**What do you like best about Samaritan?**

I suppose this qualifies as an "enterprise"-level volunteer management software. The big selling points are:

1) They will match the visual appearance of the host website.
2) Samaritan allows third-party organizations to create posts.

**What do you dislike about Samaritan?**

Platform was not intuitive. Set up is so important for collecting the correct data. They charge for latest updates.

**Recommendations to others considering Samaritan:**

Work with the support team, they'll work with you. Be sure to consider alternatives that meet your needs.

**What problems is Samaritan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Samaritan is creating problems. Fixing none of them. Benefits? They'll work with you on fixing the problems.

**What do you like best about Samaritan?**

I highly recommend it easy to use doesn't crash or stop suddenly as others do also the support team behind it are super professional and helpful

No issues here it is a good reliable program

**What do you like best about Samaritan?**

There are many things we like about eCoordinator but the thing we like the most is the ease of use from the volunteer's perspective. Volunteers consistency express to us the ease of signing up for shift work and comment positively on the overall look of the volunteer website.

**What do you dislike about Samaritan?**

The backend of the system can be a bit complex because eCoordinator can do so many things. Training new  employees requires a bit of time but once there is some familiarity with the system the employee picks new things up quickly. The backend of the system isn't the most intuitive but accomplished every task set before it. 

**Recommendations to others considering Samaritan:**

We found this to be the most robust solution on the market. There are other solutions that may be more focused in their approach but with as many volunteer opportunities as we have this was our best choice. 

**What problems is Samaritan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The first problem we were solving is the need for a stable platform that could work in a variety of browsers and screen sizes. Our previous system struggled to keep up with the times but this solution has been great across multiple platforms and across multiple  years. Secondly, we wanted a system that was highly usable from the volunteer perspective and this was achieved. Thirdly, we wanted a way to report how many hours were served and we have been able to provide that information. Lastly, we wanted a system that could be edited by our volunteer coordinators rather by only a site administrator or the developer. Since implementation of this solution our coordinators have handled the bulk of the work of setting up opportunities and volunteer management. The only task left to site administrators is setting up new volunteer coordinators when they are hired.

**What do you like best about Samaritan?**

Having utilized eCoordinator in a non profit setting, the calendar option was our biggest determining factor when we started looking for a new option. Being able to schedule multiple volunteer shifts for the same day has been essential, and made our lives alot easier! Also, the user friendly interface has also been amazing!

**What do you dislike about Samaritan?**

There are quite a few limitations for expanding functions outside of the initial program. Having to pay more for each expansion is not ideal. Not the worst. But not my favorite for our business. 

**What problems is Samaritan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One key benefit for my team has been the opportunity of using eCoordinator for multiple departments, and their different needs. Allowing volunteers in different locations/departments to utilize the same system has been a great asset for us. We are now able to offer more volunteer opportunities for our overall organization because of the scheduling feature overall user friendliness that it offers.

Information can be accessed by several parties. 

**What do you dislike about Samaritan?**

The system is complex. A lot of time is spent learning the system when I only use it a few times a year.

**Recommendations to others considering Samaritan:**

We use internal trainers and support. Many times those folks are not available and just provide a multi-page guidance document. This is very frustrating when you are trying to accomplish something that seems easy. I really think the system could be more intuitive and perhaps simplified for users who don't need the complex data that is obtained.

**What problems is Samaritan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Volunteer management. The agency can track volunteers easily, although it makes my individual management of volunteers more complex. This would be different if I had to manage a larger number of volunteers. It does provide a place that the volunteer can access a standardized system.
