"Works Very Well for Transcripts, Notes, and Educational Content"
5/5
What do you like best about Rev?

It helps me convert recorded audio into organized text without spending time typing everything manually. I work as a Dietician and Nutritionist, manage a homeopathy clinic, and also create health education content for social media. I also prepare educational material and sometimes explain health topics through recorded audio and teaching sessions. Rev makes it much easier to review these recordings and work with the information in a written format. Getting started was simple, and uploading audio files and generating transcripts was straightforward. When working with health education recordings and spoken content, Rev helps generate transcripts quickly. This makes it easier to review important points and organize information without listening to the recording multiple times.

I found features like transcript generation, timestamps, AI summaries, transcript editing, and transcript search very useful. These features help me review longer recordings faster and keep information organized. The AI summary feature is especially helpful because it quickly highlights the main points from the recording. I also use the transcripts when preparing health awareness content, educational notes, and teaching material. Having everything available in text format makes content preparation easier and more structured. Performance has been smooth during my use, and transcript generation is usually completed in a reasonable amount of time. I do not use Rev every day, but I use it whenever I need transcripts from recorded content. Overall, it helps save time, improves organization, and makes it easier to manage audio-based educational content as part of my regular workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rev?

The transcript quality is generally good, but when audio contains background noise or unclear speech, a few manual corrections may still be needed. This does not happen often, but it can add a little extra review time for longer recordings. Also, The AI summary feature is useful, but sometimes I still need to read parts of the transcript to make sure no important detail is missed. For educational content, I usually do a quick review before using the information further. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Quick Transcripts, Seamless Workflow"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Rev?

I like how quick Rev is. It's pretty low maintenance, and everything kind of gets stored in this one big library, which makes it easy for me to find transcripts I've made without needing to save them with my own files. The system's speed in providing transcripts in just a couple of minutes really helps keep my workflow smooth and uninterrupted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rev?

I think some of the new AI functionality is interesting. I haven't dug in too much, but yeah, I would be keen to know if maybe they could make, social post suggestions from a video, that kind of thing. Oh, and also sometimes identifying an individual who's speaking could be stronger. Like, the on screen text, the lower thirds will say a speaker's name, but the transcript doesn't pick that up. "Indispensable AI Reports That Save Time"
5/5
What do you like best about Rev?

I love the ease of use and over the years, the AI-generated text has really improved. The AI-generated reports have been indispensable and a major time saver. Transcripts typically have a really quick turnaround time and the pricing is very reasonable Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rev?

The only thing I dislike is that the dashboard seems to change fairly frequently so I have to figure out where things are. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, Reliable Transcriptions with Easy Editing"
5/5
What do you like best about Rev?

I appreciate that Rev is fast and reliable. I like being able to edit the transcript right in the Rev interface and change the speaker names throughout for easier quoting. I also like the AI summary tab, because it helps nail down a story angle and points me toward the most quotable interview areas. The setup is incredibly easy, just plug and play—nothing to do but upload and wait for your transcript. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rev?

I wish Rev had knowledge of common industry terms to reduce typos. I would find a glossary feature of common terms helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Revolutionary for Capturing Authentic Voice and Great for Comedians"
5/5
What do you like best about Rev?

I use Rev to generate transcripts of my comedic and hypnotist performances, which is absolutely fantastic because it helps me capture my actual voice in text, making it a game changer for maintaining authenticity. I like its accuracy and speed, which saves me valuable time as time is a nonrenewable resource. The setup was very easy, and this convenience makes Rev absolutely worth it. What do you dislike about Rev?

This is an Apple issue, not a Rev issue. On my iPhone/iPad I have to manually turn Rev on every time I want to use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Transcription Powerhouse with Exceptional Accessibility"
5/5
What do you like best about Rev?

I find Rev incredibly helpful and efficient as a legal researcher, writer, paralegal, and pro se litigator. The transcription services offer great accuracy, and having access to a human transcriber for audio that the AI struggles with is the most important tool for me. I appreciate Rev's feature to analyze multiple documents for tracking inconsistencies or patterns; it uncovered a crucial inconsistency in my case. Rev's accessibility is better for disabled litigators compared to other programs. I also appreciate the engaging customer service and the opportunity to try the service without committing right away. Its purple theme helps locate files easily, reducing cognitive demand, while the layout is thoughtful, making navigation simple. The design and interface relieve my cognitive load during busy times, which is invaluable. Transitioning from Otter AI and JusticeText to Rev was effortless because it's so easy to get started. What do you dislike about Rev?

I would say that having some reminders of invoice due, or if autopay wasn’t set up, would be helpful. I have to automate every system so I don’t have to think about tasks that might be irrelevant to the work I am doing in any given day. Some services will hold hostage files or assets stored in a cloud if there is only a minimal amount of time passing after a billing—subscriptions that don’t go on a 30 day net invoicing system. Such policies harm the consumer in ways that can be compounding and cascading, and this risk should be accounted for when developing billing policies. Some customers can benefit from split payments or plans that can adapt to a billing cycle change or unexpected event. As far as reminders, designing them as invitations to pay, rather than an obligation, can bypass some customer’s avoidance patterns, which is common in the overworked and burnt out litigator. "Seamless Voice Memos Integration and Easy Transcript Editing"
5/5
What do you like best about Rev?

I prefer to use my iPhone's VoiceMemos app and Rev works with it seamlessly, allowing me to hit '3 dots' on a recording, then send it Rev in just a few seconds. The Rev environment is what I like to use on my laptop... I can quickly go to a transcript and give names to voices, correct little things, download transcriptions, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rev?

No major dislikes. If I had to list something here, I would say that I lost a few recordings when recording directly on the Rev app in my iPhone... it happened after the recording was finished. Not sure what I hit, but I did something wrong and lost the recording. I'm assuming it was user error, as everything else I've experienced with Rev has been fantastic. But yeah, that prompted me to just record in my iPhone's Voice Memos app and then do the Rev, transfer... a workflow I still use today and am quite happy with. "Efficient Transcription with Insightful Features"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Rev?

I really like the insights part because I'm able to put together all my interviews and materials, and I can ask questions in the chat. It helps me by pointing out where things are or for fact-checking. Sometimes I have a lot of interviews and I'm not sure if I remember the exact things or where things are in the audio or documents. Putting everything together in one chat and asking questions is helpful to get a sense of what the story is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rev?

I think one of the issues with Rev is that when I am using the chat or asking questions, it gives me a very long answer and I think it can be more concise and to the point. And before I was experiencing an issue where the audio was not working properly, and it was repeating itself, starting from zero from the beginning. But now that problem has been fixed, so I think those are the main issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Improved Transcription but Unreliable Saving"
3/5
What do you like best about Rev?

I like that Rev transcribes my interviews, and I've noticed the transcription has improved a lot since the spring, or maybe even the winter. This improvement saves me a lot of time from having to go back and manually edit the transcription, which I still have to do but much less now. Also, the initial setup of Rev was very easy, like nine out of 10 easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rev?

The transcriptions can still get a little bit better, although I'm not sure how realistic that expectation is. Also, saving could improve. It's very dicey; I always try to split it up into segments because you can record an interview, hit save, and there's no guarantee it's actually going to save. So, you need a backup service.
