Offered on a best-of-breed basis, SharpeSoft provides integrated tools for labor and equipment costing, contractor management, bid management, proposal generator and more. SharpeSoft Estimator allows contractors to send bidding invitations to material suppliers and subcontractors, accept and shortlist bids received. The 'Item Master' allows businesses to save subcontractor details, compare bid proposals, group projects and more. Users can also automate the request-for-quote (RFQ) process, manage vendor bid pricing, calculate and load utility trench material quantities, and prorate costs to bid items. ## SharpeSoft Estimator Reviews ### 1. William was awesome. We’re looking forward to implementing a lot of William's ideas into our current bidding procedures. We went over everything that we had questions about, and William went above and beyond what we were prepared for. We really are not utilizing the Estimator program to its full potential, but we are working toward that goal. **What do you dislike about SharpeSoft Estimator?** One of the only things that I did not understand about the SharpeSoft Estimator software is the lack of an undo button. It was explained to us and it is our understanding that this is because the system is dynamioc and the changes happen in real time, and with multiple users. For instance, if you were to try and undo your own last function you may end up undoing someone elses last function instead. **What problems is SharpeSoft Estimator solving and how is that benefiting you?** There are many things that SharpeSoft Estimatore is helping us out with. If I were to have to put my finger on one, I think that the most important thing that we benefit the most from is the ability to clearly capture our costs easily and efficiently. SharpeSoft Estimator offers many reports, and they are available in a wide variety with many options. ### 2. What I like best about SharpeSoft is the way the sales and technical team make the start up process extremely easy. They provide top tier training and support to get the program that fits you best. It's a not a one size fits all program. The integration process from our old program to Sharpe was easy. We had estimators bidding work with it the day we completed the set up process. Another great feature are the reports that Sharpe provides from your estimate. You are able to print just about any report needed. It makes bid reviews easy, and provides us with exactly what is in the bid. **What do you dislike about SharpeSoft Estimator?** In my opinion, there is nothing to dislike about Sharpe. Most times when I think I am having an issue with something, I reach out to Sharpe and realize that it's something that I have done wrong and the program is performing as it should. **What problems is SharpeSoft Estimator solving and how is that benefiting you?** We went from utilizing excel for all bids to using sharpe. Sharpe has organized our bids to be in one location and not just saved on an individuals computer. We are able to collaborate and allow more than one estimator to bid the same job at the same time, not having to send the excel doc to a different estimator to complete their portion of the bid. It has allowed us to focus on our costs, building detailed estimates and knowing we have all items covered within our bid. ### 3. I don't even take advantage of all the options this program has to offer. The already stored sample data help us understand the purpose of the fields used and the source from where the data is being pulled. **What do you dislike about SharpeSoft Estimator?** The cost is the primary factor that makes the person think about whether or not to pay when it comes to annual maintenance costs. Also, the Item data field limits should be increased. **What problems is SharpeSoft Estimator solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has benefitted significantly, mainly to do the estimates very quickly and easily and allowing quick prints as well. I tried to solve the problem of existing presets but couldn't change it from the user level. ### 7. It makes it much easier to meet my deadlines because of the ease of use this program has. **What do you dislike about SharpeSoft Estimator?** What I found to be the thing I disliked the most about Sharpesoft Estimator is that there was no area for diary/timecard tracking against estimated/budgeted costs. **What problems is SharpeSoft Estimator solving and how is that benefiting you?** The business problem that I am solving or trying to solve with Sharpesoft Estimator is be more productive. I had been taking too long to put bids together and this program has made putting bids together quicking. You have the ability to re-use items from previous bids, which saves so much time. ### 8. It was by no means exactly correct but it got the job done. **What do you dislike about SharpeSoft Estimator?** I was not the biggest fan of the UI design to be quite honest. It was hard to navigate the software and made it a bit more difficult to know what was going on. **What problems is SharpeSoft Estimator solving and how is that benefiting you?** This program is really helping me estimate the infrastructural and developmental costs that only myself and some accomplices should and would be privy to.
