Remitly Pricing FAQs

Is Remitly free, or does it offer a free trial?

No. According to G2 data, Remitly does not offer a free plan or free trial. Users need to purchase a paid plan to access the product. Visit the seller's official pricing page for current pricing details and plan options.

Who is Remitly pricing best suited for?

Remitly's pricing is best suited for individuals and small businesses making recurring personal or cross-border remittances, particularly US-to-India, Canada-to-India, and UK-to-India corridors. The majority of G2 reviewers fall in the Small Business segment across industries including Financial Services, Accounting, IT, and Human Resources. These users value low per-transfer fees, UPI support, and no-fee thresholds for larger amounts. G2 reviewers in Enterprise segments also report positive experiences for corporate offshore transfers. Remitly is less suited for users requiring high transfer limits from the outset, cash pickup in all countries, or bidirectional transfer support — reviewers flag India-to-US transfers as unsupported.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of Remitly?

According to G2's pricing data for Remitly, no tiered free-versus-paid structure exists. Remitly's pricing operates on a per-transfer fee model with no published fixed tiers, and custom quotes are available for enterprise needs. G2 reviewers note that fees are waived above certain transfer thresholds — one reviewer cites no fee for amounts above $600. Express transfers carry higher fees and exchange rate markups versus the economy option, which offers better rates but slower delivery. Transfer limits apply initially, with higher limits unlocked after identity verification. Enterprise-scale users can pursue custom pricing arrangements directly with Remitly.

Is Remitly considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviews of Remitly present a split picture on value. Satisfied reviewers consistently praise low transfer fees versus bank alternatives, fee-free transfers above certain thresholds (one reviewer notes no fee above $600), transparent fee display, and fast delivery. These users rate Remitly 4.0 to 5.0. However, a notable cluster of G2 reviewers report serious concerns: unauthorized card charges, funds held without refund, post-payment document demands resulting in denied transfers, and unresponsive support. These reviewers rate Remitly 0.0 to 1.0. Value perception splits sharply by experience — routine transfers deliver solid cost savings, but disputed transactions or verification failures produce strongly negative outcomes.

What do you like best about Remitly?

I like that Remitly is easy to use and offers fast, reliable international transfers. The app is intuitive, transparent with fees, and provides multiple delivery options, which makes sending money simple and convenient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Remitly?

Some transfers can take longer when additional verification is required, and the fees or exchange rates aren’t always the most competitive depending on the country. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Worst Service, Frustrating Experience"

What do you like best about Remitly?

I don't like anything about them now Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Remitly?

I find Remitly to be the worst service provider, wasting my time and holding my money. After charging my card, they asked for a bunch of documents and verification, only to tell me a day later they can't process the transfer. Their service is negative, and their support team is the worst. They need to add more clarity on their terms and conditions and not let people sign up or send money if they can't provide the service. They should perform due diligence before charging a card, not afterward. The initial setup was also the worst, not easy, and hard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
