Simple, Easy Interface—Though Some Tasks Take Too Many Clicks **Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026 **What do you like best about RedTeam Flex?** RedTeam has a simple, easy-to-use interface, so I’m never confused about where to click or how to find what I need. The buyout commitments module is probably the strongest part of the system, especially compared to other tools on the market. We’ve been able to tailor it to our process and make it work really well. The other modules also meet expectations. They get the job done, but there’s still room for improvement. That said, we work closely with their support team. While it can sometimes take a little time to fully resolve an issue, they respond quickly in chat, schedule calls when needed, take our feedback seriously, and keep us updated throughout the process. On pricing, we have a really good deal on the system. Considering how much of our workflow we run through it and the number of jobs we manage, we’ve definitely seen a great ROI. Overall, we enjoy our partnership with RedTeam, and they consistently take feedback into consideration when developing new tools. The system overall saves us many hours each week to manage vendors, contacts, and project documents rather than manually tracking via email and excel. **What do you dislike about RedTeam Flex?** There are many areas of the system that require a lot of clicks to get you to the right place. While it's usually easy to understand, it takes a while to get to where you need to. We also struggle quite often with general performance and our ability to collaborate with external users. For example, our drawing sets are very large and when uploading them, RedTeam will always freeze, take a long time to load, or just not work at all. This can take up a lot of our time and create a breakdown in our process. From the external user perspective, they aren't able to create a login and view items in their court so they have to find all of the emails that we send them. This makes it difficult for them to find items and respond. The system does not currently offer any AI functionality compared to most other products on the market. We would like to see how AI can improve our processes or make it easier so we are hoping this is introduced into the system. We suggest getting ahead of the competition and implementing AI functionality to speed up manual processes like drawing review, or spec extraction. **What problems is RedTeam Flex solving and how is that benefiting you?** RedTeam, although it has a few issues, does a decent job of managing project controls. We can handle RFIs, submittals, drawings, commitments, and other project documents in one place, instead of doing everything manually or relying on Excel. It streamlines where our teams go to find information, and we’re also able to extract the SQL data and push it into our Power BI dashboards—almost like an integration—so we can build useful metrics and track KPIs. ### 2. As a smaller company, it keeps everything in good order. There is a Support Team available via email / chat feature that can be really helpful. **What do you dislike about RedTeam Flex?** The learning curve can be a little tricky. I miss the chat feature from Support Team - now sometimes getting a response can take 20+ minutes and the staff hasn't been as helpful since before Flex was rolled out. I did notice that the Help articles are a lot more detailed and helpful however and many times can find the answer myself. **What problems is RedTeam Flex solving and how is that benefiting you?** RedTeam has helped streamline mundane taskwork. Keeping Contract Documents in order and tracking Invoicing has been highly beneficial. It has made paying invoices to contractors a lot easier. Integrating all the invoicing makes my job a lot easier. **What do you dislike about RedTeam Flex?** There is nothing I necessarily dislike about redteam. One thing that's kind of weird is that if an invoice is committed through redteam, when it transfers over to quickbooks it puts the due date a year later, still not sure why that happens. **What problems is RedTeam Flex solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is solving organizing our vendors in one place and being able to show their contracts in an organized way. The inability to delete certain things. The permissions sometimes don't seem to make sense. It is very customizable. User interface (colors and layout) for the most part are very user friendly. Response time is so bad that sometimes you feel like maybe you forgot to click. Change orders need to use the import capability that estimates use. They were not able to navigate through and pull needed information. We chose to go with another software for future projects. We are finishing up the current properties on RedTeam. Having our pre-bid and construction processes in one area is very helpful. Also, trying to reconcile various change orders in MS Excel was a nightmare. They are sophisticated enough to eliminate Sage and move to Quick Books for financial statements. All the job cots reports needed for construction-related tasks are so easy to use and updated immediately, no lag time between reporting and actual costs. The daily reports for the field crews are easy to do and straightforward. Collaboration tab for any document that goes out to the internal and external teams is fantastic!! I enjoy taking a project from an opportunity to complete that project. The submittal workflow is also an excellent tool. **What do you dislike about RedTeam Flex?** The estimating and bidding software is not quite there. There are a lot of redundant steps needed to add information that could just be automatically prefilled with some quick change in programming. The RFI tool needs to be made to operate like the submittal tool. They have the RFIs buried in the dialogue tab and it is not always easy to navigate. Making the RFIs go through a workflow process, like the submittals, would be awesome. Being able to receive bids with multiple cost codes would be great too. Right now, a site contractor with (4) or (5) cost codes needs to submit separate bids for each code. Or I need to go through and enter their quote into each code on the estimate. This is an area where they could make it automated. **Recommendations to others considering RedTeam Flex:** Please look at all the tools throughly. Think about how you will use the software and ask specific questions. **What problems is RedTeam Flex solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are solving how to reduce overhead by switching from Procore and Sage accounting. RedTeam needs to make a few tweaks, and they will have THE best construction management and financial tool on the market. We can use fewer apps to communicate during a project. We are working on making RedTeam the only app we have to use!! So much potential. Even when there are problems, having ready access to someone to help makes them seem less huge. **What do you dislike about RedTeam Flex?** They are growing and adapting, which is great, but there are so many updates happening that it's almost impossible to keep up, and sometimes the updates seem to undo some of the previous fixes we had worked out. Change is good, but too much change too quickly can be tough to manage. I'm also not wild about the fact that there isn't a portal for subcontractors to log into to view plans and POs. The level of organization that creates in the company represents money being saved on employees getting things done more effectively and for a fraction of the price. **What do you dislike about RedTeam Flex?** It does not have the AI to label drawings for you like other software such as Procore, AND you have to print checks to pay subs or use another method since it does not pay via direct deposit to subcontractor's accounts. This is one of the reasons why my current company does not use it. **Recommendations to others considering RedTeam Flex:** Think about the money you will save when you have all the company information and processed in one place? It's a worthwhile investment.
