The simplicity of the setup, only a couple of lines of code are required for integration and the test can be kicked off from your local IDE to run in parallel on the variety of the devices. Switching from on-premise to cloud execution is only matter of seconds 2. The above point assumes full CI/CD friendliness there is no need to develop any custom integration logic 3. SeeTestClient provides nice "syntax sugar" on top of normal Appium client drivers so routine tasks which require a lot of boilerplate code can be shortened to readable one-liners 4. Possibility to observe/debug running test in the real time 5. We were looking for a cloud-based solution which offers cross-platform mobile device testing, other cloud vendors like AWS Device Farm were not the option due to limitations (our tests relied on native libraries which could not be simply installed on remote machines). Our local device farm had a very limited number of devices and severe performance constraints. Perfect fit for launch existing selenium and mobile tests in cloud. Step-by-step instruction for the setup is clear, it goes smooth and easy. Experitest support team is outstanding! Reporting tool is great (huge amount of app snapshots provides in-depth details of the test flow that is being executed). Considering SeeTest offers infra both for Android and iOs (as well as selenium) - in the end of the day it saves budget, and no more overhead with bunch of physical devices (multiplied by different versions of iOs and Android) and no more overhead with browsers and selenium grid support. We have a division of the whole system as: webUI admin , and mobile hybrid application. So we're obligated to deliver minimal test coverage for admin UI part (for parallel browser execution) and also we're supposed to deliver minimal tets coverage for mobile hybrid app. Reporting in SeeTest makes debugging activities effortless. Tests setup and CI pipeline - is straighforward and easy. Summarizing - SeeTest helped to deliver in time expected automation scope. And worth mentioning here- support of existing tests is great as well. During active execution phases, especially after major application functionali changes -our selenium WebUI and mobile tests have been executed very quickly and due to that- it indeed saved much time, also it helped our QA automation team to debug and do corresponding tests adjustments and also SeeTest many times saved our lives by early bug detection(as soon as we analyzed FAILED test reports). Experitest's support is second to none, and the provided documentation allows us to get up and running in no time. Implementing Android devices and deploying test apps to them is simple with the click of a button. We've even been able to test on 'unsupported' devices such as AndroidTV. There seems to be a heavier focus on Eclipse/IntelliJ vs Visual Studio and C#, which is what we've built our framework in. I think if we were able to invest more time in education around SeeTest, we could be more successful. As for our team specifically, very often we create apps for an older generation and our analytics show that many of them still use older versions of their browsers and devices. Without SeeTest we'd have a much harder time properly coding. Using third party or open source stuff, the new pluggins, software, whatever you need in order to use latest IOS and android versions can take as much as 3-6 months. Experitest provides upgrades to see test cloud BEFORE the general release of the IOS version. For us this is the main driver, forgetting and stop sufering IOS upgrades. Mobile Apps, and the main benefit is the abstraction to operating systems. Prior using experitest we had a lot of problems with IOS and Android upgrades. Always suffering about how long would i take to have a compatible version of software with the last IOS and Android release.
