I use a 2D chart to display a histogram of a thermography image in real-time. Furthermore, there are a variety of charts with many customization options, so that any data can be presented clearly. Academic licenses are available for free and you always get a quick response from support. **What do you dislike about SciChart?** The price is quite high. I use SciChart for research and presentation of my data. The license is granted only for 6 months and it is not made easy to obtain/extend it. My project is long-term and the progress is rather slow. When requesting the extension of the license, everything about the project must be described again, which takes time. That obtaining the academic license is harder is OK. Only the extension should be easier, especially as a technical university. **What problems is SciChart solving and how is that benefiting you?** Real-time display of a thermal image histogram with a frame rate of up to 60 FPS. This is easily possible thanks to the performance of SciChart. ### 2. It comes with fully-featured documentation and loads of examples. Extremely easy and fast to learn, become proficient in no time with little effort. **What do you dislike about SciChart?** While it does provide a great experience, it is a commercial product, and it may appear pricey when compared with open-source alternatives. **What problems is SciChart solving and how is that benefiting you?** We need to present significant amount of data in graphical format to help making sense of it. We have been testing other components (open-source), and some could allow obtaining the required performance. However, these would not fit into our development model, using the MVVM pattern. SciChart features a binding-friendly interface, allowing development using MVVM pattern, which is instrumental for short-term quality and long term maintainability. ### 3. It fully leverages the potential of the hardware on the web **What do you dislike about SciChart?** AI chatbot of documentation can be improved. **What problems is SciChart solving and how is that benefiting you?** I needed to draw millions of points in my project, and nothing but SciChart could handle it. Even with a very weak GPU, the performance amazed me. It’s optimized in a truly impressive way. ### 4. Also the team at SciChart offers great support and documentation, which has made it a charm to implement. **What do you dislike about SciChart?** Since its a very large library, it can be overwhelming to navigate all the large set of features SciChart offers. **What problems is SciChart solving and how is that benefiting you?** SciChart is solving the problem of real-time charting.
