SmartShifts Reviews & Product Details

COMPANY DESCRIPTION SmartShifts was built for the operators, managers, and frontline teams who run shift-based businesses — restaurants, hotels, retail stores, and any organization where the schedule directly determines the guest experience, the labor cost, and whether the team shows up ready to work. We built SmartShifts because the scheduling tools that existed were either too simple for complex operations or too expensive and complicated for growing businesses. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION SmartShifts is a full-featured workforce scheduling and management platform built for restaurants, hospitality, retail, and shift-based teams. We combine AI-powered scheduling, geofencing time clocks, dual-logic tip management, 50-state labor law compliance, 13-plus POS integrations, and an employee engagement system — including achievements, rewards, and post-shift surveys — in one platform with separate desktop-optimized admin and mobile-first employee portals connected via real-time WebSocket sync. WHAT WE DO SmartShifts replaces the manual scheduling, text-chain shift coordination, spreadsheet tip calculations, and paper timesheets that cost shift-based businesses thousands of dollars per year in labor inefficiency, compliance exposure, and management time. Our AI labor forecasting panel connects to your POS to predict sales and recommend optimal staffing before you publish the schedule. Our geofencing clock-in verifies employees are physically on-site. Our tip management module automates FOH and BOH pool distribution. And our achievements and rewards system gives managers a built-in retention tool beyond a verbal thank-you. KEY FEATURES Admin Portal — Scheduling and Workforce Management Visual drag-and-drop schedule builder with conflict detection and double-booking alerts.
