**What do you like best about SimpleMind?**

SimpleMind gives me visual flexibility to organize ideas in various layouts—vertical, horizontal, or list. I can expand or collapse all topics easily, edit intuitively with drag-and-drop, and enrich my maps by attaching voice notes or video files.

**What do you dislike about SimpleMind?**

I currently have no real complaints—past issues with performance on complex, media-heavy maps were resolved in recent updates.

**What problems is SimpleMind solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've reduced lesson prep time, supported students’ visual learning, and improved my planning. With everything stored as visual maps in the cloud, I can access and adjust content anytime, from any device.

  ### 2. An useful app

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about SimpleMind?**

I remember using this app on my android phone to make some mind maps a few years ago.
It's a free app and mostly it worked fine, easy to use, you were able to use it on a tablet or on a phone, it wasn't slow, it let you customize the map a little bit.
So in general was a good experience, no issues and mostly, it helped me to finish the mind maps easily and fast.

**What do you dislike about SimpleMind?**

The app had a good performance and never had issues with it, but the only thing that I disliked about simplemind is that the design seems to be stuck in the 2000's, it was hard to make it look modern or different, this didn't affect the result but it was and it is a thing that I always pay attention to, the option to modify your designs to make them look cooler.

**What problems is SimpleMind solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 6. Powerful mind-mapping tool for writers, students, and other scatter-brained individuals

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carissa B. | Novelist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2021

**What do you like best about SimpleMind?**

I love that SimpleMind gives me a powerful, flexible tool to generate attractive mind maps, timelines, and to-do lists on mobile (I use the Pro version on iOS). The developers have remained active in keeping the app up-to-date, and have even added some new features (e.g. Brainstorm) that are super helpful, and while it offers a variety of pre-made templates to use, you can also make freeform maps and structure them however you want, and save your own custom templates for later. I use it for character development, story brainstorming, plotting/structure, keeping track of tasks and deadlines for school etc. The fact that it can sync with OneDrive or other cloud services and export to a variety of file types is also super valuable to me.

**What do you dislike about SimpleMind?**

Purchasing the Pro version doesn't get you the upgrade across all platforms -- if you purchase it for iOS, you still have to pay for it on Windows (and vice versa). A lot of programs work this way, and to be fair, I rarely miss it on PC (I prefer mindmapping with a touchscreen device), and the iOS version is significantly cheaper than the Windows version, so it's not necessarily a big deal if you only need to use it on one platform -- just something to be aware when considering the upgrade from free/trial to Pro.

**What problems is SimpleMind solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helped me organize my thoughts visually and see how my various random thoughts connect to each other (in the case of character/story development), and helped me break down my to-do list into manageable chunks (I can even mark what percentage of a task I've done and mark a deadline if I want, and link between maps if I want to have separate ones for each task, quickly get from a cast list to a specific character's psychological profile etc.).

  ### 7. SimpleMind Is A Great Mind Mapping Visualizer Tool!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian John S. | Clarity Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2021

**What do you like best about SimpleMind?**

Many options to create visually appealing mind maps.

**What do you dislike about SimpleMind?**

Some options to integrate other standard chart visual elements are not available.

**Recommendations to others considering SimpleMind:**

I extensively used SimpleMind to create visually appealing mind maps for my Master's Dissertation. It's a wonderful tool to create all sorts of visually appealing mind maps. I recommend creating mind maps with different colors with respect to the level of the mind map.

**What problems is SimpleMind solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 8. Flexible Mind Mapping at its Best.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Frank F. | Sr Illustrator and Game Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2020

**What do you like best about SimpleMind?**

This software does not restrict you to any way of creating a mind map, there are traditional templates but if you choose the free form layout you can create it whichever way you like.

**What do you dislike about SimpleMind?**

I don't like the colour schemes and the template colours, they need better art direction to get their icons and themes colours up to scratch. I use MindMaster when I need good looking flow charts and also things like fishbones and circular mindmaps, which Simplemind lacks.

**What problems is SimpleMind solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its been a lifesaver when it comes to mind mapping academic research, ideation and seeing the bigger picture.

  ### 9. For Real Mind Mapping

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohsin A. | Co-Founder, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2020

**What do you like best about SimpleMind?**

It has more layout options and an excellent mobile app for Android, which I am using on my cell phone since 2013. I have initially started using to gather my thoughts when planning to start my own consultancy. I used it to create sitemaps, mind maps, actin tasks, and share it with my team.

**What do you dislike about SimpleMind?**

You can't save your custom templates easily, every time you have to struggle to create a layout as you want.

**What problems is SimpleMind solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Everything from my business notes, personal notes, mentoring notes, and opportunity maps for challenges and opportunities in the startup world.

  ### 10. Indispensible tool for preparing presentations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2019

**What do you like best about SimpleMind?**

SimpleMind is intuitive in its simplest use case. It has plenty of advanced features, but unlike MS Word they are invisible until used. A great tutorial and help site binds it all together. This is how software/apps should be developed.

**What do you dislike about SimpleMind?**

Like many touch-enabled apps, certain functionality is less discoverable - like doing a long press to enable multiple-selection (this is needed to relocate an entire region of the mindmap at once). But the help site certainly helped me through this.

**What problems is SimpleMind solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Preparing presentations, organizing tasks. I've come to like its 2-D approach far more than list-oriented things, including outlining tools. Keeping the ordering step separate from the brain-storming step is the AHA moment you'll have if you use this.

  ### 11. I have already recommended this excellent program to friends, family and colleagues.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roy B. | Courier, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2019

**What do you like best about SimpleMind?**

The program is intuitive. It has an extensive tutorial which comes in handy after you've figured out the stuff you need to get going. It's got tons of options. But best of all, it has so many different practical applications. I am an aggressive course taker and reader. It's obviously an excellent notetaking device. I also use it for project planning, goal setting, and scheduling.

**What do you dislike about SimpleMind?**

You have to pay for every device you add it to if you use one drive as your storage. Other than that holy cow. It's virtually perfect.

**Recommendations to others considering SimpleMind:**

Try the free version briefly to get a feel for it but jump into the paid version soon. It's an excellent program worth more than its very modest price. You can read the tutorial (which is very well written) but you can actually just jump right in and discover most of what you need if not all, to run the program very effectively. This is one of the programs I use every day. Can't say enough positive about this.

**What problems is SimpleMind solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm a blogger. I read probably 50 to a hundred articles every couple of days. Simplemind keeps my notes in order. It allows me to expand on notes, easily tucking them in where they make the most sense. This is a highly visual interface, so it helps you to literally see what you are thinking about.
