Although some settings are available for us to select at each and every stage, it is thrilling to wakefully understand the workflow and then assigning the settings one by one to achieve a proper model setup. Even though this may look time consuming, it is a plus point to understand at a deeper level consciously. **What do you dislike about Simcenter STAR-CCM+?** It takes a lot of time to setup a model at the starting stage, by diving into the interface and then understanding it. Sometimes, we even can select completely irrelevant settings for a particular problem which are not compatible or not applicable for a particular problem. For Example, we can select a separate region by providing a different solver scheme such as SIMPLE method, while we assign a different scheme such as COUPLED for a different region. It is perfect for the iterative design of products where you need to know it's aerodynamic characteristics such as drag force of downforce. **What do you dislike about Simcenter STAR-CCM+?** Unfortunately, there is no undo button. The post processing of the simulation also allows you to instantly visualize the simulations and calculate the values you need. There are a lot of resources on how to run simulations - I was even able to find documents of running supersonic and hypersonic simulations. **What do you dislike about Simcenter STAR-CCM+?** Importing of CAD generated by other software can be a little clunky at times, especially if the geometry is complicated. A lot of manual cleanup work is required before the CAD can be used successfully. **Recommendations to others considering Simcenter STAR-CCM+:** If cost is not a concern, definitely consider using STAR-CCM+. The licenses are rather expensive and you will need one for every user to use the user interface and also one for every ongoing simulation. **What problems is Simcenter STAR-CCM+ solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are trying to find the aerodynamic properties of the design of our vehicles. It has all the modules available for CAD, surface preparation, Meshing to a solution with solvers which can solve simple flow problems to complex simulations. Overall its a single package for performing computational fluid dynamics simulations. **What do you dislike about Simcenter STAR-CCM+?** Penetration in academia is little less which makes it difficult to find students with good knowledge of STAR-CCM+. **Recommendations to others considering Simcenter STAR-CCM+:** I would definitly recommend this software **What problems is Simcenter STAR-CCM+ solving and how is that benefiting you?** Worked on projects for a automotive industry and it seamlessly connection from CAD to the solution is really seamless and beneficial.
