# What platform integrates service desk tools with asset management?

<p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Hi all! </p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">I’m trying to find a<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/service-desk"> service desk platform</a> that doesn’t just handle tickets but also brings in asset management — so IT can see the full picture (devices, software, users) tied directly to incidents and requests. Having to run separate tools for tickets and assets is getting painful. Based on G2’s grid, here are some of the top platforms that combine service desk + asset management:</p><ul>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/servicenow-it-service-management/reviews"><strong>ServiceNow IT Service Management:</strong></a> The gold standard for enterprise ITSM. Full integration between service desk, CMDB, and asset management, but comes with cost and complexity.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/autotask/reviews"><strong>Autotask</strong></a><strong>:</strong> Strong PSA + ITSM tool, with built-in asset and inventory management, making it a solid fit for MSPs and SMB IT teams.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/jira-service-management/reviews"><strong>Jira Service Management:</strong></a> Good ticketing and ITSM tool; integrates with Atlassian’s asset management module (Insight) for tying assets to requests.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/freshservice/reviews"><strong>Freshservice:</strong></a> Cloud-based ITSM with built-in asset management (hardware and software), easy to set up compared to some enterprise tools.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/atera/reviews"><strong>Atera</strong></a><strong>:</strong> Focused on SMBs and MSPs, combining remote monitoring, asset tracking, and service desk in one lightweight platform.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/solarwinds-service-desk/reviews"><strong>SolarWinds Service Desk</strong></a><strong>:</strong> Includes native asset management, letting you track devices and software alongside incidents.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/sysaid/reviews"><strong>SysAid</strong></a>: Strong ITSM with asset management included, popular with mid-market teams looking for an all-in-one.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/azure-service-health/reviews"><strong>Azure Service Health</strong></a><strong>:</strong> More of a service monitoring tool than a full service desk/asset management platform, so not the best fit here.</li>
</ul><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Anyone here using one of these all-in-one platforms, do you find the built-in asset management holds up, or do you still need a separate tool for deeper tracking?</p>

&lt;p&gt;I’m also wondering, is the built-in asset management in these platforms usually “good enough,” or do most teams still end up integrating with a dedicated asset tool anyway? Seems like having it all in one place is convenient, but I’m curious if it gets too shallow once you scale.&lt;/p&gt;
