The banner image at the top of your profile can be changed, but your company admins might have turned this feature off. You can reach out to them through the Support form in the three-dot menu on the nav bar to learn more and see if this can be used again. As for the UX of a Search result to the Org Chart, we had opted to have the profile pop-up in another tab. While it's a little frustrating to go back to the Search results page by using the native browser buttons, you can click the search bar in the nav bar to see your most recent searched item, but it won't have saved any filters you might have applied.
