This gives a lot of control over all the aspects of the scene and I was able to get very realistic renders. **What do you dislike about POV-Ray?** POV-Ray involve user to write scenes in textual form which is a procedural language. This can be highly time wasting for starters and artists who are used to workflows that are more graphic in nature. **What problems is POV-Ray solving and how is that benefiting you?** For the professional render 3D artists who would wish to have full control over the renders they create, POV-Ray is the best option to go for. It is free and open source and therefore it is cheap to use for independent artists. ### 2. It provides me a strong rendering engine and has several libraries of textures and material through which I can avail ready made ones. **What do you dislike about POV-Ray?** Remediation and information building are somewhat labor intensive. Hence, the scene description language is programmed intensively to define aspects such as texture mapping, reflectiveness, or refractiveness of the materials. **What problems is POV-Ray solving and how is that benefiting you?** POV-Ray turned out to be a perfect program for achieving professional results in rendering without a financial investment. For example, it provides high-resolution picture for publication in academic. POV-Ray could also interact with various softwares, such as Avogadro, to make colorful 3D pictures of chemical structures. **What do you dislike about POV-Ray?** The control panel of POV-Ray is not very friendly, and t is not easy for a new user to learn how to use it in a short time.
