They have a great general communication style and are always willing to try things out, delivering what we have in mind even with complex briefs. Their timing is right on target for most projects, and they communicate well if there are delays. I appreciate their willingness to come and visit us on-site for regular check-ins and reviews. When our server was struggling under live game load the answer wasn't to throw hardware at it — Shaligram found a database locking issue in the code and fixed it properly. Same approach with scoreboard detection — they replaced an API-based solution taking 4–5 seconds per capture with on-device OCR running in milliseconds. The product feels completely different because of our business and their technical decisions like that. Beyond the technical work, they also brought in a ton of development discipline, we always know what's being built, what's next, and what's at risk. Homestream lets sports fans watch games on TV while listening to perfectly synced hometown radio commentary through their phone. The technical challenge is real — audio sync, live data integration, on-device scoreboard detection, infrastructure that holds up during live games when thousands of things are happening at once. Shaligram owns the entire engineering effort: mobile app, backend, real-time sync engine, AI pipeline, cloud infrastructure. When we came in with a 35 second audio lag, they brought it down to 3–4 seconds. Infrastructure costs dropped by 70%. The server now runs stable through live games. They always have the right expert to assign to our team, which has helped us tackle every need we've had. This has saved us a lot of time and headaches, as they already have the necessary individuals in house. Communication is another strong point; they have a representative we can call anytime, which has streamlined the entire process of communicating with our development team and getting tasks assigned and delivered. There’s a few small things. sometimes updates came later than i hoped, and i wished for a bit more written notes after calls so we could track changes. also a couple features needed an extra tweak after launch. none of it was a deal breaker, just small bumps that got fixed when i raised them. Our tools were slow, info was all over the place, and clients kept calling for simple things. shaligram rebuilt parts of our .apk, moved services to the cloud so things run faster, and added ai to organize documents and route requests. now clients get answers quicker, our team wastes less time on manual work, and uptime is better so we don’t lose business when a server goes down. that saved us time and cut stress during busy weeks.
