Difficult to complain about this solution as it is quite mature now and adds new features all the time. If I were to find something, it would be the ability to cap a clients IP usage, as I prefer to not to hit them with surprises, and secondly the scheduler only allows 12 months infront, it would be nice to be able to set and forget. I find the deployment process for vPenTest cumbersome, especially for multi-site clients with multiple Local Area Networks (LANs). This complexity can be a significant hurdle, as it involves managing numerous networks across various locations. Although it’s recognized as part of the product's nature and the environment in which it operates, this aspect could benefit from improvement. Specifically, having a method to swiftly deploy virtual machines (VMs) to each site could alleviate the challenges associated with setting up dedicated servers on hosts, streamlining the deployment process and minimizing the workload. I find the terminology used in vPenTest sometimes confusing, especially for clients who are not well-versed in technical language. What I like best about vPenTest is that not only has it eliminated the manual section of penetration testing, but it has also isolated the test type which makes the use of it much easier to work with. I use it all of the time while I'm testing new products or updating and maintaining current and existing products. Their customer support is relatively challenging to get ahold of, however once you do get ahold of them, they will assist you with whatever it is that you need help with. What I like best about vPenTest is how easy and fast it is to deploy penetration tests across multiple clients. As an MSP, scalability is critical, and vPenTest allows us to schedule recurring tests (monthly or quarterly) with just a few clicks. The reports are detailed yet easy for clients to understand, and the white-labeling option lets us present them under our own brand. What I dislike is that vPenTest is still a fully automated solution. While it’s excellent for routine testing and catching common misconfigurations, it doesn’t fully replace the creativity of a human pentester. For more complex or high-risk environments, we still need to complement it with manual testing.
