From the perspective of companies issuing tenders, Sortlist can indeed be attractive. The platform structures tenders and makes it easier for companies to compare multiple agencies. For clients, Sortlist can therefore be a quick way to identify suitable service providers. The initial entry is also relatively straightforward: Registration and sign-up are quickly completed. It is also evident and generally sensible that leads are fundamentally checked. However, our experiences with Sortlist for agencies show that the value proposition on the agency side largely fails to materialize in practice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Sortlist? Our Sortlist experiences for agencies are unfortunately predominantly negative. A large portion of the leads is, in our view, only marginally qualified or thematically unsuitable. When there is a potentially interesting lead, a lot of credits have to be used, which quickly makes the cost per lead very high. We have used both the classic leads and the advertising offer from Sortlist. In both cases, we could not detect any measurable effect on qualified project inquiries. Additionally, we have repeatedly received no response from the supposed interested parties after making contact – classic ghosting. This results in costs without leading to conversations or projects. The integrated appointment function also did not work in our Sortlist experiences for agencies: None of our leads used this option to directly book an appointment. The customer support is also problematic from our perspective. Refund requests were repeatedly rejected despite appropriate justification, and there was hardly any real dialogue or transparent clarification. Ease of Integration The ease of integration is also problematic from our perspective. Sortlist offers no recognizable interfaces to CRM or marketing systems. Leads are only delivered via email, which significantly complicates integration into existing sales processes. There is no real integration into existing systems. The idea behind Sortlist is fundamentally sensible: companies should find suitable agencies for projects through a platform. However, in order to be found at all, many profile fields must be filled out and content must be continuously maintained. The effort to build and keep a truly visible profile up to date is therefore relatively high. We used Sortlist practically every day. From our perspective, this is also necessary because interesting leads are often quickly reserved by other agencies. Despite this regular use, we were unable to achieve any measurable success. Conclusion of our Sortlist experiences for agencies: The model may be convenient for companies issuing tenders.
