smartGRC is the first AI-native SAP access governance platform - purpose-built to replace SAP GRC Access Control before its 2027 end-of-life. Nineteen named AI agents handle routine governance continuously, while your team focuses on exceptions. EMERGENCY ACCESS: Pre-Approval scores firefighter requests in seconds. Session Audit analyzes the full transaction log of every closed session, flags anomalies, drafts audit reports. Auto-Revocation removes stale privileged access. SoD ANALYTICS: SoD Monitoring watches conflicts 24/7 (not monthly batch). Conflict Resolution suggests specific mitigations grounded in your role catalog. ACCESS REVIEWS: Continuous Review replaces quarterly campaigns. Decision Copilot equips reviewers with usage data, peer comparison and risk context - eliminating reflexive approvals. ROLE ENGINEERING: Role Design proposes new SAP roles from real TX usage. Excess Pruning removes unused permissions based on actual execution patterns. REPORTING: Compliance Prediction forecasts SOX 404, GDPR and ISO 27001 findings before audit day. Docs Generator assembles auditor-ready evidence packs in minutes instead of days. PLATFORM-WIDE: GRC Copilot is a natural-language interface to SAP governance data - ask "show all users with SAP\_ALL this quarter" and get a structured answer. The autonomy dial is the key differentiator. Every agent operates at one of four levels: Suggest (AI proposes, human decides), Assist (AI prepares, human signs off), Automate (AI executes within policy, human monitors), Fully Autonomous (AI executes and self-audits, human reviews exceptions). Your governance officer controls the dial per workflow. Every decision is explainable, reviewable, reversible - making smartGRC EU AI Act-ready. Measurable outcomes: 92% reduction in SOX audit prep time, SoD reviews on 100% of users (vs 5-10% manual sample), audit findings predicted weeks ahead, reviewer sessions in 15 minutes instead of full days. Five enterprise customers run smartGRC in production with signed reference letters: Volkswagen Group Poland (automotive), Cyfrowy Polsat (300 SAP users, media), AmRest (100+ users across KFC, Burger King, Starbucks brands - since 2010), PCC Rokita (1,700 SAP users across 17 chemical subsidiaries, all 4 modules), Polkomtel (telecom identity). Production deployments span 9 to 16 years. Native integration with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC and 8 non-SAP systems (Active Directory, ServiceNow, Salesforce, Workday). EU-hosted, GDPR-compliant, 7 languages. Built by GRC Advisory - Wrocław-based SAP consulting firm with 15+ years experience, verified SAP Service Partner. Pricing: Free evaluation, Starter EUR 15k/yr, Professional EUR 30k/yr, Enterprise EUR 60k/yr. Customers replacing SAP GRC AC see 70-85% lower 3-year TCO.

"Actionable SoD Reports in Clear Business Terms"

5/5

What do you like best about smartGRC?

I worked with smartGRC as a recipient of its segregation-of-duties reports for our system, and what I valued most is that the findings arrived in a form I could understand and act on without being a SAP authorisations specialist. Conflicts were described in business terms: for example, that the same person could both post and approve, rather than as raw authorisation objects, so I could see the risk in our accounting processes and follow up with the right people. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about smartGRC?

I received the reports rather than running the analysis myself, so when I wanted to dig into a specific conflict I had to go back to the team. A bit more self-serve access to drill into an individual finding would have been handy on my side. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is smartGRC solving and how is that benefiting you?

The problem it solved for me was understanding segregation-of-duties risk in our system without having to become an SAP expert. Before, SoD risk was something fairly abstract that I couldn't easily see; the reports made it concrete (which combinations were risky, who was affected, and where to focus). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, Intuitive SAP authrorization analysis with powerful What-If Insights"

4.5/5

What do you like best about smartGRC?

As a SAP Security & Authorization consultant, I run analyses on client environments without waiting for a full enterprise GRC deployment. Uploading a role catalogue and user assignments as flat files gives me a working SoD, SAT and FUE analysis in one afternoon.

The what-if capability changed how I present recommendations. Instead of "remove this transaction", I show clients the FUE impact instantly - data-driven trade-offs beat opinions every time.

What I use most:

-Bulk role import via XML or file upload

-SoD ruleset with sensible defaults for standard SAP areas

-Risk definitions in business terms - process owners read reports without me translating

The UI is genuinely intuitive, which is rare in the GRC category. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about smartGRC?

The API documentation could be more detailed - I had to reach out to support when integrating smartGRC with a client-side automation pipeline. Mobile experience is also limited (understandable for a GRC tool, but occasionally I need a quick check from my phone during a client meeting). Nothing that blocks day-to-day work, but worth flagging for consultants who juggle multiple client environments in parallel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is smartGRC solving and how is that benefiting you?

Two main problems it solves for me as a consultant.

Problem 1: Waiting weeks for a full enterprise GRC deployment before I can show a client where their SoD conflicts and FUE risks are. With the cloud version I upload extracts, run analysis, deliver findings within days.

Problem 2: Making outputs usable for clients. Traditional GRC dumps thousand-row Excels; smartGRC structures results by process area with business-term risk names. Process owners read the report and act on it without me translating.

Net benefit: shorter sales cycles for new engagements and higher perceived value on delivery. I can propose paid discovery on real client data, not on generic slides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Consistent, Audit-Ready Compliance Reporting You Can Stand Behind"

4.5/5

What do you like best about smartGRC?

The best part of smartGRC is the consistency it brings to compliance reporting. Because the reports are built on defined rules, they’re easier to reproduce, reconcile, and stand behind when it comes time for audits. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about smartGRC?

What do you dislike about smartGRC?

Draft:

Report formatting customisation is a little limited when I need output to match a

specific regulator or auditor template exactly — I tidy it up afterwards. And with the

AI-flagged items, I'd like slightly more explanation behind each flag. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is smartGRC solving and how is that benefiting you?

smartGRC helps us produce consistent and reliable compliance evidence, even when the environment changes quickly. It reduces manual effort, makes reporting easier to repeat from cycle to cycle, and gives us outputs that are easier to support during audits. "Highly Customizable smartGRC with Audit-Ready Controls"

4.5/5

What do you like best about smartGRC?

We use smartGRC for mofe than 12 years by now. Key advantages include:

Depth of customization, issue-oriented support by the developer.

Mass user UI streamlined, yet powerful.

Not limited to SAP environment, but features universal XML data import

Instant reporting and key mass user functionality, reasonable batch processing performance.

Price positioned very competitively against SAP access analytical solution (GRC module), with similar and in some areas even better functionality. Risks are not determined by technical access roles, but can be defined in generic business terms, easy to understand by risk owners, consequently translated by smartGRC underlying queries.

We use smartAccess to manage superuser access across 5 different SAP instances and for some 30 IT support staff. We are currently migrating the landscape to S/4 HANA, with plan to keep current smartGRC functionality.

Additionally we consider enrolling access role design and provisioning with smartGRC support, as a part of the migration.

We've also enrolled periodic user access reviews. Each campaign some 40 tho. individual risks are reviewed by approximately 300 risk owners, both on SAP and various SQL-based business systems.

Both these functionalities significantly ease proving adequate ITGC controls during statutory financial audit (performed by one of Big-4 practices). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about smartGRC?

I await full transition to containerized environment, as current system setup is quite complex from technology standpoint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is smartGRC solving and how is that benefiting you?

We've implemented smartGRC at the same time as SAP ERP system. This gave full transparency on end-user system privileges, and was essential for audit function, both internal and external. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clear SoD Risk Insights and Auditable Access Reviews in One Solution"

4.5/5

What do you like best about smartGRC?

As the IT manager responsible for SAP security, I need a clear view of where SoD risks are concentrated and confidence that access reviews are being performed consistently, all within a single solution. The SoD analysis helps identify and prioritise the areas of highest risk, allowing my team to focus on the roles that require the most attention, while the review workflow provides an auditable record of who reviewed access, when it was reviewed, and what decisions were made.

What makes this especially valuable is the business-oriented risk terminology. It enables meaningful discussions with process owners and allows me to report findings and progress to management in a clear and understandable way, without having to translate technical SAP authorisation details into business language. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about smartGRC?

The PDF/export styling is a little rigid. When I need a report to match our internal templates exactly, my team usually performs some additional formatting afterwards. It's a relatively minor issue, but probably the limitation I notice most often.

I would also say that some parts of the user interface can feel a bit cluttered and not always intuitive, especially when working with larger data sets or reviewing multiple risks at once. While all the necessary information is available, the screens can sometimes be overloaded with details, making it slightly harder to quickly focus on the most important items. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is smartGRC solving and how is that benefiting you?

The main challenge SmartGRC solves for me is maintaining visibility and control over SoD risks and access governance without having to dive into technical SAP authorization details on a daily basis. Before, gathering SoD findings, tracking review completion, and preparing information for management or auditors required significant manual effort and consolidation from multiple sources.

With SmartGRC, risk analysis and access review activities are managed in one place, providing a single, up-to-date view of our control environment. This makes it much easier to monitor compliance, prioritize remediation efforts, and demonstrate to management and auditors that key controls are not only defined but are operating effectively. The result is greater transparency, reduced administrative effort, and increased confidence in our SAP security governance processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Approval Workflows with Built-In SoD Checks and a Complete Audit Trail"

5/5

What do you like best about smartGRC?

From the administration side, what I value is that access provisioning runs through

an approval workflow with an SoD check built into the request. Instead of granting

access and finding the conflict later, the conflict surfaces before approval, so

risky combinations don't get provisioned in the first place. As the person administering the platform, I also like that every request keeps a

full approval trail. When someone asks how a given access was granted, the history

is already there and I'm not reconstructing it after the fact. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about smartGRC?

Some of the more advanced workflow configuration isn't documented as deeply as I'd

like — I got there, but a richer setup guide would have shortened the work. Nothing

that affects day-to-day running once it's configured. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is smartGRC solving and how is that benefiting you?

The problem is preventing SoD conflicts from being introduced during provisioning,

and keeping provisioning itself manageable to administer. This is also an added value during audits.

With the workflow's inline SoD check, risky combinations are flagged at the point of approval, fewer conflicts enter the system, and I have a clean approval trail. The benefit for me is less manual reconciliation and a smoother review cycle downstream. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
