It’s the same SpinFire technology automotive manufacturers have trusted for more than 15 years, now available in a revolutionary all-access format. Until now, CAD viewers have been a means to provide non-core engineering workers with cost-effective access to CAD files—as opposed to purchasing expensive CAD licenses and working with multiple CAD formats. However, the entire enterprise can benefit if other teams can interact with CAD models, too. Actify pioneered the CAD viewer category with the SpinFire product family. They know what I need to see when I am looking at 3D CAD data. Exploding assemblies, PMI annotations, Attributes such as material type and specifications, thickness of metal parts, and a good look at the eBOM of any assembly. The optional Converter utility gives us the ability to convert native CAD formats to neutral files such as IGS or STEP. **What do you dislike about SpinFire Enterprise?** The product was completely re-written a year or two ago, and since that time some of our methods have had to change. As of now there are more features than ever, but there are a few bugs and sometimes crashes related to the handling of all the different graphics cards that our users have in their workstations. **Recommendations to others considering SpinFire Enterprise:** If you need to work with 3D Mechanical CAD data, give this software a try. You can download a free version from www.actify.com. **What problems is SpinFire Enterprise solving and how is that benefiting you?** We receive a lot of CATIA and NX CAD files from our customers. Most of our users have no CAD experience, and do not have access to a CAD workstation. Spinfire enables users from our engineers, program managers, manufacturing personnel, and shipping clerks to see what the part is supposed to look like, measure it, cut sections, and view all the associated meta-data. ### 5. Not availability to simulate movements into a cycle. ( Example gear train) **What problems is SpinFire Enterprise solving and how is that benefiting you?** Working with valves. There are a los of components and a lot of dimensions to take into account.
