Creates a unique dashboard within a second, it saves our time

As of now there is nothing which I dislike about this tool

**What problems is Sisense solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was not able to make impactful Dashboard via any other tool, Sisense has helped me to create it in a very short span of time

**What do you like best about Sisense?**

The best thing is that it works without the regular hassles of other equivalent applications/, and is very easy to use. Also, acclimatizing to the application is very easy. It makes us feel the work is a piece of cake compared to other applications.

**What do you dislike about Sisense?**

The application seems too easy to use, and it feels there might be a catch wherein the company might ask us to pay to use it post a particular point.

**What problems is Sisense solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It would be helping in creating intuitive Business reports.

Sisense has enabled our company of ~ 50 employees to operationalize data & analytics in a scalable and cost-effective way.

**What do you dislike about Sisense?**

When Sisense acquired Periscope, support went from live chat to tickets that took days to resolve. They are making improvements in this area.

**What problems is Sisense solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sisense allows us to join and visualize critical business data from various companies, saving time and unlocking strategic insights that enable us to make better decisions faster.

**What do you like best about Sisense?**

The product looks good and has a well-thought-out user experience. The product is well-featured, and our clients found it easy to pick up and use, which is why we chose it. Good ease of use and embedded white label capabilities.

**What do you dislike about Sisense?**

The internal organization has come a long way since we started with them, and they continue to make great strides to improve their operational and client-to-product processes. Our ability to get bugs or features looked at and answered has been a challenge for us and, at the moment, still continues to be a challenge, so this is our biggest pain point.

**What problems is Sisense solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We resell Sisense to our clients as a white-labeled BI product within our software.

Ease of use. It is usually pretty straightforward to get data into a summarized and analytical state

**What do you dislike about Sisense?**

I do wish the visuals were better at interacting with each other.

As an embedded tool, it integrates well with our SSO solution and allows the product team to focus on the core responsibility of the product. BI can focus on data visualization.

I like the Ease of use and the various options for creating dynamic dashboards that elevate user experience.

The need to edit script and code stuff in to make adjustments to a few minor things.

The quick view and filtering options allow for a clear and detailed spread of data.

Simplicity to use, the tooling is easy to navigate.

Collaboration is weak; we haven't tried GIT integration, as it was recently released.

Sisense allows us to visualize all data sources and state business KPIs in one place of truth.

The build functionality has some key limitations that sometimes make managing the build environment difficult. Support could use significant enhancements for better service to existing customers.

Great Learning and Carrier Building Tool. It is the latest tool and has lot of demand in the market

**What do you like best about Sisense?**

Accessibility to in-house MySQL data across teams who can create dashboards without involving our dev team. Filters with simple syntax and accessibility to teams.

**What do you dislike about Sisense?**

There is a steep learning curve to custom syntax, variable replacement, date filters, etc. But these are benefits, once learned, not drawbacks. We have a lack of understanding of the caching capability.

Sisense is not solving any problems, but it helps identify them, which is a benefit.

User Management and Permissions are a breeze. Especially with SSO using SAML.

**What do you dislike about Sisense?**

Sisense could use work as far as support for mapping and custom maps, as well as creating more detailed or varied visualizations out of the box, although the flexibility offered by blox helps.

**What problems is Sisense solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's allowing us to monetize our data to clients, by selling them a seat to view our insights. Before, we just sent excel sheets to clients.

**What do you like best about Sisense?**

Like Sisense, you can securely connect to cloud data storage and ingest data to establish a single repository for all your data. You can combine data from various sources to get a holistic picture of your organization. You can mix live and cached data models to improve speed and control resource usage. You can create interactive application components and visualizations using the extensive collection of built-in widgets and approved plugins.

**What do you dislike about Sisense?**

I have occasionally seen instability in Sisense. The cost of a Sisense subscription is high. Font formatting is still missing from Sisense. It would be nice if Sisense included a function that allows us to inspect the data and implicit tables.

**What problems is Sisense solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sisense offers various APIs and toolkits to design and tag applications. Analytics is fully integrated and can be used in the office or on mobile devices on the go. A variety of specific information can be displayed using interactive infographics. Charts and other visualizations can be resized and positioned differently.

I like Sisense because it allows me to share dashboards online with multiple users. It provides the flexibility to connect to any data source, low-code or no-code tools, augmented analytics, and self-service capabilities. Data analysis, dashboard access and editing, and even running queries on the fly are possible. Teams can immediately integrate Sisense with their database or cloud-based data sources.

**What do you dislike about Sisense?**

Elasticube's capabilities can be time-consuming and error-prone, and Sisense has some compilation issues. 3D graphs or cubes are not yet included in Sinsense visualizations. Installation and deployment of Sisense can be simplified.

**What problems is Sisense solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sisense allows you to process gigabytes of data on a single server while serving multiple users. A drag and drop interface allows the transfer of data from many sources. You can change the position of the built-in chart widgets on the dashboard by dragging and dropping them there. Offers an understanding of complex data for better results. Large data sets from multiple sources can be combined into a single, consistent, enterprise-wide database.

**What do you like best about Sisense?**

The dashboard builder works excellent with lots of widget options. There are a lot of great plug-ins to extend the functionalities. The elastic cube designer works well in linking the data from different sources and massaging it. There are lots of great Rest APIs to integrate with the web applications.

**What do you dislike about Sisense?**

We are facing the following issues and working with the support at times. 1. Server slowness and not responding after rebuilding the Elasticubes for a week or more. 2. At times, the build server stops and needs a manual restart. 3. Looking for an Incremental and faster Elasticube build to show the data within 5 to 10 mins daily. 4. The drivers for MongoDB have some issues in parsing the nested objects. This needs some workarounds to flatten the data at the collections level using views or another approach.

We can build dashboards/reports for all the modules. We use widgets like table, pivot, pie, bar, column chart etc. Adding a custom report for a partner is quick, and we can roll it out to production in a week's time.

Sisense does a pretty good job at doing the basics; database querying, creating data models, creating dashboards from those data models, etc. In terms of doing the minimum for any data analysis software, it does it's job just fine.

**What do you dislike about Sisense?**

Sisense is full of strange, often unidentifiable or non-reproduce-able bugs. Many of these are related to a buggy UI/UX, others have to do with dashboards returning errors with no insight on the source. Additionally, the custom EC tool can use a few key features:
- a way to select boolean logic for join conditions
- join options for tables  (non-default inner joins)

**Recommendations to others considering Sisense:**

Sisense is best for those without extensive knowledge and experience in SQL querying. For more experienced users, there are likely other software that allow for more freedom.

**What problems is Sisense solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving business problems related to optimizing the blades / damages problem in the wind industry. There are plenty of benefits to building dashboards that draw conclusions on the kind of actions that O&Ms of wind farms should take.

Sisense does a very good job of doing the basics, like querying databases, creating data models, creating dashboards from those data models, etc. The user interface is visually appealing and easy to navigate. It offers a full suite of functionality with detailed training and onboarding for users who are new to the system, and even if you are new to the concept of visualizations, you can orient yourself to the system and its logic to get up to speed very quickly and effortlessly without any issue. The product is designed to be used or developed by a multitude of users, from beginners to advanced users. This tool is good for deep insight and advanced analysis like customer segmentation, forecasting, regression

**What do you dislike about Sisense?**

It cannot be custom styled very much. We sometimes have to write scripts to perform sometimes simple options. Our on premise server can sometimes need a reboot but we are running on an old version. Sisense are focusing on Linux and we are on Windows. We ran a trail upgrade and not much had changed. I would like to see more widgets

I would look to use the Linux version and using their own managed cloud environment rather than on premise

**What do you like best about Sisense?**

Our Sales/Account rep was great to work with, they really seemed to get our pain points and advocate for us with technical support. The online support community has a ton of articles and shared ideas between users.

**What do you dislike about Sisense?**

It is not a low-code BI solution. Most of the dashboard and widget customizations have very few WYSIWYG options, it's mostly all customizing code. Just trying to bold text, format tables, or adding our branding colors requires JQuery and API access. On the reliability side of things, we were never able to fully implement Sisense as our only reporting/BI method for end-users. It was a near-weekly occurrence that we'd design and develop a dashboard to be shared with end-users, only to find that overnight it doesn't work anymore, having tested and worked 100% the day before. Authoring dashboards and widgets were also very cumbersome, often taking multiple attempts to achieve simple actions, like drag-n-drop moving of elements and organizing with folders. Their support hours and response times did not at all align with our company's working hours or expectations. The amount of time our development team had to repeatedly spend away from improving our own software to get Sisense working and keep working was way too much.

**What problems is Sisense solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were at first able to offset some of the SQL/report creation from being a development task to other staff. A few times were could turn around an end-user request faster than having to rely solely on the development staff. Running a very lean team, the benefit of having a dedicated developer or team of developers just to implement embedded analytics would be of great benefit to fully utilize the depth and power Sisense does offer, with some elbow grease.

The designer capabilities are very intuitive and their support and account management are very responsive. The onboarding process to use Sisense as an embedded analytics solution included time spent with developers on their end who were very knowledgeable and responsive to our questions and concerns. Active community with lots of plugins, both supported and unsupported.

**What do you dislike about Sisense?**

It is complicated to control levels of permissions between full designer and limited viewer. We have many use cases where we wish to give limited designer capabilities and this does not exist out of the box requiring you to modify JS and mongo DBs to create roles for limited design.

Intuitive look and feel. I love that you can create so easily a new dashboard and it is all connected and drillable. The point and click aspects are easy to use and customers are impressed with the look of it.

**What do you dislike about Sisense?**

Items I dislike are:
- every join is an "inner join" by default so sometimes creating the table structures makes it difficult to do certain types of reports
- modifying styling (font, bold, colors, etc.) is not really available within each widget.
- more language and currency support
- Every plugin that looks like a great feature is actually a very expensive 3rd party plugin. Things like forecasting have neat features but don't actually give much help to customers.

An out of the box, good looking, clickable set of dashboards is very valuable for our customers.

Being able to build new dashboards quickly and deploy without R&D interventions is a big deal to get solutions to our customers quicker.

The support team is slow and doesn't always understand the issue or how to troubleshoot it. I typically have to go through multiple iterations of showing the issue. The functionality is somewhat limited and any additional capabilities, which seem like standard requirements to me, require a plugin, typically at a cost. Changes are made without notification sometimes, causing features to break.

**Recommendations to others considering Sisense:**

Sisense is good when the data is limited in size and complexity. The more tables in the cube, the slower the tool gets. Basic widgets are easy to create and export, but anything else seems to come at a cost and requires add-ons and testing once enabled.

I am able to consolidate data from multiple sources into one unified reporting tool. This allows the business to see a full 360 view of our customers in one location.

Sisense provides a training course that is extremely beneficial to understanding how the platform works. The compatibility the software has with other applications makes it easy to use and useful to utilize at my work.

The only discrepancy I noticed while using it was that I had to switch back and forth between the academy and the actual platform for testing. If it was incorporated within the academy so that I could test and learn it would be a very effective training simulation.

Easy to make insightful visualizations of the data. Easy to update monitor, and create regular reporting for end-users to make the most informed decisions possible.

Data exists in an elasticube model. My current understanding is that Sisense relies on the user being intimately knowledgeable of the data before working in Sisense. It would be beneficial to be able to view the underlying tables and data when necessary.

Training needs some work, but the software seems intuitive and easy to pick up. However, be careful about allowing users who are unfamiliar with the data to use Sisense.

The more we use Sisense, the more we discover new ways to update our processes using the product. For example, we've recently attached a video to a dashboard that provides new users with an overview of the dashboard and how it integrates with their daily work responsibilities.

Occasionally, Sisense likes to choose its own path to aggregate data and while that concept may be helpful for many situations/users creating a dashboard, it can cause my team challenges.

We are solving classic info intelligence problems - lots of data to sift through and we need a flexible tool to help us make progress. We've been able to train several end users on the basics and they are now creating their own views of information to analyze.
