Social Toaster was fairly simple to use and user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about SocialToaster?**

Social Toaster has more limited features vs other engagement tools such as more complex solutions like GaggleAMP or EveryoneSocial -- you can't schedule a post promotion for a video or carousel post for example.

**What problems is SocialToaster solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Social Toaster was the first employee engagement platform that we used at Riskonnect - it's the tool that we had when I came on board to lead our Social Media team in April 2023.

**What do you like best about SocialToaster?**

Amazing platform which enables any organization to build an ambassador program to share your mission, programs with their networks and even get incentives. It's pretty affordable and worth the cost of about $4k as it spreads awareness for your brand. You leave the heavy uplift work to your ambassadors who do most of the work for you and increase your audience followers, donors. They are a community of active advocates for your mission. You are able to target individuals you are trying to gain interest in. They offer video and photo sharing, surveys, reporting, forums. 

**What do you dislike about SocialToaster?**

It's about $9000 a year to build the program with incentives for ambassadors but it is still worth the cost. The platform does not allow users to preview what's sent to their networks. I guess they are trying to make it easy for users to post however doesn't make sense. Why wouldn't they be able to customize with their own language especially geared towards their networks. 

**Recommendations to others considering SocialToaster:**

Utilize the free demo and online YouTube videos. Access whether your company will benefit from this platform and will you utilize all the features. What audiences are you attempting to reach and where are your challenges. 

**What problems is SocialToaster solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to have brand ambassadors who are able to do the main work for us and reach out to their networks and spread word about our mission, programs. It's difficult to do this on our own and it's important to increase donor, audience base. We are able to engage different audiences on all social media channels. It's a great tool for outreach on events and other activities. We are able to poll, survey our users.

**What do you like best about SocialToaster?**

Social Toaster gives brands a simple way to reward audiences for advocating and sharing content. We've looked for something for years that would make earning points, giving away prizes and encouraging user promotion simple to integrate and use with existing social platforms. The Social Toaster team has been very helpful in providing direction and helping us get set up, and in maintaining the program. They see issues and opportunities and are proactive in helping us improve our campaigns. 

When we did a test with our sales team, they were very excited about the platform and how they thought it would work to engage potential and existing customers. It's been a great way to get our advocates sharing our messages,  which is often more effective than doing it ourselves. 

**What do you dislike about SocialToaster?**

My only complaint is that we've had three different account reps from Social Toaster in less than a year. We adored the first; he was so helpful and proactive and knew our account well. Some of the others have been less pleasant and don't know our account as well. I wish we still had our original rep!

**Recommendations to others considering SocialToaster:**

Make good use of your Social Toaster rep to get the most from the platform, especially if you have an experienced one. Be sure to ask for walk-throughs of how to understand insights, how to update the sites, how to create posts and contests, and all the ins and outs. They are helpful and want to help you succeed. 

**What problems is SocialToaster solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Social Toaster enables us to engage our brand advocates and customers, rewarding them for their participation and advocacy. We have a lot of in-depth, educational content that our audience loves and it needs to get out through the users and not just our own channels. Our content is regularly promoted by our users to their friends, who are more likely to read it and trust the friend who shared. 

Social Toaster also allows us to facilitate the acquisition of user generated content. Now we have photos, stories and survey results that we can use to help tell our story and feature our customers on our channels.

What I love about Social Toaster is that they make setup really easy and Social Toaster is always available to help.

**What do you dislike about SocialToaster?**

The only thing I dislike about Social Toaster is that the design is pretty limited. You have to make your design elements work in a sort of grid of squares that can sometimes be limiting.

**What problems is SocialToaster solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using and have used Social Toaster for brand awareness. The best benefit is getting so much real content that you can repurpose for other things.

I like social toaster because it has a really great user experience, and is very customer focused for it's users.

I have only used less than a couple months, so at this time, there are no dislikes.

The ability to cross channel -engage our top prospects. The ability to drive engagement through these key users in an authentic way. 

**What do you dislike about SocialToaster?**

As new social platforms arise, the ability to engage with these platforms will be essential. We're often nervous about the ability to constantly "keep up"

**What problems is SocialToaster solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Social toaster has taken a very manual process of weeding through influencers and top prospects and allowing us to move those resources into engagement vs searching out these influencers and contacting them.

**What do you like best about SocialToaster?**

Social Toaster makes it very easy to use advocates to share information about your company/entity. Not only is it easy to send the information to advocates, the user side of the platform is incredibly easy to use. After linking your social media sites, the user is able to use single-button functionality to share the content across multiple social media sites.

**What do you dislike about SocialToaster?**

I work in fundraising, and due to the company functionality that it was created for, SocialToaster did present some challenges. However, the platform has since been moved into a communications office and is functioning much more properly.

A more specific example of a challenge is the only information that you can have for your advocates is the information that they provide through their social media platforms.

**What problems is SocialToaster solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The major benefit is you're able to easily create and send information in relation to your company/product to a mass audience. As mentioned above, the ease with which advocates can use the platform has proved to be incredibly effective.

**What do you like best about SocialToaster?**

Social Toaster is a novel way of engaging the organization's existing fans and most interested community members, leveraging that audience's extended social reach in a way that can make these constituents feel both helpful and appreciated. The "gamification" of Social Toaster, allowing fans to collect points and win accolades and even prizes, is a great way to increase adoption.

**What do you dislike about SocialToaster?**

Social Toaster seems to say it will, but doesn't, allow users to preview what will be shared with their social networks before messages go out. Letting users see exactly what they will be sharing on each platform should be the bare minimum, and letting users customize or introduce the messages in their own words would be appropriate and make me more confident in the tool.

**What problems is SocialToaster solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The alumni affairs arm of Cornell (I'm an alum, not an employee of alumni affairs) uses Social Toaster for outreach on events and initiatives.

**What do you like best about SocialToaster?**

SocialToaster allows us to send custom emails to hundreds of volunteer social media ambassadors. Ambassadors can share our content with their networks with a click of a button. Email allows us to explain our content strategy goals and share our results. 

**What do you dislike about SocialToaster?**

There is not much to dislike. We haven't used the platform to its full potential. It would be helpful to be able to segment our content by location and interests, but that might already be a feature I'm not using yet. 

**Recommendations to others considering SocialToaster:**

Request a demo and take it on for a specific campaign. We did this with our first Giving Day and decided to continue with the program after seeing how well it worked. 

**What problems is SocialToaster solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SocialToaster is helping us solve reach and engagement problems, especially for awareness campaigns. Our combined network reach is nearly 500K and our email open rate for ambassador messages averages 44%.

- Segmenting is when we take the info that users have provided us with at sign-up and we segment them based on certain criteria (ie. location).
- Tagging is when we actively ask a user upon  sign-up to select an interest category (ie. alumni, faculty)

This product is an easy-to-use software that is intuitive for novice and tech-savvy people alike. It is a great tool for setting up affiliate and sponsored social posts. The staff were very helpful too.



**What do you dislike about SocialToaster?**

but there is a snag with companies who want to offer rewards to their participants because legal teams may need to review terms of service.

**What problems is SocialToaster solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If you have a volunteer group, this is a great tool to spread the social word among these constituents.

**What do you like best about SocialToaster?**

The system is so user-friendly and does exactly what you want it to do - award points & make people feel special for sharing your client's content, using your client's hashtags, and spreading your client's keywords. The team at SocialToaster is always there to help update anything you can't figure out in the back end, verify winners, and help brainstorm ideas if you're stuck.

**What do you dislike about SocialToaster?**

This is not a magical tool. You really need to dedicate a lot of time to sending out content emails AT LEAST weekly and making it extremely clear what prizes fans are working towards, and making sure you fulfill those prizes, etc. It's really a lot of work. This doesn't mean I dislike it, it's just true. It would be nice if SocialToaster would take on the responsibility of contacting winners and prize fulfillment, especially when it's prizes that are physical merch. 

**Recommendations to others considering SocialToaster:**

Make sure whoever is running the team has enough time to really dedicate to make it as effective as it can possibly be. 

**What problems is SocialToaster solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SocialToaster caused my artist to trend on Twitter multiple times, worldwide, within minutes, because I was capitalizing on an already rabid fan base. So it's a perfect tool if you have a situation where you need to organize a bunch of passionate people into one place and make them powerful. If you were starting from zero, this would not be the tool for you.

Social Toaster is a very agile company and constantly looking at our advocacy program and suggesting ideas for refinement and improvement.

Measuring the true ROI is a challenge and not sure that the community is true advocates of the brand and not just deal seekers.

Viral voice for the brand.

The platform is very intuitive in setting up campaigns as well as users navigating through the platform.   You can gain great metrics on your community.

**What do you dislike about SocialToaster?**

There are some limitations on setting up the platform.  Most of the emails that are sent to the community need to follow the template and is hard to customize. 

**What problems is SocialToaster solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We found great insights on what our advocates are looking for in new products.  Also, a great way to find out new flavor trends.

Social Toaster is easy to use and can really help you amp up your social media presence by helping the content spread through your "superfans" first.

**What do you dislike about SocialToaster?**

They used to have a free version, which they no longer offer.

This is a great piece of software to use for organizations that want to cultivate and motivate long-term relationships. Superfans earn points for actions (tweeting, FB'ing, etc.) and can redeem them for various rewards.
