**What do you like best about SimLight?**

What stands out most about SimLight is how quickly you can get up and running. Deployment takes just minutes, with no complex setup required. The ability to simulate real-world attack techniques—like credential dumping, lateral movement, and data exfiltration—gives our security team real visibility into gaps we didn’t even know existed. The MITRE-aligned reports are especially helpful; rather than generic alerts, we receive actionable recommendations that we can apply immediately. It also runs continuously in the background without disrupting day-to-day operations, so we’re always validating our defenses instead of relying only on scheduled tests. For teams operating under Saudi cybersecurity regulations, the built-in compliance support for Sigma rule validation is a major time-saver.

**What do you dislike about SimLight?**

Honestly, it’s difficult to find anything to dislike. If I had to point to one thing, I’d say I wish the platform offered even more pre-built threat scenarios to choose from—not because the current library falls short, but because the simulations are so useful that you quickly find yourself wanting more. The tool runs so smoothly that the only real request I’m left with is for additional features that build on an already strong foundation.

**What problems is SimLight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before SimLight, we didn’t have a reliable way to confirm whether our security controls were truly working until a real incident happened. SimLight changes that by continuously simulating real-world attacks, allowing us to spot and close detection gaps before they turn into actual breaches. It has noticeably strengthened our SOC team’s readiness; they respond faster and with more confidence because they’ve already seen and practiced against realistic threat scenarios. The automated MITRE-aligned reports also save us hours of manual effort and give management clear visibility into our security posture without requiring deep technical expertise. Overall, SimLight has helped us move from a reactive security approach to a proactive one.
