What do you like best about SqlDBM?

Its a very light, easy to learn and easy to use tool. Its an elegant low cost modelling solution that works for solution and organization of all scales. SQLDBM support is simply awesome, in terms of timeliness and responsiveness. SQLDBM get easily integrated with GIT, DBT and any tool that can ingest REST API output. What do you like best about SqlDBM?

SqlDBM becomes straightforward to use once you get accustomed to it, and it has addressed what used to be our biggest challenge: data modeling with business before development. When our team was searching for a solution to this issue, we discovered that SqlDBM was the only tool on the market that truly fit our needs. The product team is approachable and responds quickly to requests for changes or bug fixes, making the overall experience even better.

What do you dislike about SqlDBM?

Its sometimes slow when you have alot of data and many layers in your dataplatform.

However, they have now implemented a solution for this

Its quite expensive for the few amount of modellers you get, but you can switch those around.

What problems is SqlDBM solving and how is that benefiting you?

SqlDBM is helping us solve how our dataplatform-team are working with the business to understand their use and needs of data.

We are using SqlDBM (instead of Excel, which was used before) to detail how our datamodels should be, with the business-side as we start working with them.

This let us use a GUI to detail and show connections and flags, before we develop in Databricks.

Then we can use schema-enforcement in Databricks to utilize how our models should be, and ensure these models are exactly correct between SqlDBM and Databricks.

We end up with a detailed overview of our dataproducts in the platform, as everything is detailed as we go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
