She was consistently attentive, always ready to help, and went above and beyond to make sure we felt supported and confident in the direction the Recite Me tool implementation was taking before, during, and after rollout. We also found the development team very open to hearing our feedback about the tool and addressing any issues that came up during our testing phase. Our implementation was likely more involved than most, as we tested the tool with our community to ensure the translations were suitable. Working in the health information space meant there was a comprehensive due diligence process we needed to undertake to confirm the tool provided accurate translations. When we did identify potential translation issues, the development team moved quickly to resolve them. We've launched the product and feel confident that it is meeting the needs of our community. **What do you dislike about Recite Me?** We were hesitant about utilising AI for translations - primarily due to the accuracy factor - but our testing showed that it is quite a reliable tool and it is most definitely better than nothing. **What problems is Recite Me solving and how is that benefiting you?** For our particular project, our focus was on making information about MND accessible to people whose first language is not English. However, our community also includes people who will benefit from the tool’s other accessibility features, including speech-to-text functionality and the reading tool options. ### 2. I was able to get in a nice rhythm with Claude Code, where I would provide it the CSV list of issues exported by Recite Me, we'd break them down, make changes, and then rescan. When Claude needed some more context, I was able to provide the additional info (explanation, suggested fixes) for a given issue that Recite Me gave us, and we were easily able to identify what actually needed changes based on the specific elements in question and what I was safe to mark as already good. Using the Recite Me portal is also straightforward, and support has also been great.. when we had issues running reports we were able to talk directly with our rep and she was able to run the report herself while we were waiting for a fix, which works splendidly now. **What do you dislike about Recite Me?** The scanner isn't the fastest, but that could also be our plugin-heavy WordPress site. It would be nice if I could see the line go up noticeably in the scanner compliance chart, like if we started at 94% AA compliant and it took awhile to get up to 96% the line doesn't go up so much (could use more dopamine). But this is a very minor thing, the numbers are clear. We're making good progress. **What problems is Recite Me solving and how is that benefiting you?** We need our website to be WCAG 2.1 AA compliant within the next year and don't have the resources to hire outside help for this, but with this tool and Claude I feel confident I as the IT guy here at the library will be able to handle this myself. ### 3. The checker has made it easier to spot small but critical UI issues that I wouldn’t have noticed otherwise, and it clearly shows where we’re falling short particularly with image labelling and heading structure. The Recite Me team are great and quick to help whenever needed, and the onboarding process was simple and smooth, which made the whole experience even better. Integration is straightforward too, it’s simply a copy and paste job which is a code snippet that sits in our header scripts. Overall, I feel the ROI is worth it for what Recite Me provide, and I would fully recommend it. **What do you dislike about Recite Me?** I think I would like to have more videos of accessibility regarding the courses page and maybe if possible a Scrimba type style of course that allows the customers to watch and see how to tackle certain WCAG issues. **What problems is Recite Me solving and how is that benefiting you?** A big problem we were having was that international students were struggling to read or understand written text, and we would have liked the page to be able to be read aloud in their native language. Another issue was that some users struggled with the contrast and colours on our site and needed to rely on third-party aids to help them browse. Once we installed the Recite Me toolbar, all of that changed. Users can now change the website into their native language of choice, or have the speaker read the content to them. Other users can adjust the contrast, text size, font type, and more to support their browsing. This has benefited us because we’ve had 1000+ users use the toolbar, which in turn has increased our user retention and decreased our bounce rate %. ### 4.
