We use Go! Curriculum and I was spending hours a week building powerpoints and uploading them to another "file storage" website only to have issues streaming it on Sundays. My heart is overwhelmed with gladness that Playlister made this area of ministry enjoyable for me again! **What do you dislike about Playlister?** I do not always prefer having to connect to wifi and turning the Apple TVs to get into Playlister in order for them to download to each device. **What problems is Playlister solving and how is that benefiting you?** File storage and streaming. The ease of use for this product in my ministry just makes ministry that much better! I love that I can use it for more than lessons, as well. This solves a major hassle when it comes to putting everything together. You do it once and it shows up in every classroom. Quick and painless. **What do you dislike about Playlister?** Trying to get it on a projector is problematic when it comes to audio. especially it the projector is not near the sound board, like a ceiling mounted situation. This makes it so we have to use pro presenter on our main screen but it would be really handy if there was a desktop version of Playlister or some kind of desktop integration that would allow us to use it for EVERYTHING. Not just our smaller classrooms with televisions. **What problems is Playlister solving and how is that benefiting you?** Simplifies the curriculum process and Digital signage needs of our church into one location that can be easily loaded for Sunday. Easy for volunteers to learn how to control. Explanation takes about 30 seconds. Can be used by almost anyone and all levels of technological ability. ### 3. Whoever you want on your team can have an account and it is super easy to train how to add media and make playlists. Plus, teaching your volunteer teams how to access the app and use it is just as simple. Getting the TVs setup with the app is not difficult at all. We have multiple classrooms that use it for one playlist, but one room that runs multiple, and having these setup and integrated was extremely easy. **What do you dislike about Playlister?** The cost. Buying Apple TVs upfront is expensive and the subscription can add a lot to the cost. For the lite version, running 7 screens, we are already paying 4x as much as we do for 20 seats of ProPresenter. If you want to not buy Apple TVs but rent, you pay even more, which just after a year ends up being more money than buying the Apple TVs and running Lite. **What problems is Playlister solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have multiple rooms we present in that are fully run by volunteers. These rooms are also constantly updating and seeing changes in presentations. Playlister makes it easy for our whole team to access and add slides, as well as volunteers learning to present. I find little things that could be added to it to enhance what it offers, but no real downsides. The only real "dislike" I have is that when printing the playlist - the slides aren't numbered which can sometimes be a pain. **What problems is Playlister solving and how is that benefiting you?** Playlister organizes the types of presentations we have in our rooms and allows me tailor the storage of media/playlists for our specific uses. I also like the ease of use. Using the Apple TV makes it simple, and adding media through the web browser is very helpful. If I can't access my computer, being able to do it on an iPad is helpful. When I had an issue, I emailed customer service, and they responded quickly and were very helpful. I truly have been incredibly happy with the service! I cannot recommend it enough. **What do you dislike about Playlister?** My biggest downside is that the YouTube downloader is in beta, and it has been unavailable at times or has been very slow. Also, when adding multiple media files at once, it can get bogged down and sometimes fail to upload. My final recommendation is not to complain; if there were an iPad and iPhone app to add media, that would be fantastic. We've had almost no issues with it, and it is way easier and cheaper than paying for computers and presenting software like we did before. **What do you dislike about Playlister?** The file manager system and the playlist manager system is a little clunky. As of right now, if I create a new folder or playlist, it always creates it outside of the system instead of inside the folder I'm currently in, which means I need to drag and drop the playlist I want to use into a folder after creating it. But this is very nitpicky! **What problems is Playlister solving and how is that benefiting you?** Playlister is used for our Kids' ministry, and it lets us upload their content (slides, songs, videos) super easily and cheaply. Our previous system used computers, and was very frustrating for volunteers to use, but all our volunteers love it (especially the ones who are not very techy). ### 10. I like how easy it is to download materials. I like being able to share the playlists weekly with our coordinators prior to Sunday mornings. We have a lot of good feedback from our volunteers who run the tech equipment on Sunday mornings. They love how easy it is to run. It didn't take much to train the volunteers which is nice. **What do you dislike about Playlister?** One struggle is having to make an MP4 to attach to announcement slides verses an image. It's also a bummer I can't copy media from one folder to another verses simply moving it because sometimes I would like it in more than one. **What problems is Playlister solving and how is that benefiting you?** We previously had a lot of margin for error with our other program. Thankfully, this removes the opportunity for a majority of the errors we previously had. This allows us to better serve those who are willing to serve. ### 11. I just add the slides from any computer and fire off the playlist and it just works exactly how it's supposed to. It was easy to set up and it's very easy to use. Customer support has been great helping me to understand it and use it quickly. I use it every time we stream which has been a huge help, and it easily integrated into our current A/V setup. **What do you dislike about Playlister?** It's not easy to use if you're not on a desktop. So, phone is really really hard to use and there's not an app for it, so that kind of limits it. **What problems is Playlister solving and how is that benefiting you?** It was annoying to have to put slides into a seperate pro presenter computer and pro presenter has its own problems. Playlister completely removes me needing to run another seat on my pro presenter license. ### 13. We currently have been using ProPresenter in all of our classes, which while it is a great program, requires expensive equipment in the rooms and the proper training for the personnel in the classrooms. We have 7 children's classroom's currently, which means every Sunday, we are dealing with technical problems in one of the rooms (screens not showing up properly, music account logged out for some reason, curriculum not updated properly, etc). Playlister makes this process so much simpler for the teachers. While we have only integrated it in one class so far, our entire team is very excited for us to expand on the program to each classroom. This also allows our Children's Pastor to update the digital curriculum from home all at once, instead of making a trip to our facility and going to each individual classroom to update the computers! The Playlister software is also pretty easy to use once you understand it, and their YouTube page has plenty of videos showing off some of the features. Additionally, they are consistently updating their app to add more features and versatility, which is greatly appreciated! **What do you dislike about Playlister?** The only thing I would like a solution for with Playlister is something a little bit more seamless for music integration. We normally have a music app streaming in the classroom before and after service. While we can add music files to Playlister and have them automatically go to the next song when it completes, it is more of a hassle than just streaming a playlist from online. In the grand scheme though, this is a very minor issue! **What problems is Playlister solving and how is that benefiting you?** Playlister helps us to keep things simple for our children's teams, so they can focus on interacting with and teaching the kids, instead of getting frustrated with technology. It gives everyone a good attitude for their classroom, and it also greatly benefits our Children's Pastor. She can set up the curriculum from anywhere, and with its integration with Orange, it's even easier for her to access the media without downloading a bunch of extra files! ### 14. I use Playlister every single week for our Children's ministry. I upload all our content from GROW Curriculum every month to it's media portion and then just add what I need every week, if I am on top of it I can upload and prep the entire month within 30 minutes. I also love that I can send out all the slides to my volunteers before our weekend services. They are able to actually visualize what the weekend service will look like first hand and offer suggestions before they run through it on a Sunday morning. I love how quick and easy it is to change things if I need to update something day or even minute of our ministry happening (and I can do it from wherever)! All of my volunteers love it and have gotten the hang of it within the first month of us using it. I have hopped on video calls, phone calls, emailed, and texted the Playlister team to help me with different questions, and they have all been more than helpful. **What do you dislike about Playlister?** The only "kind of" issue I have encountered was with the scheduling of playlists, and having to use a buffer playlist to force the Apple TVs to auto play content for a second church service for the morning. However, that issue was resolved within a single business day working with Evan. We have 20+ TVs and we can update the content on all the TVs in as little as 5 minutes each week. It's easy. If one of my smaller campuses needs different worship songs, or likes to do their program in a different order, Playlister makes that not only feasible but flawless. We have over 70 screens in use for Playlister on the weekends, and in 3 years, we have only had 2 minor issues. Neither of them were Playlister's fault. That is quite simply unheard of in ministry. Our playlister coordinator implements things easily, and since we use it upwards of 10x a week, it's important that multiple large files on the same screen can be integrated easily. **What do you dislike about Playlister?** This sounds like a copout, but I can't think of anything I don't like. I think the team at Playlister should be given lots of jewels for their crown in heaven. **What problems is Playlister solving and how is that benefiting you?** Playlister solves the problem of multiple ministries needing to use the same tvs and apple tv's at the same time-- eventually, your apple tv runs out of space. And when you are downloading multiple large files per ministry per week (we have over 70 screens), this becomes maddening to remove files and add new ones every week. With Playlister, we can do it all from one computer and send all of the files to the right computers for the right service, and then time those same files to disappear when the service is done. I also wish I could synchronize my Apple TVs to play a specific playlist simultaneously. The annual price per screen is egregious for the service that it's offering. We ended up switching to private playlists on Youtube Premium instead. The annual Youtbe Premium membership is abotu 1/3 cheaper than one annual screen license on Playlister and can easily be streamed on Apple TVs in our classrooms. **What problems is Playlister solving and how is that benefiting you?** We're able to stream our content in every classroom. Because Playlister runs on Apple TVs, we are saving money and minimizing the number of laptops & desktop computers that need supported, and they are easy to deploy in virtually any space with an existing TV. Since content downloads to the app, video playback is more reliable than streaming. And this platform allows a small, centralized team to support dozens of classes, gatherings, and groups, ranging in size from a few people to hundreds. **What do you dislike about Playlister?** When Playlister is loaded as an app on Apple TV, the icon is called "Screen", rather than "Playlister". Playlister saves our staff and home gathering leaders time, as they no longer need to prepare weekly content, or be physically present for the content to run. We are able to launch home groups much more quickly, by providing them an Apple TV with Playlister loaded, giving our church a wider reach and eliminating barriers to groups of people who want to start an LCBC location in their hometown. We can also unify the experience of other classes and environments we offer and rely more on volutneers to facilitate these classes, as we do not require a staff computer for the classes to run.
