I am also impressed by the development team's responsiveness to our bug reports and feature requests, including many of them in new releases. **What do you dislike about SciChart?** Onboarding for our developers in implementing the interfaces was a bit of a challenge, but one that was surmountable. It was more expensive than alternatives we were considering, but ultimately we made the decision based on capabilities. **What problems is SciChart solving and how is that benefiting you?** SciChart is solving the challenge of displaying data visually to our space mission customers. It is critical that we be able to showcase processed orbital data in such a way that it is easy to be analyzed quickly and with real-time performance, and SciChart has enabled that for us with significant improvements in capabilities compared to our previous solution. ### 2. I use a 2D chart to display a histogram of a thermography image in real-time. Furthermore, there are a variety of charts with many customization options, so that any data can be presented clearly. Academic licenses are available for free and you always get a quick response from support. **What do you dislike about SciChart?** The price is quite high. I use SciChart for research and presentation of my data. The license is only granted for 6 months and it is not easy to obtain/extend it. My project is long-term and progress is rather slow. When requesting an extension of the license, everything about the project must be described again, which takes time. That obtaining the academic license is harder is okay. Only the extension should be easier, especially for a technical university. **What problems is SciChart solving and how is that benefiting you?** Real-time display of the histogram of a thermal image with a frame rate of up to 60 FPS. It comes with fully-featured documentation and loads of examples. Extremely easy and fast to learn, become proficient in no time with little effort. **What do you dislike about SciChart?** While it does provide a great experience, it is a commercial product, and it may appear pricey when compared with open-source alternatives. **What problems is SciChart solving and how is that benefiting you?** We need to present significant amount of data in graphical format to help making sense of it. We have been testing other components (open-source), and some could allow obtaining the required performance. However, these would not fit into our development model, using the MVVM pattern.
