Quite satisfied with my choice of SheerSEO. They are fairly bare bones without alot of the in-depth data portions (at least that I could find or understand) but that is good for a non-seo expert business owner like me. the system is responsive and updates on a high frequency. the one time i asked a quest of Customer support they had a response within 24 hours. Honestly the only thing that is a problem, and I think this is normal across all SEO systems, is that the verbiage used is sometimes not understandable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The single best part of using SheerSEO is how quickly it is to get started. You do not have to know a ton about SEO as the basics will do. You can go right to a page by page audit to see how your site pages are performing and what SEO changes you need to make. My favorite part of SheerSEO is the keyword research tool. It's one of the best I have found, even better than SurferSEO. It's very good for gray niches. You can also research your competitor's keywords as well. The link checker is great and will give your backlinks a score and tell you why the links may be toxic. What I like the best about SheerSEO is that all their backlinks data are coming from Majestic.

They (Majestic) have the best data when it comes to backlinks.

But their subscription is pretty expensive, so I'm happy to have an all-in-one in SheerSEO.

The Keyword Explorer tool. They have a lot of data, but there is a lack of one functionality: the possibility to see the search engine results and their referring domains, trust flow, citation flow, etc.

SheerSEO really packs a punch when it comes to streamlining SEO efforts. I've been juggling keyword tracking and backlink analysis with separate tools for ages, and this platform brings it all under one roof. The dashboard is user-friendly and the backlinks are pretty accurate. The CEO is also quite responsive via email and to feedback when I've had concerns, which is nice. When I first came to SheerSEO, I thought it would be a budget version of SemRush or Ahrefs, with far fewer options and less reliable, but clearly, I was wrong. In many sections, it has nothing to envy either of them, and the best thing is that it does it at a small fraction of the cost of the other two.

I bought SheerSEO to use with less important clients, but now I use it with my projects.

For some clients in Spanish, the database is still short, and I'm confident it will be fixed soon. But in English, their database is extensive and very helpful, and the estimated search, competition, and click-through figures align with reality compared to other keyword research tools. Their keyword Gap tool is fantastic too, and super helpful, although I would love that instead of 3 competitors, they would allow you to enter five as in other devices.

It also allows tracking keywords at a better price than other platforms and in greater quantity.

Their SEO report is very helpful and helped me identify problems that Ahrefs, for example, still needs to find. This has been very surprising for me!

And finally, your backlink tool has been very helpful in identifying some toxic links that I didn't even know I had, and now I can act accordingly.

So if, when reading this review, you thought that SheerSEO is just another tool and that it is below other options, the answer is NO. It is an excellent option for people starting in the SEO world. Still, it goes beyond that and can be very useful for more experienced people or agencies who need to lower their bills and optimize costs.

The Spanish keyword database is currently short. But I trust the team who told me this would change very soon. And I trust them for the way and speed with which they respond to our requests when a problem appears. So glad to have a team as involved in their product as they are. We use a lot of different SEO tools for different purposes based on results and user interface. What we like most about SheerSEO is the ability to identify 'toxic' backlinks. These backlinks negatively affect our standing with Google. With other tools we have to run the report then filter. SheerSEO already has this built in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When checking backlinks, it would be nice to know if the site is offline. When reviewing the backlink report, we would manually click on each link to verify. To be fair, we would do this with other SEO reporting tools as well. It would be nice if there were a symbol noting that the page is no longer available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
