The Silkline team is also responsive in addressing any issues or ingesting feature requests, and they were able to easily migrate our data from our previous supply chain software. **What do you dislike about Silkline?** As Silkline is still a newer product, it lacks some of the features that you may find in more mature platforms. That being said, the Silkline team is frequently shipping new features and is sensitive to business-critical needs when considering new features. **What problems is Silkline solving and how is that benefiting you?** Silkline is streamline the procurement process so our team can focus on more involved challenges. Quote responses are automatically scanned and relevant fields are populated. Side-by-side comparison of quotes makes PO award selection simple Relatively easy supplier adoption - communication happens via email without the need for a supplier portal, so nearly all suppliers have no issue accessing and viewing RFQs and POs Quick (and useful) development implementations and bug fixes - sometimes within minutes Intuitive UI and learning curve **What do you dislike about Silkline?** Advanced Purchasing - No functionality to handle more complicated purchasing scenarios, like blanket POs Open order management - there is room for improvement in the workflow to manage and track open orders **What problems is Silkline solving and how is that benefiting you?** Easy, consistent, and clear communication with suppliers without requiring a supplier portal. Silkline has been huge for my team in reducing duplicate data entry, and reducing errors. The Silkline team has been amazing at customizing integrations and workflows so that we can do our jobs effectively throughout the entire procurement process. Their customer service is unparalleled. **What do you dislike about Silkline?** Silkline is a great product with tons of potential. As an early company there are feature that are still being built out, but overall they are moving very quickly and already offer a ton of value added capabilities. **What problems is Silkline solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is hard to think of them all, - Converting quotes directly to POs. - managing RFQs for multiple vendors, it makes it simple to get as many quotes as you need and manages the information flow so you can easily work with team members on it. - Supplier check-ins - it automatically pulls open PO line items so you can send out a status email in seconds. No more pulling report and copy and pasting into emails. - Silkline is able to automatically track OTD and OTD to updated estimates allowing you to get additional data easily for supplier scorecards. - Silkline offers multiple workflow so you can manage direct and indirect purchasing in one portal - approvals are very intuitive in Silkline it is easy for the approver to actually get all the info in one place, automatically see the quotes and any other associated documents. ### 4. The Silkline team truly listens to the needs of your team from high level managerial views, to nit picky personal preferences, and provides solutions in a matter of days. Punching support tickets and hoping for a fix on the next "annual update" is a thing of the past. In addition, the platform is incredibly user friendly for all levels of "tech savvy", and onboarding is painless. **What do you dislike about Silkline?** I'm just typing words to meet the minimum character requirement, I couldn't be happier! **What problems is Silkline solving and how is that benefiting you?** Supplier management/controls, supplier communication, quote capture/decision making, order management. This is essentially our entire workflow as an intermediary. Without Silkline, our systems would be manual, tedious and a jig saw puzzle of different software's integrating (and stumbling) to solve the same problem. ### 5. It integrated seamlessly with our ERP system, and is a huge asset to our procurement operations. We use it every day to send and track quote requests to multiple suppliers, handle internal requisitions and approval, track supplier OTD and quality statistics, and order administration (acknowledgements, confirmations, and check-ins.) The ability to track suppliers' capabilities, documentation, audits, etc. while also having access to KPIs like responsiveness, bidding rate, win rate, etc. make establishing or creating a supply base from scratch increasbly easy. Being able to integrate this into your existing ERP and working with the the team on any fixes or features is easy through the team's responsiveness. We use it everyday. **What do you dislike about Silkline?** Any new company or product is going to be missing features, however the team is quick to add, fix, or implement their own set of fixes. The most difficult part will be the amount of times you need to rewrite your own internal procedures because they move so fast. **What problems is Silkline solving and how is that benefiting you?** Silkline solves the issues that many ERP systems have: they're not fit for the day to day activities of a supply chain that operates quickly. ### 7. Once a vendor replies with a quote, it then does all the work of importing cost and lead times. From there, it's simple to easily cut and send a PO! I also love that I can see when a vendor has viewed messages. The ION integration is also seamless and fantastic. **What do you dislike about Silkline?** Silkline continues to grow and build out many of our requested features - there are truly no downsides to it! **What problems is Silkline solving and how is that benefiting you?** Silkline is reducing the amount of time spent on each effort, and putting all the information in one place in a way that is super beneficial for both buyers and suppliers. The ease of use and consistent communication with the team makes it very easy for us to get our jobs done as efficiently as possible. We are in the system all day everyday and the ability to send out RFQs and track our jobs quickly makes our lives so easy. **What do you dislike about Silkline?** The API integration could be better, as we are a broker and not the typical client, there are many reports and things that we would love to build and dont expect Silkline to necessarily have made and ready for us but the API is a little more clunky and complicated than most. **What problems is Silkline solving and how is that benefiting you?** Speed and efficiency are the names of the game in this industry.
