Since coding skills are required to work in Robocorp, it can be difficult for people who don’t have a coding background to understand its workflow, so it doesn’t feel like a very user-friendly tool. It´s very customizable since you can do it using only code, and that opens the door to create any type of boot using any of python's libraries. For business, it offers a good cost-consumption relation, and you can manage your own machines. Finally you don´t get charged by the code you make, only by the execution done in Robocorps Cloud. Relatively new companies sometimes miss some features or support for packages, but due to their open source point of view, they are always upgrading this and accepting feedback and requests. The tool is consuming large memory and creates a cache. Their tools can consume a lot of resources, though, this is mainly while creating the environment, afterward, it tends to be smoother. the most helpful thing about robocorp is it allows ample customization of automation steps through python libraries thus the scope increases dramatically. Its framework and producer consumer model is easy to understand, you can implement simple user developed bots with given instructions. They also have provided courses to get a head start. The downsides about robocorp is it entirely depends on python coding if you want to develop automation for big/complex processes and provided course and training is useful only for small bots and using as self developed bots. less pieces to pick up and drop in place. I like best in robocorp data extraction through website automation and easily deploying into the control room,and also to use Robot Framework, along with Python, to create automation processes for various tasks, such as data entry, document processing, web scraping. As a developer, I like the mix of high-level programming (RPA Framework) and the possibility of writing custom python code.

The development tools are very comfortable to work with. Their vscode extensions for autocomplete and interactive console are well made, making the experience easy.

The control room (bot orchestrator) is in my opinion the most interesting part of their product.

I did not try the visual editor so far, but it looks good. I do prefer writing code.

It is a bit of an adjustment to use RPA Framework and its more verbose coding approach. Sometimes it seems a bit too verbose, and actual code would be clearer, in my opinion. It might be a developer bias, though.

The possibility of using a Producer-Consumer pattern on their orchestrator is a very nice feature, but I'm a bit concerned about data privacy and compliance for clients that need their data to stay local. RPA is a controversial technology/IT field (how can this be?). Robocorp offers an approach to RPA closer to traditional software development and forgets about all the citizen developer hype.
