Without integration, someone working in Slack (chat, discussion) and someone working in Jira (issue tracking, updates) are switching back and forth between tools. That wastes time and breaks flow. For example: People send a message in Slack about a bug, but then have to go into Jira, create or update an issue manually. A Jira issue gets updated, but the change is not reflected in Slack where discussions are happening, so stakeholders may miss it.
