I also like that, in the most recent update, you can now add students to guardians, as you are checking them out. We have many families of 3 or more students and it has made the checkout process much smoother. Before, you had to enter each child separately. **What do you dislike about Raptor Visitor Management?** Sometimes it's slow when scanning ... makes it hard on people when waiting. Would like to have Volunteers and Visitors to only scan once so that they don't have to scan a second time when picking up a child. Now they get scanned in for volunteer/visitor and have to then again get scanned when picking up their student. Also, when the update occurred, the entire data base was wiped clean and all parents needed to be re-scanned. We have 700 students, that's a lot of parent/guardians to have to start all over with. Maybe find a way to be able to update without having to delete the current data. **Recommendations to others considering Raptor Visitor Management:** Raptor is a user-friendly security system that is heading in the right direction. So far, it has grown with our needs and, hopefully, will continue to do so. I'm not familiar with other security programs that are available, but I have no problems using Raptor. I am also informed by our parents and substitutes that other schools they've been at, also use Raptor. **What problems is Raptor Visitor Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** Hasn't really solved any problems we've had in the past. It is nice, for peace of mind to staff as well as parents/guardians, to know that we aren't letting anyone dangerous, onto campus. This is especially useful when signing in contractors. Over time, we get to know most of our families. However, we have no idea where a lot of our contractors get their employees or if they're properly screened to work around children. ### 5. There are so many things that don’t work or make sense and if they worked at a school prior it would help them understand things a lot better and actually have those things work. **What problems is Raptor Visitor Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** Making sure our students are safe and managing everyone that steps foot onto our campus. ### 6. This program searches registries for any abuse or sexual offenders as well as prints out a nametag with the persons photo and name and location so everyone can make sure they're going where they need to be. ### 7. Its fairly easy to run a drivers license through your machine and pull up any possible offenses of that person. It is also a great way to keep track of visitors and/or volunteers that enter your building. **What do you dislike about Raptor Visitor Management?** The machine that takes in the ID/Drivers License does sometimes malfunction and the information will either not transfer correctly or not transfer at all. **What problems is Raptor Visitor Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is a quick and easy way to manage the visitors that enter your building.
