What do you like best about RentCheck?

RentCheck makes managing move-ins and move-outs much more uniform and transparent. The platform is incredibly user-friendly and saves a massive amount of time by allowing for resident-led inspections. It also provides excellent customer support that is always quick to respond. What do you dislike about RentCheck?

While RentCheck provides a fairly streamlined way to manage property inspections, I've noticed a few drawbacks. My most common complaints involve occasional syncing delays and the limited functionality available in the free version. In addition, I find it inconvenient that the app requires photos to be taken directly within the app, without the option to upload images from my camera roll—especially when I’m trying to document a move-in outside of regular support hours. What problems is RentCheck solving and how is that benefiting you?

RentCheck solves the problem of inconvenient, disruptive, and often disputed property inspections by allowing me to complete them myself on my own schedule. It benefits me by protecting my security deposit through transparent, time-stamped photo documentation, while also giving me the privacy and convenience of not having to coordinate a traditional walk-through with my landlord. "Easy Tenant Inspections That Save Time and Settle Deposit Disputes Fast"

What do you like best about RentCheck?

I own a handful of rentals and manage them myself, so anything that saves me a drive across town is a big deal. I used to go out to every move-in and move-out and take a bunch of photos on my phone, then try to remember which ones went with which unit. Now my tenant just does the inspection in the app and I look it over when I have a minute. Move-outs are where it really pays off. I pull up the move-in report next to the move-out and it's pretty obvious what's new damage and what was already there, so I'm not guessing when it comes to the deposit. I had one tenant push back last year and I just sent them the photos. That was the end of it. I figured it'd be overkill for someone my size but it was easy to set up and I didn't have to learn much. What do you dislike about RentCheck?

Honestly there's not much I don't like. It does what I need it to do. The thing I'm most looking forward to is seeing them build out more of the turn side of things. Inspections are covered, but once a tenant moves out there's still a lot of back and forth getting the unit ready for the next one, and I'd love to handle more of that in the same place. From what I've seen they're headed that way, so I'm excited to see what they add. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is RentCheck solving and how is that benefiting you?

The main problem it solves for me is not being able to be everywhere at once. I've got a full-time job on top of the rentals, so taking time off to meet a tenant for a walkthrough was always a pain. Now they do the inspection themselves and I look it over that night.

It's also fixed my record keeping. I used to have photos scattered between my phone, my email, and a couple of folders on my laptop, and half the time I couldn't find what I needed. Now everything for each unit is in one spot with the dates on it.

The other big one is deposits. Before, it kind of came down to my word against theirs, and I hated those conversations. Having the move-in and move-out side by side takes the emotion out of it. I can show exactly what changed, and I've had way fewer arguments because of it. Overall I'm spending less time running around and feeling a lot more organized about the whole thing. "Instant Lockbox Access for Seamless Maintenance"

What do you like best about RentCheck?

I like being able to create access codes instantly using the serial numbers for our lockboxes, especially for timely sensitive maintenance repairs when vendors are onsite at our properties. I can provide access to vendors, tenants, and owners, and see detailed information on how many days a property has been on the market.
