The customer support is very quick to respond and super helpful when they do respond. The idea submission portal for new suggestions has attention and oversight so customer feedback is not being lost in a black hole. We were able to get a couple workflows set up and running very quickly to get some immediate wins. Connecting Savant to our databases was also super easy and straightforward. **What do you dislike about Savant Labs?** The only thing I've run into that I would like to be improved is a container feature on the canvas when building workflows, but I've submitted that to the idea portal and was informed that it's already in the works and will be rolled out in the near future. Soon I will have 0 things I dislike about Savant. **What problems is Savant Labs solving and how is that benefiting you?** As a non-profit we have a lot of different funders and government agencies that we need to report back to on a regular basis. A lot of this often has to be achieved through manual data cleanup, slicing and manipulation via Excel. The application also is easy to use and does not need one to have analytics knowledge to use it. User friendly and I think the best tools currently in market to offer such easy-to-use tools experience. Its ease of integration with a lot of data sources makes it interesting tools compares to others which some have some limitations of data sources to use. Customer support also very friendly and alwys follows up with you if you have any issues when using the software. **What do you dislike about Savant Labs?** So far, none. It was very easy to implement, recreate analyses in Savant that I previously created in Alteryx. Training/customer support provided initially was very thorough, helpful (albeit somewhat fast-paced, which is understandable). I think the UI is great - easier to manipulate tools, view/read data than competitors I've used. Love the AI integration for calculations. I find it easier to connect to data sources/databases in Savant than competing products. It is a really great tool that I think will only improve over time. **What do you dislike about Savant Labs?** - I have sometimes struggled with replacing/updating data sources in analyses. Perhaps it is user error, but I've had issues when replacing files in the 'Data' area and not seeing the new data update in linked analyses (have to delete, unlink data, re-add file to workflow). - I have also had some issues where it seems like every 'tool' was not updating when running an analysis, had to manually click 'analyze' or refresh each tool (again, possibly user/connection error). - It can be difficult to find solutions re: to perform specific tasks (which tools to use in certain scenarios, how to link 'outputs' to databases/outside programs locations i.e. Smartsheet, Tableau, SharePoint) due to a lack of 'community notes'/instructions; I completely understand that is due to Savant being so new, am sure the community will contain more content/troubleshooting in the future. **What problems is Savant Labs solving and how is that benefiting you?** Savant has helped me automate several previously manual finance processes, reducing cycle time from ~16 hours/month to a few minutes in one case. We've also used it fairly often to compare/contrast HR reports to find missing employee information. The ability to pivot/unpivot data in databases (something not available in Tableau) has also been extremely helpful in automating some dashboard reporting. ### 20. We often found we were having to reinvent the wheel every time we integrated a new data source or needed a new way of representing the data. It became difficult to both develop a prototype, customize it, and scale it to meet our business applications. Savant Labs came to our rescue. Their platform provides a very simple interface that allows you to quickly hook up our data streams, clean up our data, conduct operations at scale on our data, and set up a recurring job. Our team could do this with no code! Savant has come up with the only data analytics platform that I know of that allows you to build a data analytics pipeline by simply visualizing the workflow, drag widgets and connect their cables, and click run. I was able to generate reports in a matter of hours, which would normally take me days to build out in SQL. I was able to spend more time focused on the data and insights instead of worrying about optimizing my queries and backend configurations. One area I was able to leverage Savant was providing insight into bottlenecks on addressing customer issues. We had a number of tickets that remained open for an extended period of time. We had hypotheses about where the bottleneck was in closing these issues out, but did not have aggregated data to validate them. We were able to hook up our JIRA ticketing system to Savant, and categorize the time in each stage a ticket was in depending on their component. With Savant, we were able to set up a workflow in a day that generated weekly reports identifying bottlenecks in our engineering workflow. We were able to work with the engineering team and catch many bugs that were getting lost and significantly improve our timeline for fixing bugs. I think it is also worth mentioning the great team behind Savant. They are extremely responsive to any issues you encounter, and are always willing to sit down and help with any problems or bottlenecks I have encountered. I think it is also worth special mention how they have quickly been able to integrate generative AI into their platform. This has allowed me to try out novel ways of analyzing my data and has provided dividends to our business analytics workflows. I would have never been able to leverage AI to help clean up my data had it not been integrated into the Savant product. I have also found their webinars extremely helpful and insightful in how teams have leveraged Savant for their business purposes. I have even picked up some ideas I have borrowed and used for my own business use-cases. **What do you dislike about Savant Labs?** There are two areas I would see improvements. Right now, when you sign-up for an account with Savant, you are provided with a blank canvas to start your workflow. They have a tutorial you can run through that provides you with a tour of the UI. However, it would be great if they had some sample data embedded in the system that I could play with and test out some of the features in free-form. This would particularly help with some of the features like GenerativeAI, which doesn’t have a tutorial built yet. As part of my migration process, I had a number of SQL queries and existing custom workflows I was trying to convert to Savant workflows. As part of this transition, it would be great if Savant offered a freeform SQL interface that allowed me to input my existing scripts and convert it into a recommended Savant workflow. It would also be great if I could switch between the Savant Canvas and an SQL code workbook. Its bot-powered automation makes it so that the data is refreshed automatically. Its AI-powered data preparation and querying also is highly beneficial when implementing the product. Lastly, being able to add dimensions to the data while centralizing it at the same time, has allowed us to quickly deploy the solution. Alternative was to build the visualizations through our data engineering team which would have added several months to the timeline given the constraints on that front. ### 44. We have it working at several data layers in our tech stack. It interacts directly with our product tables for tracking critical information, at our data warehousing level, at our business systems level, and even at the spreadsheet or slack message level. The ease of use and flexibility in working across data sources has made it a critical piece of our automation and daily workflow. **What do you dislike about Savant Labs?** Savant should continue investing in human-facing notifications: turn analysis output into graphs, allow more comprehensive email formatting, or include images in slack notifications. **What problems is Savant Labs solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Savant to automate key analyses that keep our sales team running efficiently.  This includes projects that cross several different data layers, small routine analyses, and larger automation projects. Multiple data layers: We use Savant to read information from our core product tables (like our Users table), match that data to our CRM data, and provide visibility to our sales team in the places they spend their day.  For example, we match user data to contacts in Salesforce and track the user invited/accepted status into instances of our product offering.  We also roll that into an aggregate to track at the instance (all users in an instance) and account level (all instances at an account). Small routine analyses: We help our sales team prioritize account outreach by tracking key buying signals in good fit accounts that have no recent activies or open opportunities.  This can then be sent as an aggregated report for all accounts to the executive level, per territory for account executives, and at an individual account level as a slack alert for business development representatives. Large automation projects:  Like many sales teams, we were running our forecast out of spreadsheets when I first joined.  Spreadsheets have advantages like ease of use, but they are constantly out-of-date.  They need manual updates and changes to the spreadsheet do not sync back into the CRM.  With Savant, we fully automated a bi-directional forecasting spreadsheet that updates the spreadsheet with changes made in the CRM and writes back any updates made in the spreadsheet.  We even built a simple framework to resolve merge conflicts when edits were made both in the CRM and spreadsheet at the same time. ### 45. The have a very experiened team who understand and seem to have a solution for every data challenge I come up with. **What do you dislike about Savant Labs?** I wish it had more data profiling and automated statistics about the data sources. **What problems is Savant Labs solving and how is that benefiting you?** Data preperation and reverse ETL from Snowflake the two primary use cases that Savant has solved. Unlike other tools that require modeling and writing SQL or first generation no-code data prep tools like Alteryx and Tableau prep, Savant Labs as a cloud-first tool is waht I affectionally call a modern data army swiss knife. From development and design to production deployment only a few clicks without managing servers or credits. As a result, I have a simpler cloud first architecture, simpler licensing and a more cost effective solution on hand. ### 46. There is nothing to download or install. The ability to have everything in the cloud is very convenient. It allows connection to many data sources. I primarily use Savant for data processing workflows that need to run in an automated fashion on a schedule. The ease of setting up and changing data transformations and join makes it quick to onboard new memeber of the team. I especially like the clarity of "Join" configuration. You cannot misunderstand what you are configuring with your data. One of the configurations I was not the biggest fan of originally was the way to dedup a data set, but they have now added a "Dedupe Node" to make this super easy. The ability to share workflows with the team is such a big time saver. I have used Alteryx in the past and I found Savant to have a more intuitive interface, quicker to jump in and use, and easier to share workflows amongst a team. **What do you dislike about Savant Labs?** It would be great to see the ability to create reports with graphs as output from workflows. I would also like to see more documentation on all the calculation you can do within a transformation. I use some specific calculations that were sometimes hard to figure out how the configure. **What problems is Savant Labs solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Savant Labs to take many data sources and combine to make a cohesive data table for import into an external product. ### 47. Savant includes a comprehensive exercise to allow users to familiarize themselves with the software and understand how Savant may solve different problems witin their organization . Savant is in use across multiple data teams and is crucial in feeding our raw data sources and data reports to provide timely updates to stakeholders on a daily basis. The Savant team is always eager to answer questions and resolve issues regardless of size or difficulty. **What do you dislike about Savant Labs?** It would be beneficial to see additional options for notification functionality. There are currently some limitations when it comes to Slack that would be beneficial as it is predominatnt means of communication within my workplace. **What problems is Savant Labs solving and how is that benefiting you?** Automated Data Pulls: We use Savant to pull data from some of our raw data sources (Workday, SQL, SFTP's, etc;) and consolidate them in Snowflake. Enabling analysts to make these data pulls allows data engineers to focus on more strategic-level projects. Automated Reporting/Analysis: Savant is used to provide relevant reporting across a number of teams that enable them to drive the decision-making process in a timely manner. As an example: Savant was leveraged to create an email notification and GSheet report that provided sales managers with same-day and next day sales recommendations at specific time intervals in response to a high-priority request for this product. Data Auditing: Savant is also used to notify analysts of any discrepancies within designated tables and columns. For example: Savant is used to audit user-level data to ensure that fields are the expected data type, does not contain unwanted NULL data, and is compared against other tables to ensure accuracy. If there are any discrepancies the responsible parties are notified and can take further action if necessary. ### 48.
