**What do you like best about Soya?**

I like Soya's bot‑free, on‑device local transcription capability, which is ideal for my sensitive one‑on‑one Gruveo client calls and supplier negotiations at Hamburg Consumer Goods UG. Many of my daily conversations cover commercially sensitive subjects: retail rebate terms, seasonal stock forecasts, product return policies and confidential supplier contract details. The fact that everything is processed locally on my laptop and no external bot joins our calls is a huge plus, as it means our confidential data never leaves my device mid‑conversation and stays private and secure. Soya lets me focus fully on conversations without worrying about taking frantic notes during high‑stakes discussions. I also appreciate how it generates draft notes, highlights key decisions, and lists action items automatically, which provides a solid starting point for maintaining internal client records. Last quarter, I held a critical Gruveo video negotiation with one of our key overseas retail suppliers. We went back and forth on revised minimum‑order quantities and adjusted delivery lead times. I turned Soya on in the background, and no bot entered the call at all. I could devote all my attention to the negotiation instead of scrambling to jot every detail down. Once we finished talking, Soya pulled out our core agreements and follow‑up tasks. Before we adopted Soya, I used Summarly which required a cloud bot. During one important supplier discussion, the bot crashed halfway through the negotiation. I lost automatic recording entirely and only had messy hand‑written fragments. Afterwards I had to send multiple follow‑up emails to confirm all verbal commitments, creating awkward back‑and‑forth and slowing down our procurement timeline for our 11‑50‑person consumer‑goods team. Even though I still need to fix corrupted German umlaut characters after export and manually archive transcripts into Box, Soya’s privacy‑first local processing remains its most valuable advantage for our most confidential B2B talks.

**What do you dislike about Soya?**

There is no native integration between Soya and Gruveo, meaning I have to rely on system‑audio capture on my laptop, which sometimes picks up background noise that contaminates the transcript. For example, during a supplier negotiation about seasonal product lead‑times, repeated system email notification chimes were captured, muddling large sections of the transcript and requiring me to spend extra time editing out noise fragments before saving the notes to Box. The transcription accuracy drops noticeably with German‑language consumer‑goods industry‑specific terminology; when retail partners bring up logistics terms, rebate clauses and product compliance jargon, key sentences often come out garbled. During one client support video consultation with a local retail partner, several niche supply‑chain phrases were misinterpreted in the draft output. I had to cross‑reference my quick hand‑written jottings and manually rewrite large sections of text after the call finished. Exported text files frequently suffer from German umlaut character corruption in supplier names, location terms and contract phrases, needing line‑by‑line manual proofreading and correction. Also, several advanced configuration panels are only available in English. Some of our junior support colleagues who work primarily in German struggle to locate local history files and adjust export settings. There is no automated workflow to push finished transcripts into EspoCRM either. I manually copy transcript snippets over to supplier contact records. Two months ago I forgot to attach one important negotiation transcript. When my teammate took over follow‑up work with that supplier, they had no visibility over our verbal agreements and our outreach got delayed. All of these manual steps increase the risk of human error and add consistent post‑call editing overhead for our small support team.

**What problems is Soya solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Soya eliminates privacy risks from third‑party call bots and reduces the heavy stress of manual note‑taking during my daily Gruveo client and supplier video calls at Hamburg Consumer Goods UG. Before moving to Soya, I depended on Summarly’s bot‑powered cloud transcription. I still clearly remember a difficult incident earlier this year: I was in a high‑stakes negotiation with an overseas goods supplier talking about confidential pricing adjustments. The recording bot suddenly disconnected mid‑call. I lost all automatic capture and could only take incomplete rushed notes. I had to reach out to the supplier afterwards to verify every single verbal point, which created unnecessary correspondence and held up our procurement progress. Soya processes transcription locally on my laptop, safeguarding all sensitive client complaints, supplier contract talks and retail partnership data from external cloud exposure. It produces automatic draft notes, decision points and follow‑up items, allowing me to focus fully on active negotiations and client consultations instead of multitasking with note‑taking. That being said, real‑world workflow friction still exists. Without native Gruveo integration, I rely on system‑audio capture which can pick up desktop noise. Exports regularly contain broken German umlaut characters requiring manual fixes, and I manually archive transcripts to Box and copy key excerpts into EspoCRM. On occasion, human error like missing transcript attachments can slow team follow‑up. Even with those drawbacks for our 11‑50‑person consumer‑goods team, Soya solves our core pain points of bot‑caused recording failures and privacy exposure, bringing tangible improvements to how we document our most sensitive B2B virtual conversations.
