## Squarespace Reviews
 ### 1. SquareSpace allows our content to shine

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lisa M. T. | Marketing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

SquareSpace is an easy to build website with so many formatting options that anyone can make a professional website. I currently run two robust websites with SquareSpace—one for my association's conference that I update each year and another website for an international awareness day. I love their analytics, easy to use and capture the information I need.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

While Squarespace is very flexible in its layout and branding options, there are a few small tweaks I wish I could make, like having different colors for buttons or highlighted text on pages. It's a small inconveience, as the flexibility of the website far outweighs that request.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace allows us to build dynamic websites that look fabulous! We've been using Squarespace for years so our templates are set and we update each year. I love that our speakers and exhibitors from past years can remain in the back end and we can turn them on and off each year with just one click. We have a very rich repository of content on the backend that saves us time when we launched our updated websites each year.

 ### 2. Great for personal website

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brennan K. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

The ease of use and embedding of JavaScript! It was easy to learn the platform and to work with the custom code integration.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The platform was expensive compared to others.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to approach web customizing.

 ### 3. Amazing tool and Resourse

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryann W. | Interactive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I love that it is a easy tool to implement for clients and builders and present a great site for visitors.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Not as many animation options are available.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It takes complex website building and turns it into an enjoyable and easy process.

 ### 4. Creating a Beautiful and Functional Blog

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jerry M. | Digital marketing Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Scalability while the website are highly scalable, making it easy for users to grow their online presence as their business or organisation expends

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

At times rarely releases updates and new features, leaving users without access to the latest and greatest tools and technologies

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides an all in one platform for building and managing websites, it makes easy for anyone to create a professional looking website regardless of their technical expertise

 ### 5. Great for Beginners, but Limited for Advanced Users

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kiragu M. | Full Stack Web Development intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace has an intuitive design that instantly gladdens a new user. Their templates cover a wide scope and therefore is most applicable for anyone with a need for a quick landing page.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The lack of customization for chosen templates. There's an option to input script inside the head tags but this isn't enough for a developer with advanced needs.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Website Creation: My work involves creation of apps for mobile and web platforms. In most instances, a client has a low budget and wants the website fast. These two scenarios necessitate my use of squarespace for applications that are simple.
Design Templates: Squarespace saves me the hustle of doing figma designs as their templates are top-notch and fit most of my clients' needs.

 ### 6. User Friendly Website Design!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josephine A. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Its very easy to use especially if you haven't built a website before

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I am learning how to integrate an external newsletter and emailing list and its not as seemless.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides a beautiful website for my practice that can be easily used by clients

 ### 7. Squarespace is a great option for nonprofits

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael K. | Director of Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

As a nonprofit, cost is important, and Squarespace is reasonably priced, even for higher level packages. It is easy to learn how to make edits, there are great templates to start with, and it can look sleek with desktop and mobile.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Robust webpages can take a while to load compared to other website designers. Some design integration requires knowledge of CSS coding.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace allowed us to simplify our website while looking sharp and helps accomplish our most important tasks. We utilize form assembly for recruitment, the calendar to share upcoming events with partners, and integrate Raisers Edge for donations.

 ### 8. The site is buggy and customer support not helpful.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dawid P. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

The ease of setting everything up. The web creator is quite handy as well.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

It's buggy, and customer support is not helpful. In their terms of service, they also have no warranties or guarantees for their services. What in practice means that whenever their error severely affects your company you can't do anything about it :)

While migrating domains from google domains they have an error that blocks users from using their domains as well as google workspaces(emails). The error has been ongoing for a few weeks already, it only appears when you have to renew the domain for the next year. For a few weeks, some people cannot access their domain and emails. What is worse the user cannot even transfer the domain to other hosting platforms due to their error. When I contacted customer support they were pretending as it was a new issue. Only after 3rd conversation, I found out about the scale of the problem. They could have warned me about the problem cause they had known about it for the last few weeks(saw people complaining on it for 6-7 weeks already) so I could prepare, migrate my stuff, contact my clients etc. Instead, they thought that it is a great idea to hide it. Now my company is left with no website and no email and it looks like we are close which seriously affects our credibility and I am their hostage as due to error I cannot transfer my domain somewhere else. Can't even demand any money as compensation due to their terms of service.

I decided to create another page on the website as everything is already set up in webpage creator and I needed to do it quickly. I already regret it. When I created a Google Workspace for the new domain I was unable to add any users. I was getting a "cannot process payment" error multiple times even though my money was charged. So far the problem has not been resolved.

If would recommend not using Squarespace services. Try to use a different provider if possible. Shame that I was made to migrate my stuff here when they bought Google domains.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They provide hosting to my website as well are resellers of Google Workspace for my company.

 ### 9. Beautiful designed websites

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace creates beautifully designed websites with their templates. It’s easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Limited features and not a lot of flexibility beyond their templates

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy templates website

 ### 10. Technology is poor the customer service is non existent.

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan R. | Feed Category Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

They used to have a pretty good basic web site builder but they screwed it up and companies like Shopify just caught up and blew past them

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Really poor code I mean things rarely work especially when they aquire another company and merge the accounts. This happened to me first when they acquired Weebly and more recently when they acquired Google domains It is an absolute dumpster fire and there is no automated way to fix the issues in their customer service is woefully inadequate so it takes many months to get anything resolved This is unacceptable when you're trying to run a business and you need to access your domain!

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's not solving any problems it's creating problems both Weebly and Google domains for good products and when squarespace acquired them they turned into garbage. I never wanted to work with squarespace I was forced to by both of these mergers.

 ### 11. Fantastic builder for simple sites

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Easy of use and set up, lots of great features and design

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

We needed more complex features that they didn't support so we outgrew

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Putting up a basic but good looking website

 ### 12. Highly Recommend Squarespace To Design Modern Website

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Walid H. | Squarespace Website Design & SEO Agancy, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I like best about Squarespace is its user-friendly interface combined with powerful design flexibility. It offers beautifully crafted templates, seamless integrations, and built-in SEO tools that make website creation both intuitive and efficient. The platform empowers users to build professional sites without needing extensive coding knowledge, perfect for any business.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Squarespace lacks advanced customization options and can be limiting for developers who need more control over design elements.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace simplifies website creation by providing intuitive design tools, integrated SEO, and hosting, saving time and reducing technical challenges.

 ### 13. Ease of use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I loved how Squarespace is customisable and I could easily design my website with no previous experience or coding background. There are plenty of guides to help you along the way to create a desired end product

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

It's tricky to adjust margins and you need to play around with the code

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integrating my booking calendar and marketing tool (Mailchimp) into SquareSpace to achieve a one stop solution

 ### 14. Squarespace Is A Scam

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edwin K. | Debt Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

The upside is that you can register a domain and build a website.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Dislike is an understatement. Hate, despise, and detest are better words. I hate that I bought my domain from Google Domains and then was forced to accept the takeover by Squarespace. I despise Squarespace for not having an easy customer service contact process. I have been trying to speak to someone from Squarespace for 3 days now with NO response. I already paid my annual domain subscription for this year and my next payment is supposed to be due in May 2025. However, Squarespace billed me twice in the space of 3 months without explanation or warning. That is a scam.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The only problem Squarespace is solving is being the unwanted registrar of my Google Domain.

 ### 15. A Robust Platform That's Difficult to Design

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica M. | Freelance Graphic Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

There are so many capabilities Squarespace has in-house—most notably, mailing lists and monetization. It's easy to post content, and there's a lot you can do with no knowledge of coding.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The design is completely in-flexible if you need to change, say a title to a different spot or creating columned sections of text/images. The user interface is buggy when you want to change margins on the page or rearrange objects. It takes so long just to move one paragraph above a paragraph and add spaces for margins, it's completely unreasonably buggy—the paragraphs flip away from the cursor and refuse to be positioned in spot. And while the interface for a regular website is easy to add content in, if you make any changes to the spacing, then the responsive is also difficult to work with.

I redesigned the entire website in Wordpress, and it was like a breath of fresh air, because I didn't have to fight with the interface to get it to do what I wanted. I understand that Squarespace is designed for people who don't have an understanding of website development, and I do. Even so, if the responsive were more intuitive and the margins and columns were easier to work with, this would be my program! Because the rest of it is really incredible.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I tried Squarespace as a website builder because I had worked with Wordpress and wondered if Squarespace would be an easier quicker option for me.

 ### 16. DNS propagation takes at least 3 day like we're back in 1999 and support is literary non-existent.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Literary nothing, all their services are subpar garbage masked in beautiful branding

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

DNS Propagation takes forever, at least 3 days where with EVERY other domain registrar nowadays they're almost instantanious. Squarespace is the only company left back in 1999.

Their support is non-existent, unable to reach them, BUT if you hit up sales they immediately jump on the chat to sell you on stuff

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They solve literary nothing they have a rudimentary propriatery SaaS website builder with couple of decently designed pre-made templates. About as useless as a rock.

 ### 17. The Best Tool for Website Building

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I appreciate the customization Squarespace offers. Between adding blocks and the CSS editor the possibilites are endless.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Personally, I prefer the classic editor over the fluid engine. I find the fluid engine overlaps elements.

I do also find that Squarespace does not have built in solutions for things like uploading files to forms or adding table blocks.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace allows me as a UX designer to have an online presence without relying on our developers.

 ### 18. Great tool to go from 0-1, from landing page, to going live

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrian N. | Company Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace's ease of use allows any one to set up great sites.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Squarespace lacks some features for fast growing startups.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace has allowed us to set up a site without knowing how to code.

 ### 19. Website Looks Great

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathaniel E. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

- Aspects of the editing process behind the scenes are easy.
- The analytics breakdown of website's traffic is detailed and easy to understand.
- Easy to hire someone to work on the website since most people are familiar with Squarespace.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

- Aspects of it are hard for the common person to work on. Some things I've had to hire others for.
- Some parts of editing the pages are difficult.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a website builder most people were familiar with that would produce a professional looking website. Squarespace did that! Our site looks great and tracking the analytics is easy.

 ### 20. Easy to use website builder for small and medium businesses

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sasneh R. | Board Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Easy to use
Affordable
Premium templates
SEO Friendliness

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Lack of functionalities
Less number of Plugins

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Drag and drop website builder helps small and medium businesses to create professional lloking websites. We created multiple websites using Squarespace without help from an external developer.

 ### 21. The best drag and drop website builder I ever used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dina K. | Marketing Officer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

The interface is so straightforward that the learning curve is pretty short — it took me maybe 5 minutes to feel fluent. As a UX/UI designer, it is extremely important for me to be able to fine-tune my designs to pixel perfection, including spacing, exact colors, fonts, sizes, and weights. Squarespace is almost perfect in this sense, which is not the case with the majority of other drag-and-drop website constructors.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The things I was missing were small and did not influence the overall experience. Thinking from the perspective of 'What can be better,' I would be glad to be able to use shortcuts common to different design software. Additionally, creating reusable components would be beneficial. While the header and footer were reusable, for example, the contact form that needed to be the same on each page had to be edited manually, page by page.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace simplifies website design, making it easy for me to create visually appealing sites with precision. Its user-friendly interface reduces learning time, while drag-and-drop functionality speeds up the design process. With Squarespace, I can quickly customize every aspect of my site, saving me time and ensuring high-quality results. Using it for my clients' websites allows me to provide them with a fast, functional, and visually appealing website in no time.

 ### 22. amazing service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Avinash B. | Senior Technology Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

ease of domain hosting is simply amazing

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

there are no features i do not like about squarespace

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

website development and maintenance by having a simple and effective interface is the key feature of the solution from squarespace

 ### 23. Squarespace has all the tools for running a succesful business website

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriel R. | Photographer and Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

The best part of Squarespace is the ease in laying out the building blocks for putting together an efficient, complex, and sophisticated looking website. Learning the software to use the tools takes a bit if time and practice, but once that is done, the creativity part takes over mostly. I've been using it for three years now and I always look forward to using it.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Setting up a hosted domain name and/or sswitching from another website has proven to be challenging. Sometimes the instructions given by Squarespace for transferring domain names were different than the actual step needed.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace is an all-in-one place for webhosting, seo, domain hosting, marketing, online-selling, business transactions, email marketing and newsletters, photo gallery friendly, and social media linking, to name a few. I use it to run a small business for a local restaurant. I also happen to be an their in-house photographer, so Squarespace is great for uploading food and drink photos and creating nice looking galleries alongside the info for running a business in the food industry.

 ### 24. Use it for all of my websites

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meredith C. | Director/Editor/Producer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I love that you can achieve a really nice aesthetic with ease - and lots of templates to do so. The customer service has also been wonderful anytime I've needed it.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Sometimes special effects are limited and I've found it's not as searchable as other platforms.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting a great aesthetic for my creative company (video production). I wanted a header that displayed our video and this does it beautifully!

 ### 25. Find Your Own Space in SquareSpace

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danny F. | Owner/Music Industry & Marketing Consultant, Music, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

The variety of templates and how easy it is to customize and add your own touch to make the website your own. Great for beginner web-designers or someone looking to set up their own webpage but has no webdesign experience.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Being limited within the 'sqaurespace bubble'. They provide great looking templates that are easy to customize, but if you want to step out of the realms which that template provides it can be challenging.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adapting to different devices and easy intergration with other tools and websites.

 ### 26. Easy to use, super professional!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dante R. | Public Relations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I have multiple websites via Squarespace. I don't know how to code, but Squarespace makes it super easy to create webpages using their templates as a starting ground. I can then add sections by dropping in fields, allowing me to personalize the site per my needs.

I use Squarespace for an e-commerce shop, esalit intergratting with Printify, as well as for a non-profit where we collect donations via PayPal and Stripe, both compatable with Squarespace.

Whenever I have an issue, I am able to contact support and they always get back to me within 24 hours addressing my issues.

The sites look modern, clean, and are easy to use; highly recommend!

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I only have two issues with Squarespace, although they do not prevent me from using the platform:

There is no way for users to save forms if they want to step away and come back later to complete. So users need to complete forms in one sitting without saving.

Another downside is that once you make a change to a webpage, you have to publish it immediately, you can't save the revisions as a proof and come back later to make the page live.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can easily create professional websites for my e-commerce shop with integrations to my print on-demand account as well as a wesbite to collect donations for my non-profit. As someone who does not know coding, I am able to create beautiful, user-friendly websites with the click of a button.

 ### 27. Easy and difficult

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

It's easy to use and onboard new users. The ability to customize restrictions for users is fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Connecting other services to it is rather difficult. No recurring payment options caused us to look outside of Squarespace for a solution.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps us create a professional looking website with ease.

 ### 28. Perfect for my small business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Molly H. | BANT Registered Nutritional Therapist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I can do it myself
Easy updates
Easy integration
Templates

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Sometimes glitchy depending on the internet connection
Some restrictions with design
It does take time to learn/understand how to fully optimise using it, eg. SEO title headings etc.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed a simple website to hold my information which I could gradually build on as my business grows
Squarespace allowed me to start with a landing page and build additonal pages as I grew
It also allows me to keep costs low and implement myself without big costs to a website company

 ### 29. Non existing customer support

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Evrim A. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

nothing at all, the website building is a disaster and you cannot do anything similar to WordPress

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Bad system
Bad website building
awful customer support

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is not solving anything, that is why I am moving away as quick as Ican

 ### 30. Still great after using it for most of my web projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Super easy to use, and responsive. I've been using Squarespace for most of my web projects over the past 10 years, and they've innovated quite a bit over time.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Wish there was more layouts and button options to customize the look and feel.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abigail S. | Leasing and Marketing Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

It is so user friendly. I don't have a backgroud in HTML or website design, so having something I can use was crucial. I love all the options and features, as well as the things that can integrate into it. We use it daily and the support staff has provided wonderful service as well. It was easy to build and implement into our new site.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I don't have any cons at this time! We love it.

Not having a background in HTML coding, it was such a breeze to create and maintain, and edit, our new site!

 ### 33. Amazing tool for a novice website builder

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gavin B. | Demand Generation Specialist, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

With very little experience at the time building a website SS was a godsend once I became proficient with the basics designing the site and tailoring it to my liking was easy and became a fun experience using the various tools and experimenting with site. I built several sites for my friends businesses which they still use today and after some guidance they became quite good at adjusting the site themselves without my input.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Not much I found the site incredibly user friendly and for a beginner it was a great experience. Perhaps a few tutorial videos for the basics would have helped me in the beginning but I still found my way regardless.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Removes the need for coding knowledge yet still allows for this for the more experienced site builders as well as only requiring simple coding for small adjustments. I was able to find and input specific features as the site allows for adjustments if you have the knowledge and if not it has built-in tools to help with this albeit with the extra cost.

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I love that Squarespace gives non webdesigners the capability to design a beautiful website without any type of coding required. It's truly a tool I recommend to new business owners who may just need a site set up with all the capabilities of a professionally coded site.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The pricing of it has never been friendly to me. I believe that the pricing of Squarespace is fair and a great starter, but it's heavy for new entrepeneurs when they first start.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace is allowing me to design beautiful and functional websites for clients and pass off a website that they can feel confident editing because it's an easy to use and learn platform.

 ### 39. Terrible customer support with no way to contact a human!

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

It sdoes the job and provides easy way to implement and maintain more interactive website capabilities.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Absolutely terrible customer support and service. There is NO WAY to reach a human. No phone support. Online chatbot does not have humans, only generate email support request. Email support response time is not at almost three weeks and counting with no contact. I've submitted four email support requests in three weeks with NO response on any of them. The problem is with payment processing on their end that I have no means to resolve and as a result my subscription has lapsed and they've suspended our companies website. This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE practice. I will be switching to another provider.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automates some more complex interctive and maintenance heavy aspects of website (blogs, forms, analytics, marketing integration, etc.)

 ### 40. Clean looking and Easy to Use

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace has lots of templates that you can easily use to get a beautiful website up in less than one week.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Because Squarespace is meant for non-coders, it does not allow much customization outside of their templates.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace enables everyone to create a website even if they have zero knowledge of code. While our agency has a web developer that we use, they are expensive and some of our clients just want a simple, static brochure site that really doesn't warrant the cost of a developer. Squarespace saves us a lot of money and also makes it possible for our clients to make simple changes to their site after we complete it.

 ### 44. Squarespace

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juanita W. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

- Very easy to use without coding knowledge
- Well designed layouts available for free
- Loading time is fast for websites and generally the website runs smoothly

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

- The free layouts do have some restrictions when it comes to mobile view
- Slighlty on the expensive side
- Some limitations with respect to SEO and tags

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use website to build and host my design portfolio. What I love is that I was able to design and make my website live in under 14 days, and it has been running smoothly since then.

 ### 46. It is very user friendly and does all the basic functions, but is lacking in detailed-customization.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cameron B. | Freelance Graphic Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2023

I do not like the limitations of squarespace.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace is giving me a platform to build a portfolio which has saved me a lot of time.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2024

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Domain, workspace, marketing tools and website in the same place.

 ### 48. Very happy with my website and how easy it was to edit

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I love that it's so easy for me to control and make changes so I'm not constantly paying someone to make updates. It was easy to get a domain and get the whole process started. My site looks incredibly professional and not at all "templated"

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

It would have taken a long time for a layperson like myself to create the website from scratch. It all depends on your skill set but there weren't a lot of templates that would have easily worked for a copywriter. Most portfolio sites were for image based portfolios, not copy based.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy way place for a small business owner to create and host a website

 ### 49. SquareSpace limits the use of web blogs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David Antonio O. | Senior Director Marketing Strategy, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

We like the diversity of models SquareSpace offers. They have a habit of being contemporary and simple, and are highly individualizable. It is significant that the representations are highlighted, and SquareSpace's elemental figures make this possible. Every couple of months we update our blog's main Gallery, a collection of photographs that showcase a particularity. After choosing a grouping of pictures from my anthology, SquareSpace supports the configuration of the gallery room, transfers the pictures to observe the way they would look as a whole, and furthermore transfers the authorship symbol so that it doesn't rely on a fundamental part. We then examined the visual representation before issuing the release.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I require the images I am going to display to be in the center and in front of each chapter of my website. The display sheets are excellent with respect to this, however not so with my journal. This is where I believe SquareSpace can make progress. It is only possible to display a limited representation through circularity.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The fundamental goal we have on the website is to exhibit a limited portion of the work I do. In this perspective, SquareSpace has been ideal for the goals we have, as it offers a noticeable presence and allows editors to contact us directly about photo requests. The convenience of updating the website features, and in particular the highlighted Gallery, has been one of the most important reasons we settled on SquareSpace for almost 3 years.

 ### 50. Amazing, user-friendly, sleek websites

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

You can't break it! The sites are beautiful user-friendly, and make it impossible to break the site. You might have to compromise your vision, but then you can't mess it up.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The downside is not being able to customize it exactly how you want, but for your own good.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace is user-friendly so we have more control over our site without having to hire a web developer.
