Splunk observability cloud often referred as O11y, is a good product in terms of metrics observability and the part that I really liked about it is the integration with Splunk Cloud for logging needs so all in all, each and every key performance indicators about the application metrics-logs are visible under single plane. SOC provides metrics like trace & log in real time. I like the waterfall model of service traces where i can see the service dependencies clearly and figure out which service is having the issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

In current orgnization sampling of traces is main problems for us.

The main feature I have used is the splunk on-call. Compared to others like pagerduty it provides a better dashboard and on-call scheduling cycles which seems to be nonexistent in pagerduty. And the feature of calling the next person in the oncall cycle helps attend the production issues. One other important feature is that it provides reports with many filters, which makes it easier to analyse at the end of weekly oncall cycles. It could have a feature like setting up schedules for time range such as a person can be oncall for the day time and someone else for the night shift which I think currently is unavailable.
