This allows us to more accurately ship product. ### 5. Even thought the designing part is a bit of a hassle and honestly, design always remains a hassle. the system is also scalable like from PC to tablets and even mobile phones, it can be integrated. I didn't work on the PLC so cannot comment about it but used the barcode service which yielded good results. I would definitely prefer RFgen **What do you dislike about RFgen?** The fact that it can be integrated with a wide variety of user ends, designing such a system is tough. Also the ERP tool though helps in avoiding a considerable amount of labor, the RF barcode scanners sometimes miss the goal of entry if not configured properly. Overall not an issue if it can be considered over beforehand. **Recommendations to others considering RFgen:** Good support services by the RFgen staff **What problems is RFgen solving and how is that benefiting you?** I had a issue of missing items in the warehouse which led to a variation of result. Manual entry into the ERP system was growing into an issue now. RFgen was immensely helpful in this case since the barcode scanners helped in doing away with all the manual entry with higher accuracy. ### 6. I have had positive experience using this product and I definitely recommend it. **What do you dislike about RFgen?** While the product itself is good and useful, sometimes it can be a little hard to set up. **Recommendations to others considering RFgen:** It is a great product and I definitely recommend it. The mobile apps are organized and easy to maintain as our business requirements change. Traceability on every component from the PO receipt to the finish good. This is a must have for us to better handle any quality problem reaching our customers. **What do you dislike about RFgen?** RFgen 5.1 not working well with the Falcon devices we purchased from RFgen as recently as 2018. Apparently Microsoft doesn't support Windows CE 6.0 anymore which is what came on the devices when we purchased them. Because of this we are stuck at release level 5.0. **Recommendations to others considering RFgen:** . **What problems is RFgen solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use RFgen for PO receipts, inventory movements, WO completions, scrap materials, and physical inventory. I cannot express enough how much RFgen has improved our processes. Time saving, cost reduction, increased accuracy, increased inventory visibility. For example: Physical Inventory use to take 3 times the number of people and twice as long to complete. Oh and all the keying errors we use to have to investigate and recount. RFgen has cut that down to zero. ### 8. It just WORKS! As a VBA developer it's great to have the rfGen development environment be so close to what I use in my other database development. It's a great compliment to production/warehouse management systems. **What do you dislike about RFgen?** There is little to dislike. It's very stable and I have very few support issues to address. The biggest problem is really not rfGen's fault, but less than full Wi-Fi coverage can cause the sessions to freeze. Again, this isn't rfGen's problem, just a problem my users face. **Recommendations to others considering RFgen:** If you're a VBA developer, this is a great tool for leveraging your skillset. **What problems is RFgen solving and how is that benefiting you?** Work in process transactions, material movements, shipping ### 9. Our previous application worked in batch mode and was very painful. The support is great as well. The support team is very knowledgeable and skilled in multiple applications which helps tremendously. **What do you dislike about RFgen?** Actually, we haven't much we dislike at this point. Any issues we've had have been addressed by the RFgen support team. **What problems is RFgen solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are using RFgen as our picking, receiving and inventory solution. With this solution we are able to complete real time transactions in JD Edwards. If there are any issues with the transaction we know at point of entry and can resolve immediately. ### 13. It greatly reduces the time it takes to receive product and allows for more concurrent receiving by multiple employees at the same time. ### 15.
