommend other CMS's to folks unless they're intent on using Squarespace.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Generally trying to get a small business or a small project a website. As I mentioned above, the 'all-in-one'-ness of Squarespace is a huge benefit. I think you end up paying a little bit more, but it's worth it to not have these types of services spread out.

  ### 44. Good forum for practical exam

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jillian N. | Associate, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

It's quite easy to start square room. There are several templates and you can start designing your site right away. It is simple to use so that methods can be quickly navigated and used without excessive instructions. I find models and layout clean and competent as someone with no substantial design experience. Page models can be completed and navigated very easily

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I suggested Squarespace to 2 customers and then went through it. Had both reached me for support and I was surprised at how challenging the platform was. I also found that the choice of template and for self-employed was minimal. And it's difficult to switch when they step it into model. Some layout is also not easy to just use.

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

Before entering quite enough detail, focus on finding the doctors know for your web. There's many beautiful girls to choose from, but look for the website and form opinions about how it will be viewed.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I need to give my company a more comprehensive image and connect it to the websites has resolved the question of how to show what I do and. I will make immediate improvements to the website. I don't want to recruit anyone, or ask for somebody to move on my team.

  ### 45. Lacks Functionality

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace was great to get a website started, and it has a lot of options on fonts and styles, but the building blocks for it are rather pedantic and a little difficult.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

When I started my website, Squarespace had templates that you could use, and then switch them out when you like. IN the new version, they have a style editor, and it really has limited functionality and makes the websites look so elementary. What was touted to be an easy website builder, really requires coding skills in order for it to make sense?

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used Squarespace as the mode and medium for my website and e-commerce sellng. It was okay, but because of its lack of integrations, I found I could not sell and do the things I want it to do with facebook and Instagram to name as an example

  ### 46. Super Easy Website Design

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Intuitive templates make it easy to add all sorts of functionality

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Occassionally have to re-do something but I think that is user error as I become more familiar with the software

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

We paid a fortune to have someone design a static website. Squarespace is much more cost effective and dynamic. We can make changes whenever we need.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making our website dynamic. We link our social feeds so there is always new information on the site

  ### 47. Overall great experience with squarespace

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

This platform is very easy to use, especially for beginners looking to create their website.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Going back and forth to preview your edits on the site can be annoying.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The number of templates they offer makes it easy to come up with new ideas to display your creative work.

  ### 48. Easy to use and like that it is connected for payment.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I like the user-friendliness of it. Has made it easy to set up and have someone who is not as tech savvy update things if needed.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I dont love that there isnt an option for invoicing. There is a store but wish there was an invoicing option where people can sign in and pay.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Used to create a couple website for clients. It has made an easy transition for them being able to take over their website.

  ### 49. Easy to use with customization ability

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

It's really easy to learn and pretty easy to use, especially when it comes to customizations. It's also pretty bare bones and simple if you need it to be.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

It can be really glitchy while editing content, whether that's the written content or the actual layout. Some of the layout changes are also not the easiest and it can take some time to move one simple thing.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's definitely a much better solution than our previous website. A big thing is we have the capability to change things on the back end, like navigation, etc, which we didn't before. It's really easy to change at the drop of a hat if we need to.

  ### 50. Easy Website Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer J. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

The thing I like best with Squarespace is how easy it is to use!

It doesn't have all the gadgets and gizmos that Wordpress has.
