Entirely native withing salesforce **What do you dislike about Silverline CalendarAnything?** Not much. Our needs do require some hands on support from silverline but this was expected. **What problems is Silverline CalendarAnything solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed to link to external calendars to confirm meetings and book project work. Our customers had multiple formats so we needed a flexible tool that could connect with multiple web calendars including the ability to consume ical links. ### 2. It can be pretty difficult to set up at first and is costly. **What problems is Silverline CalendarAnything solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm able to organize all the things I have to do in my life in one place and this has taught me how to be more tech savvy. ### 3. The ability to easily drag and drop on it's interface saved me tons of time. Finally, the ability to overlay with other calendars made this tool a very simple integration. **What do you dislike about Silverline CalendarAnything?** The only thing I didn't like was the pricing. Make sure your team really uses this product to justify the cost. If you go through proper implementation, it should be a no brainer. We initially had a hard time getting a hold of our sales rep, but got it squared away pretty quickly. **Recommendations to others considering Silverline CalendarAnything:** Use the free trial and see if it works for you. Thats what we did and it was very helpful in getting executive buy-in. **What problems is Silverline CalendarAnything solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were able to solve the problem of integrating calendars and creating reminders for SFDC events. ### 4. It's also great to be able to color code different categories. It was a great way to put campaigns into a digestible view for other departments to see what we were doing. We didn't use it for other objects, but it was awesome that you could use it to see Opportunities closing, or other custom objects via date as well. I always wanted to scale it out to that but didn't get there before leaving the company I was with at the time. **What do you dislike about Silverline CalendarAnything?** The printing feature. I haven't used this app in a while, but it was always difficult to print. I wished it would have printed like it looked on the screen. **Recommendations to others considering Silverline CalendarAnything:** It's a great tool that puts your records into a calendar view to be able to analyze data. It's a great Salesforce appexchange tool to use. **What problems is Silverline CalendarAnything solving and how is that benefiting you?** Visibility to marketing campaigns for other departments. This also helped us in marketing plan our campaigns. You could drag and drop them around to changed the start and end dates without having to go into the record. It made planning and updating campaigns a lot more efficient. ### 8. It effectively replicates many of the standard UI elements native to Salesforce and creates an effective, intuitive and feature-rich calendar interface. **What do you dislike about Silverline CalendarAnything?** This application has a slew of configuration that can be achieved through customized extensions in visualforce, however it's poorly documented and incomplete. An implementation I was a part of required working directly with the product contact at Silverline to achieve the functionality I needed. It was all possible, but not intuitive and not fully documented. **What problems is Silverline CalendarAnything solving and how is that benefiting you?** I implemented this tool to provide timeline view capability for demand management of order backlog in a manufacturing environment. I also implemented it for scheduling software product demos in a cold calling environment. ### 10. It allows easy calendar visualization of just about any data in Salesforce, supports both standard and custom objects and is packed full of features like custom filters, conditional coloring, dynamic calendars, printing, sharing and exposing to the web. The UI is very intuitive and is similar to Google Calendars. It is very simple to admin as well. With the latest release (Winter '13 at the time of this writing), the feature set has doubled over Spring '12. They're constantly adding new features based on the requests of their customers and prospects. **What do you dislike about Silverline CalendarAnything?** It carries a nominal fee, which means it's only worth it if you can justify spending money. Otherwise, other less powerful but free apps might do. **Recommendations to others considering Silverline CalendarAnything:** If you have a need to visualize Salesforce data as a calendar, for instance, marketing campaigns, case management, customer service, or sales lifecycle, CalendarAnything is worth a look. It's flexible enough to meet most use cases, whether within the sales or service cloud, or for a custom app. Installation and config is a breeze, and you'll be up and running in no time. Also, support is very prompt and helpful if you have questions. ### 13. Better yet, you can then add your appointments, holidays, and anything else that has a date in salesforce. It's name says it all .. Calendar Anything. **What do you dislike about Silverline CalendarAnything?** The price, right now, seems to be the only part that I don't like yet. The concept is great, and I being a visual world today, this is great, but I just don't see the ROI just yet. The reason for me only giving it a 8 is due to the price. **Recommendations to others considering Silverline CalendarAnything:** Try out the 15 day free trial and see how powerful this can really be ..
