The pros outweigh the cons, which is why we have been subscribed for years and will continue the service. With a few improvements they could dominate the UX! **What do you dislike about Specification Intelligence?** I think their database management tool really needs an overhaul. I want it to work more like google search instead of its current function. It has undesirable lag times and is slightly temperamental in terms of its rigidity. If this could be achieved, they would be second to none and would have something seriously powerful. **What problems is Specification Intelligence solving and how is that benefiting you?** They have consolidated the submittal process and made it easy to produce a product that looks intentional and professional. It has allowed us to improve our client experience. ### 2. It has been a time saver for uploading the finish legend into measure square and creating submittals. The binders are professional, and the product pictures and descriptions are excellent. I love getting them back stamped "no exceptions taken." Detailed submittals are crucial to setting expectations at the beginning of a project, and Spec Intel has taken the bar to new heights. **What do you dislike about Specification Intelligence?** I haven't found any dislikes. The only minor inconvenience I have found is missing products. I say minor because it only takes a few minutes to upload the product data and add it to our library. **What problems is Specification Intelligence solving and how is that benefiting you?** Spec Intel is helping us be more professional and save time. ### 3. They find it very professional and thorough. Secondly, our ability to select the entire job portfolio requirements along with submittals, we can send all the O&Ms also. Very fast and easy to use. **What do you dislike about Specification Intelligence?** As of right now, I don't have a downside yet. **What problems is Specification Intelligence solving and how is that benefiting you?** It solves the need to find all the products in one source verses searching all the different vendors' websites looking through multiple pages trying to find all the submittals an closeout data. I do not use it for punchlists, but the above box only gives me one choice. ### 4. The support staff has always been very responsive whenever I have had to reach out. **What do you dislike about Specification Intelligence?** Sometimes it shows duplicate products. After adding a new manufacturer, it doesn't pull any information. I am still required to manually enter all fields, including warranty, maintenance, and installation, which I think could be auto-generated. I also wish that some of the information would auto-populate when creating binders. Also, when editing binders, I would like the items to stay in their designated spot rather than defaulting to the end. **What problems is Specification Intelligence solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am not sure, as it is the only system that I have ever used. I do not know any other way. ### 5. It can be improved by containing up-to-date and accurate material info for data submittals. **What problems is Specification Intelligence solving and how is that benefiting you?** We can request pricing immediately and quickly. That is the lure that got us to sign up for the service.
