"Blazing-Fast Sync and Full Data Ownership"
What do you like best about Resilio Sync?

I use Resilio Sync primarily for its blazing-fast peer-to-peer file transfer, especially when dealing with large files. Its ability to sync folders directly between devices without going through third-party cloud servers is a standout feature, providing full data ownership and keeping our data faster and more private. This P2P sync engine drastically speeds up the transfer of large creative assets, high-res assets, raw video, and full project folders, even across remote teams—tasks that would otherwise take hours now finish in minutes. I heavily rely on its real-time, reliable bidirectional sync, which instantly reflects changes across all devices and eliminates version conflicts. Additionally, the selective sync feature helps manage storage effectively by allowing us to choose which folders sync locally on each device, perfect for laptops with limited space. It works quietly in the background with almost no maintenance required. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Resilio Sync?

I run into limited visibility into sync issues. When a file fails to sync or gets stuck, the error messages are often vague and don’t explain why it happened or how to fix it. This leads to more support tickets and frustration for remote team members who aren’t tech-savvy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, Secure, and Direct File Sharing"
What do you like best about Resilio Sync?

I like how Resilio Sync offers speed, security, and no cloud middleman, which makes it reliable for our team. The peer-to-peer sync makes transferring large files like raw client assets, backups, and media much faster without upload limits or bandwidth throttling, saving us hours every week. I also really appreciate that our data stays within our control, only sharing with our devices directly, which is crucial for handling sensitive client information. This gives us peace of mind about privacy and security. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Resilio Sync?

I find that while the peer-to-peer model of Resilio Sync is great for privacy, it lacks the convenience of cloud backups. Files only exist on our devices, so we still need a separate backup solution. Some kind of optional, encrypted backup layer would be a huge improvement. Also, the initial setup is functional but definitely more technical compared to typical cloud tools we use every day. It wasn't hard for someone who’s comfortable with software and permissions, but it didn’t feel 'one-click simple' either. Simplified onboarding and sharing flow would be a huge win. Setting up shared folders, managing keys, and getting new team members connected is too technical. We’d love to see simple, secure share links, clear step-by-step prompts for permissions, and auto-connect options for team devices to cut down on setup time and reduce training needs. A modern, visual UI and better status transparency would make daily use way less frustrating. Right now, it's hard to tell which files are syncing, why a sync failed, how much time is left for transfers, or which team member has which file locked. A cleaner dashboard with real-time progress indicators and color-coded statuses would help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Cross-Platform Sync with Peer-to-Peer Speed"
What do you like best about Resilio Sync?

I love Resilio Sync for its peer-to-peer (P2P) functionality because it allows direct file sharing between devices without relying on a central server, which means faster transfer speeds. This is especially beneficial when sharing large video files, as it saves time and reduces the load on my internet connection. I also appreciate the cross-platform support since I use different operating systems across my devices. Resilio Sync works seamlessly across Windows, macOS, and Android, breaking down the barriers between different device ecosystems and making my workflow more fluid and efficient. The decentralized nature is an advantage too, as it reduces the risk of service outages, allowing sync operations to continue even if there are issues with Resilio's infrastructure. What do you dislike about Resilio Sync?

While Resilio Sync offers end-to-end encryption, the key management system could be more user-friendly. Some users may find it difficult to understand how to manage their encryption keys, especially in a multi-device or multi-user environment. Also, in the event of a key loss, the recovery process could be more straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Secure, Fast, and Reliable File Sync"
What do you like best about Resilio Sync?

I use Resilio Sync to synchronize, share, and organize documents between different devices in the workplace. The tool has been secure, fast, and reliable, making it perfect for sharing big files privately. I like its offline sync capability and secure file storage without high reliance on the cloud, as well as the fast and reliable file transfer. The ease of use and how it integrates with other third-party applications are also great. I'm sure to share my files and access them on a different device securely. Offline access to files is great, and the initial setup was very easy. I would highly recommend Resilio Sync to anyone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Resilio Sync?

I don't like the limitation on the number of devices you can use in the free version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Empowers Data Privacy with Ease"
What do you like best about Resilio Sync?

I use Resilio Sync to sync files directly between my own devices like a laptop and desktop. This gives me control over my data, helping preserve privacy. I appreciate that it eliminates the forced cloud storage problem and handles very large files without issues. What I like most is that my files stay private, with no company having access to my data, and there are no storage limits. No third-party server ever touches my files, allowing me to stay in control of where my data is. The setup was super easy, and because of the increased privacy and control over my archived files, I switched from Dropbox. It's honestly the best tool for these needs. "Great program for syncing"
What do you like best about Resilio Sync?

True peer‑to‑peer sync with no centralized cloud: your data stays on your devices.

Extremely fast for large files and big folders, especially over LAN.

Cross‑platform support (Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, NAS) with flexible folder‑level controls.

Selective Sync and “On‑Demand” files to save space on laptops/mobile.

Encrypted folders/keys for sharing to untrusted devices.

No storage limits or monthly storage fees; scales with your own hardware.

Robustness for flaky networks: resumes transfers, handles intermittent connectivity, will use relays when needed.

Simple sharing via links/QR codes with read‑only or read‑write permissions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Resilio Sync?

Both peers must be online (or use an always‑on device) for sync to happen; it’s not a backup service.

Closed‑source and paid features can be pricey if you need Pro across many devices.

Can be resource‑intensive and slower to index when pointing at very large numbers of small files.

Mobile background syncing (especially on iOS) can be limited by OS restrictions.

Conflict handling works but simultaneous edits can still create “conflict” copies you must reconcile.

Sharing/collaboration features are minimal compared to cloud suites (no web preview, comments, or granular audit).

Initial setup (keys, permissions, port/NAT considerations) can be confusing for non‑technical users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
