I use SAP Extended Warehouse Management for booking material. I like how it helps me track transactions about materials, such as quantities on hand, when they are consumed, and how much is picked. It signals when it's time to buy more. I find it beneficial for knowing when material arrives, when to pay, when items are received, issued, and the related costs.
