The setup for creating dimension group folders is also well designed. Another aspect I like is the ability to overlap drawings, which makes it easier to review changes. **What do you dislike about RIB costX?** The dimension export tool is practically useless. For some reason, when I export drawings, they end up being enormous, making it almost impossible to see the dimensions clearly—especially the count values. The dimensions shrink down to tiny dots that are barely visible on the drawing. **What problems is RIB costX solving and how is that benefiting you?** Being able to perform takeoffs is a valuable feature. ### 2. Effective Estimating software for long term use **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Ethel A. | Construction Cost Estimator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2023 **What do you like best about RIB costX?** I love iTWO costX because Im a construction Estimator and its the best Estimating Software I have used by far.Efficent since I first used MS Excel to do estimating this software has made it all easy and can even be able to store data. **What do you dislike about RIB costX?** At the moment the price its too costly so I can only access it at work as I do the company's work but for personal use I wish it was more affordable and I would be able to use it to Qunatify my work. **What problems is RIB costX solving and how is that benefiting you?** Well efficiency and the fact that you can register projects and have data of past projects in which you can compare price changes from and easily build up your database from. Estimating is made easy thanks to this software. ### 3. Great measurement and workbook integration **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Adam S. | Quantity Surveyor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2019 **What do you like best about RIB costX?** Integrated measurement and workbooks equal easier checking and review. The workbook works much the same as Excel (same formulas, format etc), so seasoned industry professionals should be right at home. Measurement has some good features such as being able to manually change measured shapes afterwards. Server based, so if you're working on something with colleagues from another office, in theory things should be much simpler. **What do you dislike about RIB costX?** As mentioned above, CostX is based on a central server. This does mean that it is susceptible to IT issues; if the server is down you might not be able to use it. More in-depth than Autodesk or CATO, so learning needs to be structured and formalised. Output templates need to be created and uploaded by a 'super-user', which can be a logistical headache if they are unavailable. **What problems is RIB costX solving and how is that benefiting you?** CostX allows for easier and quicker checking and verification of measurement.
