"Input Tables and Actions Turn Sigma into a Powerful Operational Platform"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Sigma?

Sigma's Input Tables and Actions are some of the most valuable features for our organization. They allow us to create interactive workflows that write directly back to Snowflake, transforming Sigma from a dashboarding tool into a platform for operational applications. Instead of managing processes in spreadsheets or separate systems, users can work directly with live data and take action within the same interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sigma?

While Sigma covers most of our reporting and workflow needs, I would like to see additional visualization options and greater customization for charts. There are times when a specific visual would communicate insights more effectively, but the available chart types can be somewhat limiting. Similarly, some of the more advanced calculations and functions have a learning curve. Sigma's newer AI-assisted capabilities appear promising for helping users create formulas more easily, although I haven't had the opportunity to use those features yet. "Fast, Easy to Use, and Backed by Stellar Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Sigma?

I really like the performance and how easy it is to use. It provides a solid, scalable architecture that can grow with our needs. The support we've received has also been stellar. They take our feedback seriously and help us find solutions. They are constantly launching new features and doing some fantastic things with AI capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sigma?

Sigma can be almost too flexible. There are often multiple ways to accomplish the same task, and it takes time to understand the trade-offs of each approach—especially once you start chaining them together. A lot of the overall experience depends on how your environment is architected and administered. Sigma's support team helps as much as they can, but if you have a unique architecture (one that's been challenging in other BI tools too), getting everything working smoothly can still take effort. There are also a few smaller gaps, such as Tableau's manual grouping and certain visual types, that users coming from other tools may miss. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Sigma Makes Snowflake Analytics Easy with a Spreadsheet-Like, Collaborative Interface"
5/5
What do you like best about Sigma?

Sigma combines the familiarity of a spreadsheet with the power of an enterprise analytics platform, making it easy for both technical and non-technical users to work with data. The seamless integration with Snowflake allows us to analyze large datasets without having to move or duplicate data, while the self-service capabilities enable business users to create reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses with minimal IT support. Sigma's collaborative features, intuitive interface, strong governance controls, and ability to deliver both detailed operational reporting and executive-level insights have made it a valuable tool for actuarial reporting and data analytics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sigma?

While Sigma is a powerful platform, some advanced reporting and visualization requirements may require additional configuration or a deeper understanding of the tool. Users transitioning from highly specialized BI platforms may find certain advanced visualization capabilities less extensive than dedicated dashboarding tools. However, these limitations have generally been outweighed by Sigma's ease of use, flexibility, and strong integration with Snowflake, making it an effective solution for most reporting and analytical needs. "Sigma: Simplifies Financial Data Management"
4/5
What do you like best about Sigma?

I like how Sigma automates what used to be manual tasks, transforming external Excel work into a comprehensive and single source of truth. I appreciate the direct access it provides to our data lake and how it manages write-back forms and budget management with ease. It stands out as a financial BI tool that allows me to cut and slice data effectively. I find its general UI straightforward once I learned it and enjoy the accessibility it offers. The MCP connection is a key feature for me, enabling efficient data reporting and storage in a more private location. The initial setup was very easy too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sigma?

Some of the visuals feel too simplistic. Even though I can use custom plug-ins, I dont feel it offers the same level of polish as a first part visualization UI and I wish it was more expanded of a visualization offering. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Empowers Data Accessibility and User-Driven Insights"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Sigma?

I use Sigma to generate daily reports for portfolio management and large dataset analysis. I like its ability to connect users to data and leverage data in Snowflake easily. The translation into Excel is really helpful since it allows users with little SQL experience to be powerful enough to create reports. I also appreciate how we can handle millions of rows of data, which really expands what's possible compared to Excel. This functionality empowers users and creates a positive feedback loop for higher adoption and better analysis across the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sigma?

I think they have some improvements needed for formatting final reports that need to look good both printed out on a piece of paper and on a screen. Also, some weak graphing capabilities. I would like better maps and more ease in stratifying line/bar graphs, but overall these things are overcome-able. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
