The SAS BI suite of clients work well together to set up an accessible BI framework. In my experience users have been able to make modifications easily, reducing the burden on the BI staff. As a system administrator, I dislike the lack of an established work-flow for managing content and data in SAS BI. Aside from the built-in security of the Metadata and the underlying OS security, there seems to be very little to help promote governance, consistency and 'a single view' of data and information. 1- It comes with experience and takes a lot of research to find the way out of difficult problems.

2- To bring efficiency, one needs to be SAS skilled, knowing any other coding language (including SQL) will not work for you.

3- No support for distributed system/ chunk processing.
