Good,but now owned by Connectwise **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Rich J. | Operations Manager, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2025 **What do you like best about ConnectWise Cloud Backup?** Easy to use, good pricing, good support team **What do you dislike about ConnectWise Cloud Backup?** interface isn't the best, but it's ok, and they just sold to connectwise, depending which side of the fence you sit on, this could be a dealbreaker **What problems is ConnectWise Cloud Backup solving and how is that benefiting you?** Great at backing up end user mailboxes, we also use it for office 365 migrations, these sometimes fail, but nothing major and a re-run is fine. ### 2. I particularly like the colour coding for alert level types so its easy to distinguish how important it is. **What do you dislike about ConnectWise Cloud Backup?** Way too simple for its own good, point in time backup has been designed like an afterthought and most of the time you have to give up trying to restore the data you need. When you compare it to a competitor like Backupify/Druva you realise just how simple it is. Might work for small organisations but not a great fit for an MSP. **What problems is ConnectWise Cloud Backup solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have many client tenant instances (M365) which don't have a native backup solution, SkyKick allows us to back these services up purely in the cloud negating the need for any on-premise servers/storage. Because its cloud to cloud, the network overhead is also removed and its nice and quick. ### 3. There is no simply way to confirm data is backed up and if you need a restore you have to call support to re-index. Its hard to keep using this tool when many advertise free options, however their tools have not performed the same or their support is not as good. **What problems is ConnectWise Cloud Backup solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have been able to migrate our customers into the cloud with a consistent and reliable process. We have found that leading with an O365 project using skykick, our customers see how easy doing projects with us can be, so they are more willing to do other projects. ### 6.
