The dashboard has great tools for remotely commanding endpoints. Since implementing we have not had a *real malware attack, and thanks to the dashboard, we can tell its done its job in protection. They have a great support team to help with issues along the way, unfortunately you will more than likely need to reach out often. **What do you dislike about SentinelOne Singularity Endpoint?** When we first implemented SentinelOne, there was a faux malware attack spreading through out our network. Thanks to their great support, we resolved it to being an old AV software fighting sentinel one. However in that time we got Thousands of email notifications and even more popups for the end user system. The software did not give any useful information other than the raw name it found. The dashboard, while good looking, is riddled with menus and sub menus, all using proprietary terminology that makes it difficult to understand right away. The installation process is quick, once you navigate 7-8 layers of menus to get the correct information to do so. I would like to see a more "straight forward" menu system that has less sub-menu and vague terminology. **Recommendations to others considering SentinelOne Singularity Endpoint:** Be Aware this software is geared towards the advanced administrator who want total control of their network and security. It will also likely take a large initial time investment to become familiar with the dashboard and SentinelOne's terminology. and even after that, they have made major changes to their layout, causing more time investment to re-learn. SentinelOne has made a good attempt at this, and it has helped with showing clients a report that their network is secure. ### 11. The in-depth analysis and path tracing is a great tool to use to find root causes. Ranger is helping us to identify rogue/shadow IT machines that sites were hiding from corporate policy. The software vulnerability tool has helped us to find a wide variety of 3rd party applications that needed patching. We also use the Vigilance service to proactively monitor our portal which gives me more time to work on the issues that matter. **What do you dislike about SentinelOne Singularity Endpoint?** Could use some better, more in depth reporting. The executive overviews are good, but not for my needs. For ranger, I wish there was a way to whitelist machines being detected, and allow specific vendors as trusted sources that we cannot install on. Client Updates are not an auto roll-out option. Going between version requires manual push from the console. I have yet to receive a call about S1 hogging resources. 7) Powerful Day-0 protection. We have created custom scripts to run against installed agents and they have blocked everything that we have thrown at them. Coming from environments that have used McAfee, Cisco AMP, Bitdefender, Kaspersky, and Crowdstrike, S1 beats them all in almost every category. And it can be customizable with wide range of charts. Ability to create groups to effectively group endpoints by scopes and loaded with it's set of workflow for scan and mitigation. The user experience is pretty transparent. Thanks to the ability to leverage on our Filewave MDM solution to push down the package. The user interface is incredibly intuitive and doesn't require much training to understand how to navigate. The account managers are "customer first" focused and the organization is a true pleasure to work with. **What do you dislike about SentinelOne Singularity Endpoint?** Customer support response times used to take a while but now that they have added more staff it is so much better now. False positive rate initially was high but you have to understand the need to tune based on behaviors and it is not like traditional AV so it takes a little more effort to make sure you tune out false positives. **What problems is SentinelOne Singularity Endpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?** With malware evolving daily it's impossible for signature based anti-virus solutions to trigger on malware never seen before. Existing malware can be slightly altered, even with a single letter/number, and change the hash value. That hash value is something never seen before and can easily bypass signature based anti-virus. Where SentinelOne thrives is identifying the abnormal behaviors of malware trying to run and stops it in its tracks. ### 15. I'm so impressed by the capabilities of the core product as well as the Ranger product. Ask Carbon Black about the additional modules and pricing. Also ask them about the support. They only provide their best support for the big companies. Smaller companies like mine don't get the best support. That played a key role in picking SentinelOne. **What problems is SentinelOne Singularity Endpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?** Stopping a threat of any kind in its tracks was the problem we needed to solve. Once its on your network you let the software do its job, it learns as well which is always great and you don't have to hard write in configuration to make it work. Another great feature is that it notices whats bad quarantines it and deletes it much better than other AV products out there. **What do you dislike about SentinelOne Singularity Endpoint?** There is very little to dislike about Sentinel One, sometime it can be a little to heavy handed on a legitimate software on your estate. **Recommendations to others considering SentinelOne Singularity Endpoint:** If you are considering switching to another AV platform please consider Sentinel One, take it out on a test drive and see how easy it is to implement and for the software to identify errors on your network. **What problems is SentinelOne Singularity Endpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were a two AV network, now that we have one it makes it easier. The configuration and distribution side of things have made implementation of Sentinel One a great product to use. This does first level SOC analyst work automatically using artificial intelligence. We selected SentinelOne is because their strategy is "defense-in-depth." – i.e. the agent does what traditional AV endpoint security solutions used to do, but go further by looking into behaviors and patterns. They provided a good storyline pictorially to see "patient zero" of any threat and how it spread (if it did). They have a number of other good features/options such as IoT discovery, endpoint firewall, and USB controls. Lastly, they integrated well with our product stack via APIs to share intelligence. **What do you dislike about SentinelOne Singularity Endpoint?** They can improve reporting. SentinelOne does take some tweaking out of the box, but it has caught things on users computers that we had no idea were there. Miners, trojans, and other malware are caught at a much better rate with SentinelOne than they were with our past protection. Add to that, there are awesome audit logs so we can track back how the threat entered the network and take steps to address it. You can get really granular in the policies that apply to your organization and block things by hash or file path. This helps make sure even renamed malware will be stopped. **What do you dislike about SentinelOne Singularity Endpoint?** Out of the box, it requires you review a lot of things flagged with suspicious activity. Some of these can be significant (like backup software). So it take some time to configure correctly. That said, it becomes easier after the first few days. Also, if you take the step of creating the setting for a device to disconnect from the network when infected,it can be tough to get it back on when it is clean. The management portal could also use some improvement to manage multiple office sites. Also, assigning rights to additional user account (for management portal access, like an IT team member) could be a little easier. **What problems is SentinelOne Singularity Endpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?** I feel that with SentinelOne, we are finally truly protecting our endpoints. We use other complimentary applications for things like email protection and URL filtering, but I feel that SentinelOne is the most significant security solution we have implemented.
