Our customizable software provides end-to-end functionality to streamline the school enrollment process (including school choice, recruitment management, application and registration management, and year-round forms) for both families and school administrators. I love the ability to customize so many things to the needs of the various LEA's I work with. **What do you dislike about SchoolMint Enroll?** Customer support is greatly lacking. They have a dedicated troubleshooting team that reponds quickly and can escalate if needed, but if I need specific 1:1 training with an account manager or need to work out details of my contract, it can take months. Turnover among my account reps has been high since SchoolMint took over from SmartChoice. This is the last communication I received in August from my "customer support rep": "Unfortunately, my day is filled with back to back client calls so finding a time to call is difficult." This was on August 9th when I was trying to finalize the details of our contract after receiving notice that the price rate tripled. I still havne't received a call from her or anyone else. They don't even give out their phone numbers. I won't be recommending SchoolMint to any more of my customers. The features are great, but they can be overwhelming for the average user. **What problems is SchoolMint Enroll solving and how is that benefiting you?** Multi-campus admissions. The communication features and data reports have been extremely helpful. This has minimized the workload for our data entry team . **What do you dislike about SchoolMint Enroll?** On our end, we haven't been able to receive the turnout of re-enrollment submitted from families due to log in issues. We've had a team reach out to families to provide support and it has been a bit time consuming. Although, I do not think it is as much as SchoolMint issue, we haven't been able to reach the gratifying experience that we know SchoolMint would be able to provide. **Recommendations to others considering SchoolMint Enroll:** This is a great tool to manage student enrollment and applications. Families can use one profile for current and new students. The support team is extremely friendly and supportive. **What problems is SchoolMint Enroll solving and how is that benefiting you?** SchoolMint has helped us resolve some issues both with our re-enrollment and application launches. They've helped modify some of the features to make it more parent friendly. We do think this have increased our parent engagement since the modifications. ### 4. Whenever I had a question my Implementation Specialist was ready to answer it, and when we had special cases it seemed like the whole team was ready to figure out what would be the best approach to our unique situation. **What do you dislike about SchoolMint Enroll?** There are some features in the site that could work better, but again the team was great at helping us figure out a workaround. Like we needed to have two different lotteries (in-district and out-of-district), so the workaround was to create a "second school" and this allowed us to set up two different lotteries. Another thing was when setting up messages to be sent out later, you cannot go back and edit, so I'm glad we saved templates of emails and we could update that and set it up to send to the later time we wanted. Again none of these things are dealbreakers, but I would love to see them being updated. **What problems is SchoolMint Enroll solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use SchoolMint for our lottery registration, re-enrollment, and new enrollment. It was great to be able to do all these things on one site. ### 6. I pull this data one status at a time and I wish I could pull all this information all at once for our network of 15 schools. - Accounts with Application, we wish to remove some of the accounts but it is not possible. **What problems is SchoolMint Enroll solving and how is that benefiting you?** One of our goals this was to have a faster turn around with registrations. The plan that we had in place before Covid and the place that was placed after I don't it corresponded with our goal. In plan A we were going to use the "Manage Offer Expirations" but because of Covid we felt the need to be more patient with our families was best. ### 7. I also like how you can tracker New Family Orientation attendance/other event attendance as well. **What do you dislike about SchoolMint Enroll?** I wish there was a strong way to track interest so you can better monitor where a family is in the interest pipeline. We needed a system where someone could pull up easily who they needed to be following up with (who they were assigned) and if they had anyone overdue that they needed to contact. **Recommendations to others considering SchoolMint Enroll:** If you are looking for a platform to run your lottery, this is great and the team is very supportive! If you are looking for a place to monitor interest and the interest pipeline, you will want to look for a different product. **What problems is SchoolMint Enroll solving and how is that benefiting you?** We're solving being able to run a lottery and communicate with families during the early stages of enrolling. We have benefitted a lot from being able to schedule messages and also have them set to English and Spanish so families are receiving the message in their preferred language. ### 8. Applications can be created, managed, and reports can be run based on what potential families have said. We can run many reports, like decline/rescind reasons, number of applications, etc. We can also reach out to parents via text message or email through it, and export contacts to Excel sheets. I like that SchoolMint has many features that I continually discover to be very perfect fits for our needs as a school that's trying to move forward and be effective. I wholeheartedly recommend SchoolMint for all schools who haven't been using this application at all. **What do you dislike about SchoolMint Enroll?** I don't dislike anything. For now, I truly believe there's always room for improvement when it comes to student recruitment/enrollment technology. It does take some learning, but it is very worth it. Additionally. the "General Packet" function available for any other registrations your district may need is even more of a spartan offering that barely utilizes features found within New/Returning student registration. SIS integration (PowerSchool for us) is overly convoluted and does not allow for any changes/updates mid-year. This is especially problematic when upgrading to major releases in PowerSchool because each time SchoolMint has been unwilling/unable to help prepare for these upgrades until other unnecessary thresholds have been met on their end during implementation.
