## Qodo Reviews
  ### 1. To the point!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shai G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Qodo?**

The Algorythm is very good at suggesting unit tests, and adapting with our code base to better the coverage.
AND there are super heplful coding seggestion!
To top it all off, there is excellent support for any questions and thoughts that came to us :)

**What do you dislike about Qodo?**

There is limited support for React and NestJS, but I believe that they are on it ;)
and we are still unsing it to generate the tests, there is just more adaptations that we need to do

**What problems is Qodo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are in the process of updating our codebase from legacy code, Codium is expediting our ability to test cover the areas that we are transitioning.
also, it sometimes feels like having another developer reading through the code, and giving helpful suggestions

  ### 2. Amazing to see CodiumAI write test code and documentation.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sanjeet S. | Senior Data Engineer (IN4), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Qodo?**

It generates quality test cases and documentation with amazing details, in minutes.

**What do you dislike about Qodo?**

There is nothing that I disliked, CodiumAI is revolutionary.

**What problems is Qodo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is improving productivity and quality of life for developers by generating test code and making software robust to bugs. Above all it is increasing the quality of product too. Just you need to polish the tests, generated by CodiumAi to give it your final touch.

Imagine number of hours saved while writing tests and then multiple of those many hours saved during software lifecycle because of improved code quality and fewer bugs and failures. And top that up with the docs generated by CodiumAi.

When I first used it, I had only one question "Why I did not know about it earlier".

  ### 3. A great productivity booster!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jaime Oscar R. | Frontend Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Qodo?**

The test suite tool is quite effective at generating functional, short tests and working as a good base for more complex ones. The overall code suggestions are great, and the code analysis feature will for sure change how easy it is to train someone and help them understand the purpose of multiple code pieces.

**What do you dislike about Qodo?**

As a downside I don't see any really, but it certainly has room to improve the test suite. Do not get me wrong though, the current state of it may take a job from 2 hours to 15 minutes, but it would be amazing to see CodiumAI get rid of those 15 minutes too!

**What problems is Qodo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In an environment where there's little time to spend on tests due to high feature demand & low body count, CodiumAI helps cover our bases and ensure the product released has at least a good baseline of functional tests that would otherwise be impossible to dedicate time to write within dead lines.

  ### 4. You might never need to write a test on your own again

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Qodo?**

CodiumAI generates very brilliant tests that test the happy case and the failing case, this eliminates the tedious process of writing tests yourselves. Also, CodiumAI helps enhance code that you've written into more performant and easy to read code. It's really great

**What do you dislike about Qodo?**

Well, as the name is CodiumAI was expecting it to be able to generate a function once you give it a description but that feature doesn't exist, but overall CodiumAI is still great

**What problems is Qodo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CodiumAI helps reduce the time it takes to get a feature out as you don't have to write tedious boilerplate-y tests on your own anymore, CodiumAI handles that for you

  ### 5. Amazing Experience and it impacts positively the code development

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Qodo?**

It generates very useful test for custom react hook, react components.
I like that it suggests improvement in the code and also can apply those suggestions.

It becomes easy to follow clean coding principles with Codium AI

**What do you dislike about Qodo?**

Sometimes, I have seen that the test are generated using enzyme which can test the props, however I use only react testing library, so I feel there should be an option to chat that I want to generate tests in react testing library only.

**What problems is Qodo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

After writing React components and custom hooks, it is time consuming to write the unit tests that cover every logic of our component, but with codium, it is matter of click, it generates exactly useful test cases for the react components.

With CodiumAI, I'm writing cleaner, more robust code, and it's drastically reduced the time I spend on testing. The promise of a future with faster builds and zero bugs feels truly within reach. This is the epitome of how AI can empower developers.

**What do you dislike about Qodo?**

Truthfully, finding a flaw in CodiumAI is a challenge. If I were to suggest an area for improvement, it would be to offer a more interactive onboarding process for new users to quickly get acclimated to the tool. But once past the initial learning curve, it's an absolute dream to work with. CodiumAI represents the future of coding - it's an essential tool for any developer committed to producing high-quality, bug-free code.

**What problems is Qodo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CodiumAI is primarily solving the problem of time-consuming and tedious code testing. As a developer, I often spend significant portions of my time writing tests to ensure that my code is functioning correctly. This is crucial for building robust and reliable software, but it can be laborious and detract from the time I can spend on designing and implementing new features.

CodiumAI streamlines this process by integrating into my IDE and suggesting meaningful, comprehensive tests for my code as I write it. This is made possible by its ability to analyze my code, docstrings, comments, and interact with me as a developer. This not only saves me a considerable amount of time but also often suggests tests that I may not have thought of, improving the overall quality and reliability of my code.

In addition, CodiumAI is paving the way for a new code integrity paradigm where developers can build faster with zero bugs. By leveraging the power of AI, it provides me with an additional layer of assurance that my code is reliable and bug-free, which is a significant benefit for any software development project.

Overall, CodiumAI is benefiting me by increasing my productivity, improving the quality of my code, and providing me with peace of mind that my code is thoroughly tested and reliable. It's a game-changer in the realm of software development.

**What do you like best about Qodo?**

On smaller teams, TDD is often a pipedream given priorities and velocity. That debt inevitably piles up. Codium makes it super easy to incorporate TDD at any point in your lifecycle.

**What do you dislike about Qodo?**

Not much to dislike yet beyond occasional cache misses or network errors which OpenAI is suffering from extensively. Am a little concerned about privacy but not enough to look at their policy on that yet.

Excellent tool. Have noticed myself writing more tests (mostly because I don't need to write them anymore!)

It recommends great tests with dependencies mocked out - the exact kind of boilerplate that discourages good testing.

**What do you dislike about Qodo?**

Some tests can get repetitive and write test cases for meaningless things like loggers. I can see this improving over time.

**What problems is Qodo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Have noticed myself writing more tests (mostly because I don't need to write them anymore!). My utilities all have basic tests now.

**What do you like best about Qodo?**

I am starting my own project in web development using Python, Django and other languages as a beginner programmer. I check the suggestions tab frequently as it provides really good tips that make sense in my context.

It also helps with following best practices and occasionally catches bugs that slip my awareness.

**What do you dislike about Qodo?**

I wish I had the option to ask questions about my project in an interactive way. A small suggestion would be to highlight the relevant code on the editor while hovering the suggestions/tests in the Codium window
