There is a basic WYSIWYG editor, but this is not fit for the purpose of building modern newsletters. Therefore, this must be done in a separate software package and is not very streamlined. We use it to integrate and talk to Amazon AWS email services saving us thousands of dollars a year on our in-house email marketing. It's easy to update, includes life-time updates and it's massively affordable without monthly subscriptions. **What do you dislike about Sendy?** It has crashed a few times, and while we've always received an email from support, it's typically a point to their forums. But problems have been resolved quickly with a little hunting. There also isn't an API so it's pretty much plug-and-play software. We've spent significant time trying to work around the few coding limitations with ok results. But it took a lot of time. **Recommendations to others considering Sendy:** Sendy does not send your emails. It is a web platform you install on your server for a web interface to send your marketing emails. You need an email service provider to send your emails. We recommend Amazon AWS. It also does not DESIGN your emails. Some people find setting everything up with Amazon's SES service a little intimidating, but there are plenty of videos out there that can walk you through the process. With Amazon SES, the deliverability is excellent! Plus, I can send 10k emails for only a dollar! No one else even comes close when it comes to pricing. **What do you dislike about Sendy?** Although you can set up autoresponders with Sendy, it doesn't have the kind of functionality you'll get with some of the larger services in the marketing place. Other considerations are ease of implementation, configuration and maintenance. Creating templates (copy-pasting HTML code), maintaining lists and campaigns is also not too difficult. **What do you dislike about Sendy?** The interface - I wish the dashboard and other interfaces were a bit more user-friendly to use. It takes some time to get used to the interface. Also, more of a wish-list perhaps given the cost, however, an interface to check email rendering with different email applications would have helped a lot to remain on a single system than using a separate system just for the purpose. **Recommendations to others considering Sendy:** For early days of your organisation, if you are looking to manage your subscribers list automatically (including unsubscribe, etc), go for Sendy. **What problems is Sendy solving and how is that benefiting you?** Mostly this was being used to send campaigns and newsletters to subscribers. In our initial phases, when we were bootstrapping and wanted good returns for every buck spent, Sendy came as a good tool achieving the purpose along with AWS SES. It did fulfill it's utility in the initial growth phase when we were able to make a cost-effective solution to our immediate problem of being connected to our user-base and apprising them of our promos and offers from time to time. With it's basic analytics regarding unsubscribing and delivery, it also helped us to maintain our domain and IP reputation for email sending. This resulted in increasing our SES email sending capability to be increased to 50k emails per 24 hours with a good per second rate. ### 27.
