## Qodo Reviews
  ### 1. Qodo accelerates development with seamless IDE integration and smart AI suggestions

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rafael A. | Sales Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Qodo?**

Qodo helps to write code faster and with higher quality by integrating intelligent AI suggestions directly into the development process. The integration into common development environments works smoothly and noticeably saves time on daily development tasks.

**What do you dislike about Qodo?**

The AI suggestions from Qodo are not always precise and often need to be reviewed or adjusted for more complex projects. Additionally, some advanced features are only available in paid plans, and the onboarding process can take some time for new users.

**What problems is Qodo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Qodo solves the problem that code reviews, tests, and development often take a lot of time. The AI helps me to write code, understand it better, and improve it specifically, as well as to create tests. This allows me to develop faster, detect errors earlier, and overall improve code quality.

  ### 2. Excellent AI tool for automated testing and code quality control

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Swetha R. | Freelancer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Qodo?**

It generates unit tests that actually run and make sense for my code. Instead of giving generic placeholder tests, it picks up on edge cases in functions that I might have missed and saves me from writing all the repetitive test boilerplate manually.

**What do you dislike about Qodo?**

Large codebases can take a bit of time to index when you first open them. Also, if a function depends on several different files, it sometimes takes a couple of tries to get complete test coverage.

**What problems is Qodo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to skip writing unit tests on tight deadlines because writing test boilerplate took up too much time. Qodo speeds that up so we can actually keep our test coverage high and catch bugs before pushing code to production.

  ### 3. Qodo Boosts Code Quality and Productivity Across the Development Lifecycle

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Qodo?**

What I like most about Qodo is its focus on improving code quality throughout the development lifecycle rather than just generating code. Its AI-powered assistance for writing, reviewing, testing, and documenting code helps developers deliver more reliable software with less manual effort. AI-assisted code generation with strong awareness of project context. Intelligent code reviews that help identify bugs, maintainability issues, and potential improvements. Automated test generation that increases code coverage with minimal effort. Helpful explanations and documentation generation that make complex code easier to understand. Smooth integration with modern development workflows and version control systems. For me, the most valuable feature is the AI-driven test and code review capabilities. They help catch potential issues early, reduce repetitive work, and improve confidence before code reaches production. The biggest benefit is increased developer productivity while maintaining high code quality. Qodo streamlines routine development tasks, allowing me to spend more time solving complex problems and less time on repetitive coding and review activities.

**What do you dislike about Qodo?**

The biggest drawback is the need to validate AI-generated code and tests. While the suggestions are usually helpful, I always review them to ensure they align with the project's architecture, coding standards, and functional requirements. The quality of recommendations depends on how well the platform understands the project's context. Large repositories can sometimes result in slower analysis or more generalized suggestions. Some advanced features have a learning curve, especially for teams adopting AI-assisted development for the first time.

**What problems is Qodo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Qodo solves the challenge of maintaining high code quality while keeping development cycles fast. It combines AI-assisted coding, testing, code reviews, and documentation to reduce repetitive engineering tasks and identify potential issues earlier in the software development process. Generates code and unit tests, reducing manual development effort. Identifies potential bugs and code quality issues before they reach production. Assists with code reviews by providing actionable suggestions and explanations. Helps developers understand unfamiliar code through AI-generated documentation and summaries. Improves development consistency by encouraging best practices across the codebase. In my workflow, Qodo helps accelerate feature development by generating initial implementations, creating test cases, and reviewing pull requests for potential issues. It reduces the amount of repetitive work involved in coding and testing, allowing me to focus more on application design and solving business problems. The biggest benefit is faster software delivery with improved code quality. By automating routine development tasks and providing intelligent review and testing assistance, Qodo helps reduce defects, improve maintainability, and increase developer productivity.

  ### 4. A Major Time-Saver for Unit Tests and Understanding Existing Code

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ameer A. | Salesforce Developer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Qodo?**

The biggest benefit for me is the amount of time it saves during development. I use it regularly to generate unit tests and explain existing code, and both features have been helpful in my day-to-day work. The code suggestions give me a good starting point, so I don't have to begin from scratch every time. It's also useful when I need to understand code written by someone else, making it easier to work with existing projects.

**What do you dislike about Qodo?**

The generated suggestions sometimes need manual refinement before they can be used. I still review and update the output to make sure it matches my requirements and coding standards. It works well as a starting point, but I don't treat the generated code as final without checking it first.

**What problems is Qodo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Qodo helps me reduce the time spent on repetitive development tasks like generating unit tests and understanding existing code. Instead of writing everything from scratch or spending extra time figuring out unfamiliar code, I can get a useful starting point quickly. This makes my development workflow more efficient and allows me to spend more time on implementation while still reviewing the generated output before using it.

  ### 5. "Qodo" Bug Finding and Generates Snippets Fastly

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bhagya H. | Product specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Qodo?**

Qodo helps me identify bugs easily, and it generates snippets very fast. Qodo is the best software that every development team should use to work faster and more effectively.

**What do you dislike about Qodo?**

Sometimes it gives irrelevant output, but this happens only in rare cases. Additionally, the history is not saved.

**What problems is Qodo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Qodo helps us identify exactly where the bug is and what the issue is easily, and it also rectifies it within minutes. It saves time for the development team and also helps increase our programming skills.

  ### 6. Qodo’s AI Reviews and Test Generation Boost Code Quality and Reliability

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohamed S. | Head of market analysis, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Qodo?**

I like that Qodo focuses on improving code quality through AI-powered reviews and test generation. It helps teams catch issues early, reduce bugs, and deliver more reliable software faster.

**What do you dislike about Qodo?**

The main drawback is that it can take some time to integrate into existing workflows, and AI-generated suggestions still require human review. Improving onboarding and expanding language support would make it even more effective.

**What problems is Qodo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Qodo helps reduce the time spent on code reviews and testing by catching potential issues early. Even from a business perspective, I see the value in helping teams deliver more reliable software faster, which means fewer bugs, smoother releases, and a better experience for customers.

  ### 7. Underwhelming Experience with Limited Features for the Price

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Qodo?**

I liked the auto-generated rules concept in Qodo.

**What do you dislike about Qodo?**

I found it disappointing that after 4 months, there was no development in Qodo and there are much better solutions available like Greptile. The analytics are really weak, and the generated rules are unintuitive. There's also a lack of support, customization, and it's unable to connect to repositories for context. The initial setup was not great; it took the wrong email from GitHub and I was never able to change it. Other team members who joined through GitHub faced different issues connecting to the team.

**What problems is Qodo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I expected Qodo to solve cross repo code reviews, take feedback on false positives, analytics and security reviews.

**Official Response from Almog Lavi:**

> Hi Mark,

Thanks for the detailed feedback, and I'm sorry the experience fell short.

A few of the things you raised have been addressed in our most recent release. Cross-repo review is live, so reviews pull context across multiple repositories instead of one. You can read about it in our docs - https://docs.qodo.ai/governance/cross-repo-code-review.
On the rules feeling unintuitive, our new Rules Miner automatically generates them from your existing codebase and past PR discussions, so they reflect how your team actually works rather than something you have to decipher. Read more here - https://docs.qodo.ai/governance/rule-enforcement/rule-miner . False-positive feedback now feeds back into the system too, refining future reviews and cutting down repeat noise.

The onboarding problems, the wrong GitHub email with no way to change it, and your teammates' connection issues, shouldn't have happened. I'd like to get those fixed for you.

If you're open to it, reach us at support@qodo.ai or reply here and I'll connect you with our team directly to sort the setup and walk through what's new.

Thanks again for the honest review.

Almog Lavi
Head of Product, Qodo

  ### 17. the best way I found to use LLMs in my development processes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** yuval z. | backend engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Qodo?**

in my experiance Qodo excels in two aspects:
1) Writing unit tests. this is an activity that used to take a significant amount of time in the past (at times more then the code writing it self) qodo genereates great unit tests in seconds , sometimes with edge cases i did not consider , finding bugs before the end-user does.
2) being a virtual teammate whom i can "bug" as much as I want. I can ask it why my code is not working, how to imporve it , get most of the value of a code-review before I commit the code and just ask the "stupid questions" without looking like a fool , getting the answer that already fits my code.

**What do you dislike about Qodo?**

Not a big issue , but chat history is not saved if i open and close my intellij. there is a message that this is comming soon so it might be solved by the time you are reading this.

**What problems is Qodo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Qodo imporoves the unit testing flow and the quality of code written

  ### 18. Awesome test assistant for software developers and not only...

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Evgeny P. | Chief Technology Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Qodo?**

I am using QoDo (AKA Codium) as an addon to VSCode.
- It automatically creates unit tests for functions and classes.
- It supports most popular programming languages
- You can choose from multiple test versions it offers or tell it to create more
- But it can provide way more beside unit tests. It has chat bot, whom you can ask any question or give instructios about your code. So it can find mistakes, or provide advises
- You can define scope for the bot: either selected part or current tab or the whole project context
- And if you switch to pre-release version - it has code auto-completion feature similar to Copilot

**What do you dislike about Qodo?**

Only one feature is missing - Visual Studio support. Some devs in my team using VS, others - VSC. And in VS Qodo is not availabel yet unformtunately.

**What problems is Qodo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It greatly saves time required for writing unit tests.

  ### 19. Qodo: An Indispensable AI-Powered Coding Assistant for Visual Studio Code

  ### 20. Brilliant, easy to download and even easier to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abdulsalam A. | Student, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Qodo?**

It's free, has the ability to take images with no limit, has some really good quality of life features such as highlighting the entirety of the lines/text that you want or just specific functions as well as a bunch of useful /commands that are good for the average user, can be used by both newbies and professionals, have used it in almost every project that I needed any help with

**What do you dislike about Qodo?**

Not that great with web development in general, but yet again there is no chatbot in the market that is particualry good in that aspect at the moment anyways

**What problems is Qodo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helped me develop bots and their algorithms in my project, practical in solving a lot of issues unlike other chatbots that go for "completing lines and prediction of what you're trying to code" that end up failing most of the time or just not get what I want

  ### 21. Qodo is a built in analyzer, brainstormed, and proofreader

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda R. | SEO Coordinator and Automation Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Qodo?**

I use Qodo Gen + VS Code to audit, build, refactor, optimize, and review code of all sorts, ranging from SEO-specific HTML to Django and Next.js architectures to custom Python scripts. The most powerful feature I use the most is adding context - this is what most UI chatbots are missing to be truly helpful: the full picture!
Qodo does an amazing job of catching errors and inefficiencies I missed, as well as teaching me about concepts through the code I'm working on. With the right attitude, this tool can be a full blown education system!

**What do you dislike about Qodo?**

Sometimes Qodo can miss the mark on conciseness and relevance, but intentional prompt engineering and learning these patterns helps alleviate this a lot.

**What problems is Qodo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Qodo helps me refactor and analyze more than anything else, usually relative to building custom tools or performing SO audits.

  ### 22. Hard to imagine working without it

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yoel F. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Qodo?**

I started using QodoGen for generating tests for my code. At first it was cloggy and I had to manually fix the tests.
Now I can't do without it.
I set the context to my current branch or even uncommitted changes, and ask it in the chat to give me a code review.
This allows me to look better when I submit my code as a PR and save my coworkers and my company time by having more polished commits!

**What do you dislike about Qodo?**

Some features are not intuitive and it has a bit of a learning curve. Nothing that a tutorial can't solve.

**What problems is Qodo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It creates tests for me in the style I choose.
It saves time and finds gaps in the code or suggestions for improvement.

  ### 23. Good and positive experience using Qodo

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Qodo?**

Qodo is quite effective in generating python code and unit test-cases. I use it on a regular basis for my coding tasks

**What do you dislike about Qodo?**

Generally, the unit test cases doesn't run at the very first go. We need to make multiple attempts to make the test cases work.

**What problems is Qodo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Code generation in a language which I am not well versed with, like Python. It also helps with unit test case generation in the same language. It helps with the syntaxes and specific libraries.

  ### 24. Unlocks Developer Productivity :-)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Okechukwu D. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Qodo?**

Qodo intelligently understands the context of my code and has project-specific nuances, that can make a huge difference. It helps by reducing the time spent figuring out syntax or recalling function names, improving both speed and code quality.

**What do you dislike about Qodo?**

Qodo can sometimes struggle with more complex or niche coding tasks.

**What problems is Qodo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Qodo offer suggestions that improve code quality by recommending best practices, cleaner code, or optimizations. This not only speeds up coding but helps maintain a high standard across the project, ensuring consistency in style, structure, and performance.

  ### 25. Very robust. Intuitive interface. Ability to pick right direction in unit test creation.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrey K. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Qodo?**

Simplicity. It is first. The second is - ability to select unit test generation level, test it on fly and get help to fix issues.

**What do you dislike about Qodo?**

Interface can be better. I do not know how to improve it but I think you need to create some kind of desission tree from where I can pick direction and tests.

**What problems is Qodo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Timing. I always spend a lot of time to generate simple Unit Tests.

  ### 26. CodiumAI has made software development fun again!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephen M. | Senior Software Engineer and Co-Founder, MobyNet Corp., Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Qodo?**

I had been using Copilot for several months but never was satisfied with its results. If I asked it a question, we had to iterate over and over to get to the answer I needed. It's LLM was (and still is) behind the times so when it did give an answer that was close, it still relied on old data such as API names, package names, etc.

Having grown dissatisfied with Copilot, I started to watch some YouTube videos on AI code pairing tools and one video that caught my attention rated 10 AI tools and it ranked CodiumAI as number one. I decided to give it a try and was instantly blown away. Does it require iterating over a question to get to the right answer? Yes, but I expect that out of any AI tool. The difference was it required far fewer go-rounds to get to the answer I was seeking. I immediately cancelled my Copilot subscription and subscribed to CodiumAI. I was instantly far more productive than I have ever been. It is truly my coding buddy. I use it all the time!

Their support staff does a marvelous job as well. They even reached out to me via a video call to get to the bottom of some of the issues I raised. You just don't see that often enough nowadays (Thank you so much, Almog!!)

Hands down the best AI pairing tool out there and worth every penny it costs me. I highly recommend it!

Get it! Use it! Love it!

**What do you dislike about Qodo?**

There's not much to dislike. It's a young product so you would expect some rough patches. The chat window has a glitch, but its by no means a deal breaker. That's about all I could complain about!

**What problems is Qodo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have a product I have maintained for years, but it was time to update the technology. I made a decision to change some of the development from C# to Golang and CodiumAI got me up to speed in no time. That right there was a game changer. We have all search the web for an answer only to be led down a rabbit hole, spending hours and never really finding the results I needed. CodiumAI eliminated the frustration and truly has made me a far more productive engineer.

**What do you like best about Qodo?**

CodiumAI is truly a standout tool, particularly for JavaScript developers. Its seamless integration with both VS Code and IntelliJ sets it apart, offering advanced code suggestions and analysis. The fact that it supports various programming languages, including Go, is a big plus. I've found it to be exceptionally feature-rich when working with JavaScript in VS Code, streamlining workflows and providing valuable insights.

**What do you dislike about Qodo?**

If there's one thing to keep in mind, it's that while CodiumAI is incredibly powerful, it's not a silver bullet. As with any AI-powered code generator, the code it produces should be reviewed by developers. This isn't so much a drawback as it is a reminder of the importance of human oversight. In reality, this combination of AI assistance and human expertise can lead to code that's not just efficient but also highly secure and in line with best practices. In this sense, CodiumAI's collaborative approach is a strength rather than a weakness. Additionally, based on my experience, the feature-rich environment for JavaScript development in VS Code surpasses its Go counterpart.

**What problems is Qodo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Learning and Insights: CodiumAI provides valuable insights into coding patterns and practices. This can be an excellent learning tool for developers, helping them improve their coding skills and stay up-to-date with best practices.

In essence, CodiumAI benefits developers by increasing their efficiency, reducing repetitive work, and providing valuable insights. It streamlines the coding process, allowing developers to concentrate on more creative and strategic aspects of their projects.

I'm a big fan of CodiumAI. It is a time-saving tool for developers that generates correct test ideas and provides complete code visibility. It is simple to use, intuitive, and constantly evolving, making it a game changer in the software development industry.

**What do you dislike about Qodo?**

Overall, I believe CodiumAI is a fantastic tool, although it still has space for growth. I hope the CodiumAI team will continue to work on enhancing the tool's speed, accuracy, and availability.

**What problems is Qodo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 50. A powerful tool that can save you a lot of problems

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yossi Z. | SCM DevOps Group Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Qodo?**

CodiumAI has a powerful way to analyze and understand your code. It allows it to offer multiple features which are useful and productive.

I particularly enjoy the Code Suggestion feature which reviews your code (and also yml, css, virtually any type of file) and provides improvement suggestion that range from potential bugs, to security issues, language features, you name it.And, if you like a suggestion, you can accept it with a single click. I learned alot from this feature alone.

Generating automated tests is also an impressive and useful feature. It feels like CodiumAI really understands what your code does and it offers meaningful tests, as well as a multitude of simple unit tests and ui tests to cover any possible scenario, and then some more.

In short, it's a must-have tool in every developer's arsenal. And DevOps engineers too :)

**What do you dislike about Qodo?**

There are cases where it suggests a really large amount of tests which takes time to go through and decide what would actually be beneficial. Also, in some cases the suggested tests doesn't work due to missing imports (usually when the original code has messy imports)

**What problems is Qodo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a real "Left Shift" of quality and security. Writing tests can be hard, and usually incomplete. CodiumAI solves all that and offers insights that many developers don't even think about.
