Avidemux Reviews & Product Details

Its intuitive graphical structure makes editing fast and without the need for hours of training. With Avidemux it's easy to make cuts, splices and basic edits without loss of quality; it's compatible with multiple video formats both input and output that always preserve visual fidelity. It's not an editor for creating advanced audiovisual pieces, it's characterized by its simplicity which is an advantage for operational work (which doesn't require complex effects or detailed color corrections). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I will be honest the reason I used this in first place because it's a open source software but I am amazed to see the result of a video project I tried to develop.

I am not sure which platform it's made on but it looks robust. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There is no such thing to dislike as of now but I had some issues with 3gp format videos, however I was able to do the job after changing the format and since it was kind of free version i used i did not had much expectations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love video editing. I have been searching for video editing software for quite a long time that can fulfill my requirements, and that is what I found in Avidemux. The best part is it's easy to use (I don't know for others, but definitely for me). It simplifies video processing tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Not so far. I am not sure what can be added in this additionally but so far the best among others for me. Developers may work on better transcoding I guess else its perfect in all aspects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It offers multiple formats, DVD, AVI, MPEG, and MP4; I like that it offers HD playback customers very much like this as they want their videos to look polished; it has video filter options I can add effects and perform more advanced manipulation, the interface is quite simple and easy to understand. Although free, it generates doubts about the licenses; it is unclear who gives the concession; I do not know if I can use it commercially or if it is simply a standard editor. It is not ideal for large companies that require a more secure product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Dislike about Avidemux.. I guess we all know when you start loving some app but the greatest fall that app can help you with is crashing in between our works. This totally makes me hit the screen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Avidemux is useful because it supports some kinds of Mpegs and Mp4 but also because it allows us to create better video files and thus improve our products, stories, and other translations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It could be quicker and be translated into more languages and also feature more solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Following the things I dislike about Avidemux.

- old UI

- somtimes there is a distortion in the edited videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The most I like most about Avidemux are:

- This tool supports various subtitles formats like SUB and SRT.

- They also provide multiple filter options.

- I can export video in different outputs like MKV, MPEG, MP4, etc.

- It also supports muxing and demuxing.

- There are certain settings to help you process films fast for multiple kinds of Cds and modern portable devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I do not like in Avidemux are:

- I have to download extra code while working with an uncommon video format.

- Avidemux's UI is a little obsolete; that's not the most specialist freebie tool out there. It has minimal graphics and instead relies primarily on the often complicated options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
